Morning,
Looking at making an effective caster in melee combat and have noticed there is no still spell. The closest you get is CONCEAL SPELL & STEADY SPELLCASTING, which by no means are a reliable answer... Am I missing somthing here?
Thanks,
Dave
GM SpiderBeard wrote: You are a new adventurer, hitching a ride on the caravan of one Bort Bargith, a gregarious dwarven merchant and lover of tall tales. The caravan travels from Eilidir, the capital of Isger to Almas, the capital of Andoran on a road between the Apsodell and Five Kings mountains. The next stop on the road is the town of Etran's Folly a strange little town that also goes by an ominous nickname: Plaguestone.
About Me
I've been tabletop gaming for 25 years and on these boards since 2013. I'm running a few other games including one AP into its fifth chapter. If I can promise anything as a GM, I can say I show up reliably and will see the game through short of personal catastrophe.
What I'm Looking For
Just be fun to play with. Make a cool character and roleplay them well. Prioritize the storytelling experience of the group, resolve disputes like an adult, avoid PvP and treat sensitive or upsetting game content with care. Don't hesitate to discuss rules or point out details I missed (which I do), just be decent about it.
Post regularly and let people know about absences in advance as much as you can. Regular posting makes games healthy and fun, please only apply if you can commit to that.
How to Apply
No need for a full character sheet but I'll accept them if you have them. Everything Paizo has published for second edition is legal, including Lost Omens World Guide (which I haven't read yet lol).
Characters must be heroically motivated irrespective of alignment. I am not applying any house rules or restrictions because the game is brand new and will attempt to run it as close as I can to RAW, notwithstanding modifications for the PBP format.
I want the following:
- Character pitch (Who is your character, why are they awesome, what do they do in a fight)
- Ancestry
- Background selected from the Fall of Plaguestone list of backgrounds, although I'll accept core rulebook backgrounds.
- Class...
Dotting
Is it possible to get Legendary benefits for the above areas outside of through particular classes?
I would figure from a dms perspective if a character interacted with citizens in a small small thorpe say 70ish inhabitantes after a week or so he would be able to know who the level 1 npcs are who the level 2-4 npcs are and who the level 5-7 npcs are.
Ya, thought Knowledge Local would do it, was just checking.
The title pretty much sums it up. Is there a skill or spell that will allow you to know how many HD or HPs an NPC has also is there a way to know what class levels they have? Thanks.

Page 43 Pathfinder Cronicles - Cities of Golarion top right.
Are all the Cores being shipped out in the 7th printing, and is their a plan to have an 8th printing? Hoping to get a Core with all the Errata out.
Looking for a pathfinder or 3.5 conversion of Against the Giants.
Any help would be awesome.
Pretty much what the title says, and what slot should I use? If you could show your work that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance.
Unless they are nobility in medieval society death means death. The normal rules didn't always apply to nobility.
Under skill requirements it should be 5 ranks in bluff and disguise, not 8. Should be available for entry @ lvl 6
Just like EK DD SD etc...
I am REVVING up for a new campaign I plan on starting over the Christmas holidays and was thinking of making it a low magic setting, and doing away with use magic device. Can anyone see any huge issues I might face in doing this in a moderate to low magic environment?
Any comments would help.
Why was my money for this order taken out on 8-15 and I still have not received the package? I have no problem with the package being late, what I do have a problem with is taking my money out well over 2 weeks before I ever see my product. In the future if the package is going to be shipped late, please do not take out my money until the day before it is shipped. Not a week before.
You still looking for people? I live in Richmond.
Like it, I guess a dwarf or half giant then for me :)

Thinking Wizard, or Archivest if you will allow it?
Born to a Merchant family: has spent most of his life on the Road/Sea has a great love for books alignment: Neutral, to Neutral Evil (amoral depending on view)

Thinking a grey elf, if those are present in your setting. Mother is a druid father is a wizard. Has set out on his own after some great cataclysm destroyed his family and most of his people.
Somewhat jaded and amoral he would range between Neutral to Neutral Evil depending on your point of view, not believing in good or evil and cursing the gods for allowing such tragedy at the same time.
If you approve me I will give you more. Was thinking of a wizard/Archivest mystic theurge. He would mostly buff debuff. A man of books in every sense of the word.

OK so yes in 3.5 no in pathfinder. different slots and all, unlike chain shirt and a breastplate. same slot. Thanks guys.
OK I need to know the answer for Pathfinder and 3.5 if you dont mind.
Ex1: (+10 overall) +5 Breast Plate with +5 in armor abilities & (+10 overall) +1 Bracers with +9 in armor abilities.
I know the +1 and +5 AC bonus overlap, but what about the armor abilities?
Both in:

I have also come to the conclusion that INSTANTANIOUS spells will not work either.
But, Acid Arrow would, as it is not casting time Instantanious.

It says this.
"An antimagic field suppresses any spell or magical effect used within, brought into, or cast into the area, but does not dispel it. Time spent within an antimagic field counts against the suppressed spell's duration."
- Says right there you can cast within it, it just suppreses it.
What are you baseing that on?
Thank you very much for your post. Could u direct me to where you learned this other than useing Anti magic field. As it does not state you can not use magic in it just that it will be suppresed until you leave it. Thanks in advance.
After looking through and reading things on Anti magic field, I would agree that
1. will work as it does not say you can not cast spells in an anti-magic field. It just states that spells EFFECTS will not function within its confines.
2. definately wont work.
So If I throw a spell outside of it, it should be fine.
