Male Lycan, Desert Coyote

In the library the librarians were having a bit of a fit. A lycan was reading a fair numbers of books and while normally that would be just fine, this particular lycan was making a dagger and shield go around to collect and carry the ones he wanted. The dagger slide carefully under a book, lifted slightly, and pulled it back out on to the shield as Merikh made slow and measured motions with one arm, practicing his bending while catching up on some required reading, so to speak.

He needed to know the history of the world. Maybe in doing so he'd discover just who had left that bit of Freda Vmysa in the garden and why it depicted what it did...

It was strange, being here. He'd heard the legends surrounding this school and it's students since he was a child playing in the sands. He had often drawn it, imagining it in his mind, and when he finally got here Merikh wasn't surprised when saw just how close his sand art had ben before h'd abandoned the practice for the creation of the arms and armor his clan needed to survive through their own destruction.

Precious few had. Safely hidden away in an underground oasis the clan struggled to revive itself. To learn what had been lost, Merikh had made the trek here. He had one goal from his clan and a few goals for himself he had to accomplish before he returned.

Why he was drawn to a specific part of the gardens eluded him though. It seemed quite familiar to him, like he'd been here a long time ago. He knew what he should be doing -and he had plenty of free time to do it since he stayed caught up in his classes- but this corner seemed to draw him in. He napped there, ate there, studied there.

It wasn't until his third day that he thought to check something and found out just why he'd been dawn here. Who, then, was behind it?

Eh, I've just sleeping in the garden. Got a nice hammock my the vulca flowers. Warm like home there.

Keme: shenanigans in the garden

You stop that. I like my spot in there.

The lycan walks in twirling a dagger around in his fingers out of boredom.

Whats up?

"What's going on?" Merikh groans as he takes a seat in his room. His head was pounding and he didn't know why. Nothing seemed to work either. Needing a distraction, he began looking for the "SIM rooms" he'd heard about. Maybe some busy hobby work would ease his headache like it did back home.

Wouldn't mind a spar now, hehe. ;)

Merikh stopped and looked around, his vision changing before he shook his head.

"Must be hungrier than I thought." He tells the fellow student next to him in the buffet line as he piled food on his plate and went to get a table. "that was weird...."

The young Sirrocan looked around at the corner of the garden and tried to figure out just what drew him here. At first glance there was nothing out of the ordinary at all. Just plants and a stone path and...

He stopped moving as he caught a glimpse of an oasis surrounded by vibrant sands and dejavu set in. Finally he shook his head and stumbled back, one hand on the blade at his belt and the other going to the blue shield on his back. What had he just seen? Why did it feel familiar?

Why could he feel his own energy resonating inside of him right now like it had gotten stronger because of the vision? He knew he should be worried and expected the adrenaline rush that came from fear or surprise, but it did not come. His breathing remained calm.

Merikh sighed and let his arms fall to his sides again as he took a step forward into the vision again. This was amazing! He could smell the plants and feel the sun. Even the animals were the same as back home. He missed his village only a little now, but grinned. His mother's shield was still with him and he knew she'd be waiting for his first visit.

Stepping out of the strange vision he headed back into the school and touched the wall to get a clear line to the cafeteria. It was time to satisfy his craving for foreign cuisine again, and he wasn't going to go hungry without a good reason!
