Yes that's quite adequate.
Signy Birkirsdottir wrote: I used to be a teacher, but it was college and by then the students were beyond Dr. Seuss. Well, most of them. You are NEVER beyond Dr. Seuss. Well I mean, unless you are dead maybe? Seuss Quotes:
Adults are obsolete children and the hell with them.
Be who you are and say what you feel for those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Why fit in when you were born to stand out? Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world. You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. Remember me and smile, for it’s better to forget than to remember me and cry. People are weird. When we find someone with weirdness that is compatible with ours, we team up and call it love. There may come a day when I have lost all the rest of my sense, but if I ever say that I am too old for Dr. Seuss then bury me for I am well and truly dead. EDIT: Also "Oh the Places You'll Go" is my default graduation gift.
@Rackal28 I agree that banditry is not particularly good, but those actions were a means to an end rather than a raison d'etre. He wants to and strives to be good, but like us all we fail. I can make him CN for now if you prefer, and it might even make more sense for the character. He was originally NG but I shifted him CG because of the chaotic actions.
1. What is a short-term goal of your character? Find belonging and usefulness. 2. What is a long-term goal of your character? Establish the faith of Ketephys in the new kingdom. This Johnny-come-lately Erastil needs to learn he is not the only deity of the bow. 3. If your character was given the opportunity to found their own kingdom what would be their motivation to do so? Most of the previous items. Founding a kingdom as a haven for the disenfranchised like himself, and also to promote the worship of Ketephys.
Male Half-Elf Ranger
Lethyr watches the goings-on with detached interest. He sees the scolding, the departure, and notes the sickly man at the other table. "My thanks for your hospitality, Noria." He leaves a few coins on the table once he is finished, a few coppers of course, he wasn't rolling in the sort of money to be leaving behind silver or gold. He walks over to the table with the sickly individual before he leaves, and inquires if he is well. A palm is placed on the man's back, and from the ring warm energy will suffuse through the other's body. Activating Healing hex.
At the same time, Lethyr evaluates the other's health, using the hand on the back as a test of heartbeat and lungs. Heal Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Male Half-Elf Ranger
Int: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Lethyr smiles. "Pondering the past, portents, and perils. I sometimes lose myself to auguries. The future was occurring at the same time as the present, and I had my attention on the wrong one it seemed. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Noria. I am Lethyr, and I shall invite you to share a drink at my expense then if this one is at yours. Provided your husband does not mind or think me forward, of course." His eyes take in the words on the flyer, and he smiles, a carnival was a fabulous time, and the word Umbra seemed to suggest a manner of intrigue and mystique. He could perhaps even ply his alternate trade there, should the occasion arise. "And as you do, you could tell me about the visitor, the carnival man? Is that something that has been here before?"
Spoiler:
For fluff, I want to see all of these things in your character's backgrounds:
-Their background (Duh)
-What their motivations and goals are
-Their personality
-At least some plot hooks of some kind from their past. You've got freedom with it, but gimme something to hook my mouth on like a big, talky bass who you can reel up out of the water and get sweet content out of
-As mentioned, your traits, but in background form
Extra: Gestalt is a lot of stuff and first level isn't really where builds always shine through. So tell me what you're building toward and what you want to do. Not in depth, not a tactical rundown of your action flowchart, just a sense of how you'll play down the line. I will start working soon, on my Elven Ketephys worhshipping Cold Iron Warden Inquisitor / Divine Marksman Ranger. He has literally spent his entire life preparing for this.
I shall be rolling up a character, and I plan to let fate decide some things for me.
Dice:
Roll 1: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11 Roll 2: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10 Roll 3: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10 Roll 4: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17 Roll 5: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14 Roll 6: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18 Which I will be taking in order. Now for the hitch, I found some random class/race tables, and assuming that the rolls fall within allowable classes, I will be those. (I will reroll if it clashes straight up with one of the two existing people or is disallowed) Class: 1d100 ⇒ 87- Sorcerer. Works, what with us having an Oracle too. Spontaneous all the casting! I may alternately go Hybrid and be an Arcanist... they weren't on the list.
More to follow shortly. |
