Appearance
Standing tall at 6 feet, and a wingspan of 8'6'', he cuts an imposing figure. His skin gives off a steel hue, and seems hardened somehow. His feathers are small metallic razors that give off a rainbow hue. This dangerous look is offset by a calm smile and relaxed posture. An observant person would notice that his shadow has a halo, and his clothes and hair ruffle where there is no wind.
Personality
A relaxed person, he will not stand for any injustice. He prefers to use his charm rather than sword. He also always has to prove himself, taking on the risky jobs, looking for praise etc.
Backbround
Balthar was born to two human parents with no history of celestial blood, all thought it a sign from the gods. The birthmark on his hip, a butterfly, indicated who placed Balthar. "But why?" the townspeople asked at first, but then they remembered. The old monk who settled at their village once his feet became to worn from walking. He was a devout follower of Desna, surely he has something to do with this.
Sure enough as they brought the monk in he explained why an aasimir with a birthmark of Desna was born. He had prayed for 5 days and nights for guidance, how to preserve the knowledge he gained through travels so that all could see the wisdom granted by Desna.
Placed under the care of the monk starting at the age of 5, Balther trained for 50 years learning the way of desna, the sword, and right and wrong. He used this to become a dispute mediator in the town.
When the dead came Balthar fought alongside his master to slow the waves of evil, but eventually was forced to run. Now only with his armour and weapon, he guards the refugees.
