Ogre

Blood and burnt flesh, that’s the smell permeating the death trap hallway created by the ingenuous mind of one of the earlier protectors of the place, the dark Knight Lady Rose.

”Another magik un’!” Grumblejack laughs when he receives the healing magic as he continues his attack on the red-skinned barbarian.

Atk: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Dmg: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) + 10 = 14

Ogre

Due to her own nefarious motives, Bizan arrived late to support her newfound allies, but what matters is that she arrived, one way or another. Panting and gasping for breath, the woman stops her sprint just closer to Grumblejack, which as soon she gets near, takes flight laughing and diving into the corridor.

”Grumblejack never ate red skinned un’s. How do they taste like?” he says whooping in the air and bringing down his gigantic hammer on the head of the red skinned barbarian, covering the retreat of the enemies.

Atk (higher ground): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Dmg: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) + 10 = 19

And even tho the man tries to sidestep, the attack, he gets hit by it.

Ogre

”Hah! Finally Grumblejack can have some fun!” the ogre says grinning taking point after Cecelia used her spell.

I’ll wait a bit for Hound and Mysty

Ogre

The half devil ogre, since he has almost no room for attaking the enemies behind the dragon, decides to cast a spell over the area, while the others deal with the bigger thread.
”Never ate a dragon before!” he shouts happily with the situation.
Using unholy blight on the twins and Calliaste.
CL: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Dmg: 6d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 3, 6, 3) = 23
Sickened: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Ogre

"Missy Un'" the ogre looks at her suspiciously "You Un' just never what?" he asks curiously, but don't even wait for an answer as he continues eating and talking.

He has a mind to follow the woman, but then, the food seems more appealing. He wanted to show he could cast magic as well, but then again, he already did it on the battle, so she probably already knew, unsless she was blind, with those strange eyes of her.

Taking one last bite from his raw snake-lady meat, he asks "What now?"

Ogre

Eggs and potatos? Who cares about that stuff! Meat! Rarer the better!

The ogre thinks to himself happily while eating large amount of almost raw snake-lady-meat, with some bites as well of moondog, so you know, the opportunity doesn’t go to waste.
As the others move towards the kitchen, the ogre gets interested in the newcomers, especially the one that could conjure magic.

As Cecelia enters the Kitchen, the ogre moves towards her, a raw piece of meat in his hand, blood dripping from his mouth, it smiles a fiendish and murderous smile. He seems ready to attack the Cecelia at any time! This is how Cecelia sees the ogre.

As Cecelia enters the Kitchen, the ogre gets up, happily smiling while taking another bite from the delicious meat he is eating. Since he is curious, he tries his best to demonstrate how amiable he is, smiling broadly and welcoming to their new companion. This is how Grumble see the situation.

”Un’, how should Grumblejack call you?”

Ogre

Not disappointed, just feel like I failed to provide a near death experience for our newcomers... I'll have to work harder next time.

Grumble is far from his better shape, but even then, he moves forward to attack the invisible enemy.
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 48
Atk: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Dmg: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) + 10 = 23

The big earthbreaker shatters the stone but hits no enemy at all.

”Where’s the doggy?”

Ogre

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

"It's raining arrows! Take cover!!!" The ogre yells, as the illusory arrows pieces his shoulders and head and armor, blood pouring freely from his several wounds.

Grumble takes a step back and finally chances a spell, restoring a little bit of his health.
Clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grumblejack takes 44 (80% of 55) points of damage.

Ogre

I forgot about Grumble.

The half fiend ogre moves towards the battle and strikes where hound pointed.
”Dog’un, are you sure they are here?” the ogre ask somewhat dubious.

30% Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 15

Ogre

”The dogs again?” Grumblejack complains once he sees and then un-see the enemy.
Somewhat copying Bizan, he also unleashes a explosion of foul and dark energy over a large area.

CL x SR 16: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Dmg: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 6, 3) = 19 plus sickened for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds

But Grumble has no idea if his spell hit anything, since he can’t see the enemy.

Ogre

Grumblejack, the half-demon grinning ogre look at Tiadora, makes a face, looks away and then glare at the newcomers.

”These un’s seem very weak.” the ogre says bluntly ”Grumblejack could rip their un’s head with a single bite.” he boast not too forcefully.

But then, he introduce himself ”Grumblejack, slayer of lots of things. Eater of even more things.”

Ogre

Grumblejack, the ogre finishes chewing the priest head and then notices the fox woman is awake and alive.
”What manner of un’ is this one?” he asks genuinely curious squatting besides the humanoid fox woman and poking her with a huge finger.

”Can we keep her? Grumblejack has Un’s and the Snake woman to eat, but this one fox un’ish might be a fine meal tomorrow!”

Ogre

Grumblejack ignores the man Hound is currently fighting with to deal with the man trapped on the tentacles.

Atk: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Dmg: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) + 10 = 17

The gigantic hammer flies down towards the man’s head, but is not able to finish off the Medium.
”I’ll kill you, un!” Grumblejack bellows in rage.

Ogre

Round: Surprise

Grumblejack gets fancy, raising his earthbreaker and conjuring the power of darkness over his foes. The power takes the form of a cold, cloying miasma of greasy darkness.
[dice=Will DC 16 Unholy Blight]2d8[/dice]

Round: One

And then he takes flight towards the tin can’s mounted on horses.
”It’s a feast! Snake lady, horses and un’s!” he laughs in delight dropping down from the sky attacking the nearest enemy.
Atk: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 30
Dmg: 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 1, 5) + 10 = 20

Ogre

"Where's the meal?" Grumblejack rages as the woman disappear.

With nothing else to, he moves in the direction indicated by hound, until they end up hitting something invisible in the air.

Hound, you have an attack against the celestial. Don't forget the 50% miss chance.

Ogre

Grumblejack now hosting an anklegrabbing Hound, charges with delight at the flying woman.
”Elfy, prepare the fire… Oh, Grumblejack forgot, you prefer it extra rare!”
Atk: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 1 + 2 = 26
Dmg: 3d6 + 12 + 5 ⇒ (5, 4, 5) + 12 + 5 = 31

The ogre laughs in delight with his now enhanced mobility. Flying to catch a flying snake! Grumblejack had never thought such things possible.
Hound, you can have your full attack as well, just remember you can use only one hand, and case you are using the greatsword, that applies a -2 pen to your attack.

Ogre

The black tentacles lashes indiscriminately at the elfs but offer no danger to them, the nimble creatures easily avoiding the threat summoned by the witch.

--

A nasty full toothed grim appears on Grumblejack face as he watches the skinship sharing between Hound and the flying snake lady.
He takes flight towards the pair commenting offhandedly ”Dog Un’ seems to be having fun. Maybe the other Un’ wasn’t doing her job properly!”

Swift to smite good, move and attack.
Atk: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Dmg: 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) + 12 = 16

The gigantic Earthbreaker turns into a deadly weapon, as the ogre finishes his flight-charge with a powerful downward arc, which missed the woman's head by a hairs width, but that didn't saved her from the impact of the weapon.

Ogre

The ogre seems very happy to see Seren and Nahia, he flies over and take both in a big hug.
”Grumblejack needs to…” then he notices the damage done to Seren and asks ”What happened?”

Ogre

”O’curse Grumblejack drinks! Elfy gives the best ones to Grumblejack.” he looks puzzled to you all and then asks as if not believing in his own question. ”Do.. err Hound un’ don’t drink?”

Ogre

It takes some seconds to register what Hound had said, but then the ogre is clearly enraged! ”Who un’ dares to dissobaay! Grumblejack will eat his head!”
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 4 = 18

The ogre roars with rage enforcing Hound’s death threat!

Ogre

Sometime later, Grumblejack stumbles again in the second floor. He seems… tipsy and after looking at your guys for some time, and then looking at the bodies and the golem and the dogs he finally asks ”Did Grumblejack miss the party?”

Ogre

Atk: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Dmg: 3d6 + 16 ⇒ (2, 1, 5) + 16 = 24

Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Dmg: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Grumblejack finishes off the barbarian with a powerful attack from his eartbreaker, and lastly biting the enemy head’s off.
The ogre’s huge mouth closes around the barbarian’s neck, ripping it off with a sickening sound. Grumblejack then proceeds to chew his prized meat.

Ogre

Eldred, there was no new interaction with the illusion, you still cannot make another will save to disbelief it.
Round 2

The ogre looks around, deciding what’s the best prey in all the and the decides:
”The big un’s is Grumblejack meal!”
He says and start by casting a spell, but no one told the ogre the difference between good and bad people, so the spell is wasted.

Round 3

He takes flight deciding to return to his usual strategy. Fly, drop, kill.
Atk: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Dmg: 3d6 + 16 ⇒ (2, 1, 2) + 16 = 21

But the attack is wasted.

Ogre

Without a clear target, Grumblejack just wait, not really sure of what’s going on.

Ogre

@Johan

The ogre listens thoughtfully for a moment and then grunts a reply, perhaps only to himself.

“Someone has beaten Grumblejack before. Someone has hunted, hated and hurted Grumblejack before. But up until today, nobody ever save Grumblejack before. You think Grumblejack owe you something?”

Ogre

Grumble is ma boy! Can't die! :D

The beaten, battered ogre slowly opens his eyes. He speaks slowly and uncertainly. “Grumblejack still ... alive? You save Grumblejack?”

Ogre

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Grumblejack shrugs away the suggestion as if he himself had some innate magic resistance.
To tell the truth, the ogre didn’t even notice the old man used a spell on him.

”What’s with that Crazy old un’ over there?” he asks unleashing another attack.
Atk | PA: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 1 + 1 = 35
Dmg: 3d6 + 16 + 5 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) + 16 + 5 = 28
Critical Confirm: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 13 + 1 + 1 = 27
Dmg: 6d6 + 32 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 6, 5, 5) + 32 + 5 = 67
That’s highly anticlimactic…

The earthbreaker, guided by demonic strength, describe a downward arc with devastating force and momentum.
Hajar raises his sword, in a feeble attempt to defend himself.
The earthbreaker crush the raised arm, destroy the man’s head, and cripple half of the body against the stone floor of the cave. The sickening noise of meat and bones bring grinded against the weapon, the curt and short moan of pain.

Grumblejack looks at the dead body in the floor and then says offhandedly.
”Grind the meat. It gets tender and tastier.”
I’ve ran out of time, I’ll post the good guys actions in some hours. I have a job interview in some minutes to which I’ve been preparing for some days now.

Ogre

”Rá, even the scary un’ is scared!” Grumblejack sneers mistaking Johan trying to lure the man away from his enemies with being afraid of facing him.
Not that it matters for the ogre; he takes flight again, and enters the boggard village. The wouldn’t attack the shinning, that was the scary un’s prey, instead he goes after another, the man in with the iceing sword.

Swift to smite, then attack
Atk: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 1 + 1 = 16 Nat1? Really? :(
Dmg: 3d6 + 16 + 5 ⇒ (2, 6, 5) + 16 + 5 = 34

But the attack, strong as it is, offers no real risk to the warrior.

Ogre

After all the flying, Grumblejack takes his time to put Cedric down, while waiting to see how the others would do.

He wanted to wade amongst the enemies and bite their head off and eat to his heart content. But she was cautious about what to do, the un's were apprehensive of the tin can's over there. Then Grumblejack would wait to enter the place, but that would not prevent him from causing some mayhem.
Casting Unholy Blight
Dmg: 2d8 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5

Ogre

Grumblejack purrs as Karlotta departs the fray, “What a woman!”

INTERLUDE OUT

Ogre

Grumblejack is quick to answer, slamming down a leather drinking jack. “Pour wine! Grumblejack look forward to seeing what your lunch looks like.”

And so the drinking contest began.

Ogre

Grumblejack laughs. “Weaker ... hah! If you were to match Grumblejack drink for drink, you’d be dead drunk before the night is half over.”

Ogre

The ogre cocks an eye. “Yeah? Grumblejack hear bugbears can’t hold their liquor.”

Ogre

Grumblejack had been watching the whole thing without saying anything or even doing anything.
Ever since his awakening, he found himself more prone to think before doing something, and while he still loved a good carnage, his instincts told him that such carefree attitude was something he wasn’t capable anymore.
The ogre had changed; bigger, stronger, clever.

He looks at everyone present.

There’s Elfy, my meal, later.
There’s Rotten un’, my teacher.
There’s Pompous un’, thought Grumblejack can never call her that.
There’s Puppy un’. Pompous un' plaything.
There’s Tiny un. Wait, is she a un’? Elfy said something about half-thingly.
And lastly, there’s the Nuts un’. Pompous un’ sister’s...

Ogre

Grumble somewhat ignore all the questions, in his new enhanced mind the answer was clear: That was all due his faith.
Ever since he started practicing magik with the Rotten un’, who secretly pitied him for his lack of understanding. Grumblejack may not understand, but he believed. And now, to prove that, the great dark father had blessed him, with power, understanding, magik and flight!

Hovering some feet above the ground, Grumble can’t contain his happiness and starts to fly about, happy as a little child.
Kinda… strange without the player here, but I hate let history plots go to waste. Link: Grumble Spoiler.

The he flies towards Seren scooping her and hugging her tightly.
He doesn’t say anything, but in his eyes, the message is clear: I did it!

Ogre

Grumblejack is immediately suspicious when Mysty tells his to drink from the water, even more when Rose put some distance from it.
It takes some talking mostly done by Nahia and Seren, to convince the big un’ to drink from the water.

Suddenly Grumblejack changes; his half-fiend heritage is revealed, his horns grow much larger and he can magically fly. Grumblejack is no longer just an ogre. He is something mightier, nastier and he is grateful.

Ogre

Following the un’s request, Grumblejack moves to the sanctum.
Once there, his thirsty returns.

Asking around the place, the thirst is stronger near the altar, wrapped in silver chains.

Ogre

”Just familiar.” he says to Rose.

”Just thirsty.” He answer Seren/Rose ”Grumblejack feels like a fire burning which no water can quench when Grumblejack goes where the Silver Chains are.”

To Hound’s question, to Ogre stop to think until he finally answers.
”Grumblejack doesn’t know.”

I must have missed it, cause I don't remember.

Edit:

Ah, I see now what question you are talking about and yes, I didn't answered. Sorry about that.

Ogre

”Oh, that ghosty one we met upstairs?” the ogre stops to think before saying ”Can it be eaten? Grumblejack doesn’t think his teeth could do it…” the ogre begins clearly distracted by something else ”Grumblejack knows this place. But don’t know.” he makes an impatient sound as he tries once more ”Here feel like someplace Grumblejack knew long ago, only that Grumblejack do not know this place.”

Ogre

"What you un's are talking about?"

Not have being invited to the round table meeting, Grumblejack asks as he enters and see the others talking about weapons, ghost, arrows, magic.

Ogre

It's a mind-effect. Also, it's a K:Planes, but whatever, I messed with the descriptions.

"Daeg's. Grumblejack don't like them!" he says moving further away from the outsiders.

Ogre

”Grumblejack will keep the un' safe.” he says following Sidious to deal with the rouge wraiths.
