Marcus & Badger "If that's what you think is best, I'll see you la..." Marcus begins to say to Badger, as he notices the man with the heavy package. "Don't be too obvious about it, but what do you make of that? Looks to be an American, like me. Best guess is that package is a weapon of some sort. Here in the same hotel that we've been booked into...can't be a coincidence. Think we ought to investigate?"

Marcus looks around the hotel and nods appreciatively. Turning to Badger at his question, Marcus says, "Sure, why not? Just a damned shame we can't take advantage of the bar anymore..." Marcus stands silent for a while before again feeling his new found freedom to express himself about the Clan or its motives. "While this is all fascinating, this all seems way the hell above our paygrade. Where do we come into this, Celestyn?"

"Sadly, I've not necessarily heard of this Count, unless of course he happens to be the source of the urban legend - perhaps masquerade violator - from New Orleans, Louisiana from a few years back." Seemingly able to speak freely for the first time since Tiberius embraced forty-some-odd years ago, the feeling is nearly alien to Marcus as he turns to the spectral form of Celestyn. "What exactly is it we are supposed to be going after?"

Pardon the distraction, but I am looking for a few players to join a semi-homebrewed Chicago by Night game The game originated as a V5 game, but in the interest of getting more players, I have made the decision to switch the game to V20. If you are interested, please contact me via PM. Feel free to ask Shadow about the game, as he is one of remaining players. Back to your regularly scheduled discussion thread.

"Fair enough." Marcus says, ready to begin the search for this Jasmine woman. Don't have a strong opinion one way or the other on splitting the group again or consolidating the group's efforts. Splitting the group would likely be more efficient.

Back in the Tremere Sleeper Cars "Potentially...maybe even likely. The cause of the death was certainly one of our kind, the question is was it one of us out for a snack or is there someone else on board that we didn't know about." Marcus says.

Arriving at the scene, Marcus heightens his senses, trying to eavesdrop on any conversation around the body and attempting to steal a glance or two to see what he can observe. Did one of our group get a bit zealous in their feeding? is the first thought that crosses Marcus's mind. "A murder?" Marcus asks the man incredulously. "By what means? Are you sure it isn't a matter of natural causes?" With a quick nod of his head, the professor encourages Wenzel to continue on towards the supposed victim.

Flabergasted by the mere presence of who the cowled man seemed to be, Marcus quickly drops to a knee when he notices that the Councilors have done the same. When the presence is gone, Marcus gets back to his feet. Following Celestyn's comment, Marcus quips, "Certainly not. In fact your mission seems to have be endorsed from highest levels of the pyramid. When do we leave?"

Marcus's gaze drifts to each of the others gathered as they are acknowledged by the mysterious, assumed elder. Interesting, if motley, crew we have here. Is this a heist, an exploration, or a bit of both? he thinks to himself. Marcus is about to ask a similar question when Henry asks the figure to identify himself.

The Year of Our Lord Saturday December 31, 1910 – Vienna - Austro-Hungarian Empire - The Prime Chantry The salt and pepper haired man adjusts his black fedora as he approaches the door to the Prime Chantry. The man's style of a dress is a bit outdated, but only by a decade or so, appearing to have a preference for the fashion of the days when his hair was fully black. Dressed in a dark gray frock coat, white shirt, black pants, and shoes, he is only half-way formally dressed, forgoing the traditional vest and tie. "Evening to you all." he says with a nod. "I suppose it's not mere coincidence that we are gathered here this evening. Anyone of you have any information as to what this may all be about?" Absent-mindedly tapping his forehead, he adds, "Where are my manners? I'm Dr. Marcus Townshend, although Marcus will suffice."

Prologue Marcus Townshend: "I find Doctor Critias's first-hand accounts of a great deal of the history of ancient Greece and the surrounding area fascinating...certainly more interesting than many of the written treatises on the subject, even if that telling is viewed through a certain lens." Turning the conversation back to the matter at hand, Marcus asks, "Vienna? That should prove to be interesting. Any ideas as to nature of this assignment the elder in question may have in mind? Something that my particular talents may be useful in, or is this just a matter of me being an available resource?"

Prologue Marcus Townshend: Marcus listens intently to Doctor Critias's lesson, taking to heart the lessons provided by the far older Kindred, at least until Tiberius's face supersedes upon that of the Brujah elder. "I beg your pardon, Doctor Critias, it would seem that my Sire is reaching out to me presently." "Yes, my Sire, how might I be of service to the House and Clan?"
