We've also decided to change up our previous policy a bit with regards to the promotional mini we give out free with a $50 purchase. Playtest preorders and Subscription Pick Up will now count towards the $50 minimum. Both the kiosk and the booth will have a supply of the promotional mini, however these are limited in number and are only available while supplies last.

We are looking at starting the process of creating the Gen Con subscription pick up orders on Monday, July 16th.

With just 3 weeks to go, let us know if you have questions!

you guys really should consider sent out the mini to subscribers too.Month aftermonth for years some of us consistently spent well over 50$.It qould be nice to reward us too.please give it some thought.

Can we please please please get a monthly Starfinder comic? I will be honest I bought this issue largely for the map and the StarFinder bonus story.

can we get starfinder maps done the same way? i know there were no map packs as it were, but these would be very useful. maybe start alternatining them in with the flipmaps?

My biggest concern is the 4e / Pathfinder split cost the community. Is there enough for 1e 2e 5e. I know some folks never leave the old edition but there seems to be a pretty dedicated 1efan base here.

in a quick survey of my regular player it shakes out to 2 want to try 2e, 2 dont really care and 7 are sticking with 1e for better or worse. All of us voted to switch gears and play starfinder and let things sort themselves out. guess that answers that. i will be cancelling my adventure path and hardback line. planer stuff never really interested me i was only keeping it for completion sake. with a total of about 17 splat books to go i will keep them goi g for now. i have subscribes to everything starfinder .

the funny thing is a week ago i decided pathfinder was "forever" and money and shelf space were getting tight and there would never be a "complete" collection so i was toying with dropping some lines. Now im trying to figure out if i want to ride out the last year and change.

I think overall this will be good just not for me. I have enough product to last years. and not going forward will free up money to let me buy other games and products for them. Not bitter just not interested either.

i wish you all the best of luck but come August of 2019 we will be parting ways. i have every single book for 1e in print and will not be starting over. Sorry. I will continue Starfinder however.

I'd consider buying a towel with the StarFinder logo on it.

I don't think enough people are interested in a full time internet connection product, especially in areas, like con's, brick & mortar stores and other spots with no wifi to support the new business model.

If at the same time they even imply that eventually HLO will be the ONLY way to use all of the modules we've already unlocked the system may well be dead on arrival.

While I appreciate that is your perspective, I suggest to you that playing in PFS and Cons can distort your perception of the importance of that element to the broad mass of Herolab users.

PFS, WiFi at cons and operating within a store is a matter which affects only a small minority if Herolab's paying customers.

In short, I think you are projecting your concerns on the broad mass of users. They are not the same thing.

Actually I don't do Cons or PFS and hate the idea of only online.

Well that seems pretty conclusive. So where else can I go for a StarFinder character generator? Any suggestions?

I am maintaining a wait and see attitude but in case anyone is listening. If StarFinder is only online and subscription I will not spend a dime on it, ever.

I just realized my stuff should get here by the weekend which I have off....and then I realized it is also my 17th wedding anniversary. At which point my wife says to me "so, let's try a quick game on Saturday and cook some burgers with friends." That folks is why I married Mrs. mine all Mine.

As much as I want this I guess I cant justify the expense on a game ive yet to play. Maybe if there are still copies in a month or two though....

I had originally kind of written androids off as just being a different flavor of human and was much more interested in some of the more alien races. After this discussion i see a whole lot more interest in the android.

Dark Archive

The old friends thing must be wierd. People would recognize the androids frame/body but they would have a different personality and or memories. Boy tons of potential there....i need to jot that down in my notes....

You learned something today! And hopefully, because you asked, some other people did, too. I hope you take the responses you've garnered in the best possible light and agree to agree that Navasi is pretty awesome.

Oh I've preordered the entire line I'm hooked.

That's how I read it.
Okay, but ask yourself why you feel the need choose a world without minorities.

I didn't choose to see a world without minority's, I have a friend I'd like to think I'd do just about anything for, and we're straight. i didn't see heroic sacrifice as been about sexual orientations. I love my friends and I'd do anything for them,

What I'm about to point out, shouldn't be seen as either an indorsement or an condemnation of a particular view point, but more as a commentary on how something, like this backstory, that actually can appeal to both view points.

When I read the backstory, there isn't anything in it, that overtly speaks to the sexuality of Navasi. It clearly states that she considered herself inseparable from this woman (the original navasi), but what does that mean? are we talking lesbians?, platonic love? good friends? it actually doesn't explicitly say what the relationship was between the two, which in my opinion is good thing. Because it leaves room for every player to project, some of what they would like to see on to character, so that every player of every background can feel some part of them being represented in the setting.
Said in another way, she is a person that's enough of a blank slate that people can mirror some of themselves, their backgrounds and relationships in her, while not being so much a blank slate that she seems unfinished or disjointed.

This! this is apparently what I am struggling to say!

Not what I said but a random sampling of people, does not bear out the number of alternate lifestyle presented in paizo iconics. Is orientation important to play? As others have suggested in the above post making the characters sort of generic is good than why nail down sexual orientations? I had read the above as the two women being friends without having to read in gay. Let people choose.

Okay I know I'm going to catch hell for this too but.... Does every group of characters need to have a gay character? Do we really need to know? It's starting to seem forced. And before everyone jumps on me, I don't care what your orientation is its your business, not mine. Do what makes you happy.

Not really sure how I feel. Spoiled rich kid rebels, gets in over head, see how good she really had it. Not really new there. Best friends tragic death leads her to become a better person. Not really all that new either. I kind feel like I've seen this character already. I guess thats why we play our own characters. Not a bad origin just doesnt feel like anything new either.

I like the fact that you can pick what you want. Im concerned that feature will drive up the base price to a point where complete sets are not feasable.

But if I recall correctly Cinnabar was supposed to be attractive (sucker for red head villains), her face here seems a little off.

I love the pose of the 1st Red Mantis, but not sold on the pose of the 2nd seems oddly static.

I don't know I think she looks pretty good....of course this is the digital render the final product will be the true test.
