You're lying, the kids not mine!

Atlas, this is your fault. Take responsibility!

Grand Lodge

Ha ha ha!!! I was just kidding... you’re not pregnant. I wouldn’t do that to you... yet!

Grand Lodge

Katarina, could you please place an * next to any skills for which you took a rank in.

The skills are done. Katarina has 6 skillpoints. 2 from Cleric, 3 from Int and 1 from the Fast learner feat. Which also gives her +1 to her HP.

Found a better picture for her avatar. She knows she's going into the wilds and so is dressed sensibly. :)

Thanks for GMing!! ;-)

Where did you get Ilsurian Archer? You have a feat that you don’t meet prerequisites for, and you list unapproved sources (weapon masters guidebook)

Ah, you're correct, that archetype (which grants the feat sans prereqs) is from an unapproved source. Alas. I do just so hate ranger spellcasting as it's so very lackluster.

There are lots of other options available to you for an effective archer, personally, I love an Alchemist. Especially if you can get your hands on a gravity bow and explosive missile.

There's always picking just the self-buff Ranger spells.

The Ilsurian Archer is a personal favorite, though.

I know and understand the saving throw and skill penalties, but, you honestly can't beat a straight fighter archer. Don't bother with the archetype. Just keep adding feat after feat after feat dedicated to archery. Maybe buy a couple of wands for spell buffs by friends.

Trust me. If there's a reason why you need to put the bow aside for a moment, you will be better able to do so than basically any other dedicated archery build. Plus, who else can use the armor training (and advanced armor training) to move as quickly in Mithral Full Plate, or maintain as much dexterity to armor class while doing so? People tend to undervalue a simple, straight fighter, because they aren't as flashy as all the newer things. They aren't meant to out-damage a barabarian, but they are meant to both be more versatile and, potentially, also out-specialize them.

Are weapon proficiencies for weapons outside the sourcebooks allowed? Was hoping to take the exotic weapon proficiency: fauchard for my reach wizard but it's seemingly in a non-listed book. If not, it's no biggy. I'll instead pick the Lucerne Hammer which is.

No, you guys are already way overpowered just with the stat scores you rolled, and materials that I have allowed already. Remember, when this campaign came out, a lot of what Pathfinders has published wasn’t even out yet. I don’t want anything more introduced that could potentially way overpower you.

I have an Aldori Swordlord designed for the role of Ruler or similar. I have most of a background put together, but not much in mechanics yet. If the GM and my colleagues already on the party feel it could work, then I'll mature the concept to post! Especially because I like the balanced rolls I made here.

All right, thanks!

Wanted to drop a note that the paizo site seems to be lagging a lot when creating an alias. The pictures do not seem to load. But I should still be done shortly.

Right, Trevor here, finally got through the site! Atlas is virtually complete, only need to figure out on which spell scrolls to spend his remaining gold. But I'll leave that for later and discuss it with the others.

I'm fairly sure everything here is from the base books. It's a deliberate far less than optimal build due to the insane stats, but it should be funny and hopefully much more entertaining than a pure caster wizard :)

Please note that I did a 20 point buy currently as I rolled very well and it felt too much. But I’m deciding on final stats.

Female N Elf

--------------------

Personality:

Shen is a strong woman that hides her insecurity through an arrogant and aloof attitude. Although she is not a follower of Calistria, Shen’s personality is partially shaped by her two mothers that were Calistrian clerics. Shen wants nothing more and nothing less than the freedom to live as she pleases without bothering her environment. She is against the way of the wicked, but does not necessarily distaste amoral behavior as long as nobody is hurt. Most importantly, she values the individual’s right to satisfaction, in whatever form that takes. She accepts that one’s actions have consequences, and knows that life is not fair, nor is it good or evil. It simply is, and she is determined to seize every moment together with companions and if her insecurity is overcome she would also like to to give others the opportunity to experience the fruits that life has to offer.

--------------------

Background:

Shen had a rough start in life. Found decades ago before the rise of house Thrune on the steps of the temple of Calistria, wrapped in blankets, with no name or note of any kind but a golden mark resembling the holy symbol of the Savored Sting on her arm, her life could have ended right there.

But two Calistrian priests, a River Kingdomsn spy and a Korvosan prostitute, Sharon and Kollina, had received a repeating vision that showed two elves in an immoral union and a strange golden mark on their arms that were identical to the mark on the child in front of their steps.

Irritated but obliged to follow this mystical sign the two women cared for the kid in an environment not typical for a child. They named her Shen and although the life of Sharon and Kollina was centered mainly on themselves and pleasure came before duty they raised her in the faith of Calistria.

Though Shen was not the only child in the temple, her innocence and initial lack of social aptitude led to a harsh life in a house where seduction, vengeance and erratic behavior were the norm. Although she also saw the good that could potentially result from the faith, she also saw the evil that hwas committed in her name.

A child is framed by the environment that she lives in but Shen was never comfortable with the full aspect Calistria’s portfolio, and it was clear after a while that although she was devoted to her two mothers, Shen was not willing to accept Calistria as her goddess.

The rise of house Thrune and the attack on the Calistrian faith throughout Cheliax led to a disaster that Shen could not have imagined. In a single night the majority of Calistrian clerics in Kintargo were either killed, imprisoned or pushed into hiding. Although Shen was already an adolescent at that time it was nonetheless a shock for her when Sharon proclaimed him independent and left her on her own to leave Cheliax.

Shen ’s survival was not a certainty but she was successful to follow her teachings and made a path through Cheliax that led her to a far corner where her Chelish roots would hold but resistance versus house Thrune was also visible: River Kingdoms!

There’s two more submissions. This puts us at 5. Go ahead and move to the discussion board with your characters.

Archlich, I still have room for one more and no one has requested ruler yet. A swordlord in charge of the new nation might ply out perfectly due to them funding the expedition. Think of yourself as their security that their money is being well spent. I won’t hold the spot though since you didn’t request it, which means there’s still room for someone to take your spot.

I hope I haven’t missed anyone and I look forward to starting this game!

I'd like to request the spot to be held! However, the Aldori archetypes aren't from the sources you mentioned, so I wanted to double check your thoughts. I'll have her up soon!

4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 2) = 12 - 1d6 ⇒ 6 - 15
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 4) = 14 - 11
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 3) = 12 - 1d6 ⇒ 3 - 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 6) = 17 - 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 3) = 17 - 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 3) = 12 - 1d6 ⇒ 6 - 14

My opinion is that the Aldori material is generally weaker than a core Fighter. In case that helps with DM Dfsearles thought process.

Might or might not.

Shen: USE THE STATS YOU ROLLED. Being the weakest character in the group is my schtick! <grin>

Looks like there is still a gap that someone with trapfinding could fill.

Katarina is many things, but the only way she disarms traps is by walking into them. :)

2 wizards and a bard? Interesting.
1 Cleric
1 Barbarian

No true rogue.

Not sure beating things up is going to be our first choice!

Archlich here with my Aldori :) Assuming it's okay to use the Aldori fighter archetype, even if not from the cited sources (considering it's Kingmaker...)

What’s the source material?

I’d rather you stick to source material, obviously I don’t know it all, but if it isn’t a major source (like advanced class) then I’ll consider it.

As for it nerfing a fighter, I wouldn’t mind that one bit.

I'll open up Inner Sea Premier with the following for the swordlord:

Re v oY: aldoRIswoRdloRd The Aldori swordlords of Brevoy are among the deadliest and most feared fighters of the Inner Sea. They have spent long years mastering the Aldori dueling sword, against both other dueling swords and all manner of other weaponry. Their speed and reflexes weave a net of impenetrable steel around them, from which they strike and harry their unfortunate opponents. This variant focuses on avoiding damage and disarming foes; swordlords prefer wearing light or no armor, trusting their skill with their blades for protection. The following benefits only apply when a swordlord is using an Aldori dueling sword and carrying nothing in his other hand.

Defensive Parry (Ex): At 3rd level, when an Aldori swordlord makes a full attack with an Aldori dueling sword, he gains a +1 bonus to AC against melee attacks until the beginning of his next turn. This bonus increases by +1 every four levels after 3rd. This ability replaces armor training 1 and 4.Disarming Strike (Ex): At 5th level, when an Aldori swordlord successfully disarms an opponent using an Aldori dueling sword, the swordlord also deals normal damage to the target, but without the normal Strength bonus to damage. This ability replaces weapon training 1.Steel Net (Ex): At 7th level, an Aldori swordlord can throw up a blazing wall of steel to defend himself. When fighting defensively as a full-round action with an Aldori dueling sword, the swordlord’s penalties on all attacks in a round are reduced by 2, and the dodge bonus to AC is increased by 2 for the same round. This ability replaces armor training 2.Counterattack (Ex):At 11th level, an Aldori swordlord can make an attack of opportunity as an immediate action against an opponent who hits the swordlord with a melee attack, so long as the attacking creature is within the swordlord’s reach. This ability replaces armor training 3.

Pardon formating, I just copied and pasted.

Grand Lodge

Since the archtype doesn't adjust anything for your character until 3rd level, there is nothing to adjust, just be mindful of the differences between the two books and follow the Inner Sea Premier version.

Without further ado, and a completed six man party. RECRUITMENT IS CLOSED!!!

If anyone else would like to submit a character, feel free in the event someone drops out.
