Actually, you could take Cleric Dedication at 4 with Razmiran Priest. The dedication feat itself allows this in the first sentence of paragraph two.

Indeed. Razmiran Priest Dedication says you can ignore the prerequisites of Cleric Dedication as well as the two archetype feat limitation (but only with the Cleric multiclass archetype).

It also turns all Cleric spells and abilities from Divine to Occult, let's you cast using Charisma rather than Wisdom, and grants you a magical mask that can grant 24 hour temporary hit points to someone equal to twice your level every minute!

That's Toughness x2 for the whole party (and their pets) for nearly every encounter. (And it stacks with Toughness too!)

Razmir! Razmir!! Razmir!!!

There goes another one.

Best of luck in your travels, Zoken44!

It's been a slow day. ;P

What feats, skills, and/or abilities might you prioritize for yourself if you* were magically transported to modern day** Golarion, and why?

They need not match up with your real world abilities. In effect, you would be creating a new avatar for yourself to presumably live out the rest of your life in your new home.

I'm not going to apply a level limit, but let's assume you're low level and will arrive at an (initially) safe location of your choice.

For myself, I'd probably put a high priority on Charisma-based skills and feats, such as Group Impression and Glad-Hand. I imagine being able to make friends quickly would be incredibly useful for surviving, especially in a foreign land. Speaking of survival, I would also have Society and Survival so that I can fend for myself when necessary, and be more aware of the cultural dos and don'ts.

I'd probably be an arcane sorcerer with Arcane Evolution. That way I can better leverage my Charisma-based abilities, will have magical power that cannot be taken from me (unlike a wizard's spellbook, witch's pet, or a fighter's sword), and get the best of both worlds between a sorcerer and wizard (powerful staple spells, plus the ability to build an endless source of specific as-needed magical solutions).

Anything else I decide on would be either to support my chances of survival, or to help me make a living. I would be decidedly unadventurous, taking few risks, but would have options available if forced into a dangerous situation. Point of arrival would probably be Absalom which, being a city, would likely be more familiar than the wilds and would likely offers quite a few options for finding myself.

*:

* You. Not your character, but YOU.

** That is, the most recent in-game date.

PSA: You may or may not actually be transported to Golarion upon hitting Submit Post, so choose wisely. Just in case.

The hoops you're jumping through to justify your position are... bizarre to me, to say the least. I think that you're electing to ignore everything in favor of trying to use "soft words" in order to ensure you don't offend real-life overweight people which... is not what is being discussed.

Take care, or you may get disappeared too without any explanation.

Paizo: Please don't remove posts without explanation. It is difficult to know which of the community guidelines were broken, if any, when posts simply disappear. And even more difficult to avoid repeating offenses that are not known to have happened in the first place.

Steve, you're ... weird, BUT - if there's anything PF1 fans could be frustrated at, it's that there weren't more people like you.

Well, thanks! However, I'm not that sure it is that weird, really.

I suspect there's a lot of the forum regulars who have been here over the years for whom the actual playing of the game is a small part of their enjoyment of the hobby. So it seems reasonable to me that "ability to continue to play the game" is actually of minimal importance to them continuing to enjoy it.

*stands up, shifts nervously*

Hello everyone. My names is...well, not Steve. But I am a Steve and, like many of you, I've come to terms with that. To accept the reality of it.

Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for coming and showing your support, it means a lot to us Steves. And also to say this: You are not alone. And you are not weird. There are many more Steves like yourselves supporting the hobby out there. You being here proves that.

You are not alone. Thank you.

Funniest moment for our table was when Pact Worlds released with a new race of sentient phalluses that roll around on their balls. No one can keep a straight face when talking about the bantrids long enough to figure out how they wear armor or interact with their environment. It just devolves into jokes about raincoat and hard hat protection euphemisms and the like.

My players can't seem to get over the fact that they are essentially sentient phalluses that get around on their giant balls...

Hard to get to such interesting topics as what their clothing or armor should look like or how it should operate, or how they would manipulate things, when no one can keep a straight face.

Even if they could get there, someone will inevitably bring up rain coats or hard hats or other euphemisms for protection.

Give your bodies to Atom, my friends. Release yourself to his power, feel his Glow and be Divided. Come forth and drink the waters of the Glow, for this ancient weapon of war is our salvation, it is the very symbol of Atom's glory! Behold! He's coming with the clouds! And every eye shall be blind with his glory! Every ear shall be stricken deaf to hear the thunder of his voice! Yea, your suffering shall exist no longer; it shall be washed away in Atom's Glow, burned from you in the fire of his brilliance. Each of us shall give birth to a billion stars formed from the mass of our wretched and filthy bodies!

The Ambassador trait from Taldor, Echoes of Glory is a Religion trait, which means you need to follow a specific deity to take it, yes?

What religion do you need to be a part of in order to take it? It's perfect for my character, but I can't seem to find this limitation listed anywhere.

So no ranged attacks from the rider while the mount is charging then?

There's always something you can see or otherwise notice. Spell-like abilities have a similar issue, but they too can be noticed.

Where's the rule that supports that? You really shouldn't make up new rules without an official errata release.

This FAQ, if answered, can only maintain the status quo, or limit people's options. Why do people insist on asking for these kinds of FAQs?

Nice thread! Thanks!

On a related note, what do you think is the best weapon to have made out of wyrwood for an unchained monk?

I'm particularly fond of the two feats (sorry I don't recall their names) that allow you to ignore soft cover with reach weapons, and grant you a +4 dodge bonus against reach attacks. My pole fighters are going to be so much nastier now since they don't have to worry so much about fine positioning or retaliation from larger foes! It stacks well with the Reach Defense feat as well.

They fit perfectly into just about any reach build.

GM's requested DCs:
DC 37, primary target: dwarf in cauldron (must save twice), secondary target: anyone else I can percieve (starting with the closest). Dwarf may need to save a third time depending on circumstances.

SR roll: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (6) + 35 = 41

Unknown Unknown Unknown

GM:
I continue hiding and cast persistent flesh to stone against the dwarf in the cauldron. If he succeeds on both saves, I will also cast a quickened flesh to stone. If he fails the first or second save, I will target the next closest visible (to me) character.

GM Only:
I guess I'm in the statue in 23.22

Does my roc animal companion really need to possess 3 intelligence before being able to pick up the Flyby Attack feat EVEN THOUGH normal rocks with 2 intelligence possess the feat naturally?

Why on earth isn't Flyby Attack on the animal companion feat list?

That just doesn't make any sense to me.

I'm curious: Staffs and wands specify charges, but a metamagic rod only says "Possession of a metamagic rod does not confer the associated feat on the owner, only the ability to use the given feat a specified number of times per day." There's nothing about 3 charges per day.

Can my buddy use a metamagic rod, then toss it to me so I can use it three times as well?

Are the benefits from the Fast Learner feat (Advanced Race Guide under humans) intended to be retroactive? Skill ranks for intelligence increases are retroactive, as are hit points from Toughness. I've also heard developers strongly hint that pretty much everything in Pathfinder is meant to be retroactive (so that two similar characters stay relatively balanced against each other no matter when they took certain feats and abilities).

However, this feat doesn't seem to read that way.

MP's Initiative Roll:
Initiative: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Unknown Unknown Unknown

"Your will becomes our reality, master."

OOC:
Why is this happening? Are you going to move us to Roll20 or something?

Unknown Unknown Unknown

At the declaration of the start of the games, the Masked Participant bows respectfully to the Master before moving behind the statue of the dragon and the halfling female, breaking line of sight. The mysterious figure does not reappear.

Unknown Unknown Unknown

His servant does not seek out combat. It would only serve to interfere with the true tasks at hand.

Unknown Unknown Unknown

The Masked Participant stands patiently, waiting, until finally no one else remains within sight (having fled, turned invisible, teleported, or whatever else).

Then the lonesome figure turns to the Master of Games and says in a gravelly deadpan*:

Read only if you are still present, but otherwise hidden from sight:

"You need not worry, Master. As your humble servant, I shall observe them all in the trials to come, guiding them along their proper paths just as you wished."

Only then does the humble Servant of the Games turn to leave, walking calmly from the room.

* Think of Princess Leia's voice in Star Wars when she was disguised as a bounty hunter in Jabba's Palace.

Unknown Unknown Unknown

The masked participant, a cloaked figure with what appears to be a smooth stone face (that betrays no expression, emotion, sex or race) looks around, silently observing the others standing about.

Please everyone describe your physical appearance, gear and weapons, as well as anything else that can be readily observed at a glance.
