Paizo is great for these additional tidbits!

More Please! :D

Liberty's Edge

So with the few "Quirks" of the revised PDF, will there be a version 3.0 of this PDF that has been corrected?

Aside from that... the new classes are looking great!
Keep up the great work all.

Liberty's Edge

As mentioned above, by far the best release of 2009 was the new Corebook & Bestiary!
More Please!

Liberty's Edge

Happy 2010 from Ontario, Canada!
Keep those dice rolling!

Liberty's Edge

I am looking forward to this one, having run the "Darkmoon Vale" series of modules for my group! This will no doubt aid in expanding on the region for my players... once their characters make it back there!

Liberty's Edge

Excellent!

Liberty's Edge

I take it then that all the adventure paths are set to medium?!

Liberty's Edge

So no doubt this has been covered elsewhere but I just need a reminder! Which XP xhart is this AP set to? Slow, Medium, or fast?
I know... I know... I should know this by now LOL

Thanx to those whom reply!

These flame war threads about the arrival or lack thereof of the core rulebook, while understandable, are getting old. CHILL OUT.

Nicely said Mr Frost! ;)

Liberty's Edge

K I just got the email about it and all I can say is WOW!
With just under 2 weeks left and to be sold out of the 1st print run already is absolutely incredible!

I recomend that the entire staff of Paizo head on out tonight and celebrate. Well done to you all! You all must be very proud!

This is very VERY cool!
Nicely Done!
Now I have a lot of reading to do! ;)

Liberty's Edge

My gamerz & I are anticipating this with high hopes! Our beta game is going very well and it'll be nice to finally get the new core rules on to our characters and into our adventures!
Personally I can't wait for this one.... NOW PLEASE :P

Heh heh... I knew you would be all over this one! :D

Liberty's Edge

I'll take one (probably 2) please!
Man my credit card is gonna hate me these next few months with all these goodies coming out! :P

Liberty's Edge

This looks very interesting!

Liberty's Edge

Excellent!
Now I can't wait to have it!
Spoilers Please :P

Liberty's Edge

Well I'm all for additional supplements beyonds the upcoming core book and bestiary, but only as long as the market isn't flooded with them. We've all seen and learned what happens in the past when this happens!
Quality over Quantity is definately the way to go, and Paizo and it's Pathfinder line have definately been that of quality! As long as this path continues then we're all good to go.

Just my two GP ;)

Wise man once say: Patience is a virtue!

Liberty's Edge

A full adventure path would be awesome if set in the land of the linnorm kings! My GM is currently running his own spin on the far north of golarion and we're all liking the area nicely!
If the Lords of Paizo are listening... Bring on the Linnorm AP!

Keep those dice rolling!

Liberty's Edge

SO SAY WE ALL!

Keep up the Grade A Gaming Awesomeness!

Liberty's Edge

I hate to do this, but if first you don't succeed...
"BUMP"

Liberty's Edge

Sounds cool!
I have yet to run Carnival of Tears, though look forward to doing so. I plan to use it to wrap up several things that have transpired between my gamerz and the NPC's of the hollow! Plus... a freaky carnival adventure is always fun :P The tensions between the PC's and NPC's like Kreed, Teedum, and even the Red Roc Guild are reaching a boiling point! It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
Let me know how Carnival of Tears works out for your group!

Liberty's Edge

Im with ya, though not having Seoni around will make alot of gamerz less distracted (LOL) but we need her, especially with the upcoming epic adventures the Darklords of Paizo have cooking up in their seattle stronghold!
Come on all, lets get her back!

Liberty's Edge

That would be cool to see, but it's probably still a bit early for anything Epic just yet! But like yourself & so many others, I do look forward to when they do arrive!

Liberty's Edge

So how many out there in the Georgian Triangle area of Ontario Canada are playing Pathfinder and are looking to gather for regular game sessions!

I'm looking to get another group up and running!

Liberty's Edge

Funny how that work's! ;)

Liberty's Edge

My current character:
Cyrino Ezmirr
Male-Human, Wizard:5/Pathfinder Chronicler:1
Hails from Absalom, and is currently questing in the Land of the Linnorm Kings with his adventuring companions Kelbin & Alianarn on a diplomatic/trade mission for Andoran!

Has also run into Grimsh (above posting) in the past, but has yet to encounter him once again!

Liberty's Edge

After that, I would think Falcon's Hollow is due for a little down time in regards to the wave after wave of evil coming upon them!
But then again Thuldrin Kreed's time is due... hmmm, idea! ;)

Liberty's Edge

No second part huh!?! Well that will make things very interesting for your future adventures around Falcons Hollow! With Merlokrep still kicking (again), that makes Darkmoon Wood a much darker place indeed! Who know's, you could always tie him in to the next module in the series: Hungry are the Dead! Now that was a fun module! ;)

Just wanted to bump this back up.

I'm running this in a months time or something in my ongoing Falcon's Hollow-campaign. Have anybody run this? Any things to be wary of? And how many regulators did you use? The PCs have really been a thorn in the side of Kreed since day one, and he's really looking forward to offing them.

Werecorpse wrote:

thoughts anyone?
Mr Logue?

I ran this one a few months ago and my group was able to complete it in 3 sessions (each session 5-6 hours each). I had Kreed pretty much force 'Pay-Day' Teedum upon the party for this adventure (as an insurance policy) and once they were on their way to the cutyard, they were surprised to see that Teedum had brought 3 Regulars with him! Both Teedum and his regulars had the Beta rules tweak done upon them!

For part one of the module - Depnaakra was re-stated with the new rules, but the rest of critters and encounters I left as is! The Azlanti Chariot Beetle is lots of fun and can cause a world of hurt upon the party! I actually lost a party member to it if I recall correctly!

In part two of the module, as the party made their way into the Cold Marrow - I had re-stated Merlokrep to the beta rules (as I had done for the previous adventure CotKK) and also included two new minions to join him, which happened to be newly risen dread zombie versions (also tweaked to the beta rules) of the two party members who had fallen in the events of Crown of the Kobold King! This added for a more grand finally to the leacy of Merlokrep! The rest of the critters and encounters I left as is.

My group also took on Teedum and his regulars at the end of part one of the module, In the cutyard - after the battle with the Azlanti Beetle surprisingly! Let me know where your players tussle with Teedum! He still lives in my game, though has considerable loathing for the PC's!

I await your update!

Liberty's Edge

DM_Blake... I Thank you for this!

In another recent thread among the playtest reports, Wraith had made a reference to this!

Wraith wrote:
I also used the ‘Improved Standard Attack’ Action proposed in playtest by Jason Bulmahn (allowing a second, iterative attack with manufactured weapons for creatures with a BaB +11 or more during a Standard Attack Action)

I seek a little more info on this, for this has peeked my interest somewhat! Thanx in advance to any who take the time with this!

Liberty's Edge

I was just looking for it too when I came across this thread!
Good to know it'll be up shortly!
Now... where is it going to be posted so I can scoop it up?

Liberty's Edge

Hahahahaha!
These are all too good!
More please! :P

Liberty's Edge

My group has also been using the CMB 15 rule since we started with pathfinder! We've seen no problems with it so far, though it hasn't been used alot - but when it has, its been around the 60/40 success rate!

More issues:

1. The Stealth skill is being calculated off of Charisma rather than Dexterity.

2. You can't add a Misc. Modifier to Stealth without that same modifier being added to Use Magic Device.

Thanks for your work on this. You keep fixing it and I'll keep Beta testing it.

Actually it's not me who's fixing it. I made the sheet, but this other guy (Matt Marovich) makes the calculations. Anyway, here's the corrected sheet:

PFRPG sheet with fixes

This character sheet rocks!

Excellent Work!

Liberty's Edge

Here is my 2GP on the matter on books I'd like to see in the future of the Pathfinder RPG:

- Additional Bestiary's - once every 18 months!
- A re-tweaked and fully functional Epic Level Guidebook - for those of us who just have to keep going :P
- A redo of the ol' Arms & Equipment from back in the day! :D
- A class specific guide book to enhance each of the core classes - though not as much fluff and prestige classes as the complete series of 3.5 (this could almost be similar to the pathfinder companions in size and content!)
- One book a year along the lines of Tome of Magic, Heroes of Horror, etc!

Whichever way it goes, I know it'll be good!
Keep those dice rolling all!

Liberty's Edge

The current party at my table are as follows!

Rottingham "Rotter" - Half-Orc, Cleric 2(of Pharasma)/Rogue 2 - Seeks the ancient order of the Raven.
Dracit Egon Trailblazer - Halfling, Rogue 4 - Always the opportunist!
Grimsh... - Gnome, Bard 1/Transmuter 5 - Soon to be a Pathfinder.
Canaga - Half-Orc, Dragon Blooded Sorcerer 6 - Seeks to awaken the Dragon within!

Currently in Falcon's Hollow during the opening events of the "Hungry are the Dead" Module. They are well liked by the townsfolk, though they are constanty at odds with Thuldrin Kreed, 'Payday" Teedum, and the Lumber Consortium within the Hollow!

When I get to play:
Cyrino Ezmirr - Human, Evoker 4 - The seeker of ancient mysteries!

Cyrino is also within Falcon's Hollow, revising his current adventuring notes which are to be published once he heads back south to Almas! At which time he'll also pop by the Pathfinder Lodge located there to state his intentions of joining the society!

Liberty's Edge

Just a few of my trustworthys include:
- Magic Missile
- Mage Armor
- Alter Self
- Knock
- Spider Climb
- Scorching Ray
- Dispel Magic
- Haste
- Fly
- Remove Curse
- Invisibility (Greater)
- Teleport
- Wall of Force
- True Seeing
- Move Earth
- Contingency
- Limited Wish
- Delayed Blast Fireball
- Summon Monster (Any)
- Polar Ray
- Gate

No doubt I have more, but that means actually breaking out my character for his full spellbook stats!, but thats for another game!

Liberty's Edge

Being that Wizard is my class of choice... I Vote for the switch to incorporate this into the Class section of the PRPG Handbook. This will keep all the info nicely in one place for our various characters plus cut down the time to level up a good notch as well ;)

Selective Channeling, IMO, should be built-in, and, like channeling itself, start at 3+Cha mod for people you can exclude, so that even a 1st level Cleric with a Cha of 10 can function in the 'standard' four-person adventuring group right out of the box.

This I totally agree with.

I'll second this!

Also, to add my 2gp...
When the cleric uses her channel energy its a Standard Action (as normal).
If she wishes to be 'Selective', this would make it a Full-round Action!
This would work well I think!

Thanx for the additional Feats - several look very VERY promising!
I'll let cha know how the test for some of em turn out (In the Skills & Feats Forum)!

How bout a trip to the Ruins of Azlant?!
What could a group of adventurers find when poking through the ruins of the ancients? ...hmmm I wonder!

Also... I'll second the notion of a Planar Quest! Plane hoping has always been one of my favorites!

Liberty's Edge

WOW, reading this thread definitely brought a smile to my face. Its great to see that there are still those of us out there willing to rally together to help another out! This is awesome!

I think that this definitely works, though I am adverse to paying both spell-slots and feats. For instance, the Eldritch Fire could be bought with a feat and slots expended when you actually use the fire, rather than to simply to "learn" the ability (the function of the feat, surely).

Very very cool.

I'll second the idea of buying the feat, then expending spell slots to power up the Eldritch Fire! Tons of potential!

Liberty's Edge

I do believe your on to something here. Tweaking their powers into feats would be awesome. Being a fan of the archmage, it would be most unfortunate if it were to be gone for good! Though I do recall our boys at Paizo saying that these 2 prestige classes may show up in a future release!
For now however, this idea of Archmagic Feats is a welcome step towards keeping them alive!
Excellent! 1000 XP

Interesting thoughts everyone. Instead of killing the extra spells for universalists, I think I am more interested in weakening their other powers a bit to keep them in line for their ultimate flexibility.

Thoughts?

Jason Bulmahn

For the Unviversalist...

Instead of extra spells per day, how bout extra spells known. Being a universalist, they would study a great many things so having extra spells in ones spell book would make sense for the universalist instead of having extra spells per day. A slight weakening of their powers is a good idea.

As for those lovely specialists...
Give them a +1 caster level on their chosen spells, a +1 to the DC of these magics and a +2 on spellcraft checks regarding their chosen school (to learn/identify/etc.).
Also, after all these years, I do think its time for the specialist to now only have one prohibited school. I believe someone above referred to it as a school of opposition!
(In second edition I remember seeing a chart for this)
Of coarse with this option, that prohibited school should be completely cut off to the specialist.

or...

Now if the current choice of having 2 prohibited schools remains, then again I'll agree (as I know this has been mentioned before...) that those prohibited spells (if chosen) should be at -2 caster level, to show the sacrifice made in order to specialize.

Being one whose chosen class is Wizards, these are my 2 platinum pieces on the matter!

Keep up the excellent work!
