So I'm having a rough patch. Just had one of my personal cats unexpectedly pass away due to neurological issues. He was not yet a year old. It was a swift onset, from Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon when I put him to sleep. He was one of my favorites, and it has left me in an odd head space where I just need a couple of days. Please bot me if needed.
Lensar looks to the pup and takes off his glasses, rubbing the age marks around his eye. "Some of us do have the abilities to keep identities somewhat hidden. The thing about searching us out will be that they will need something to go on. Without that...well, let us just say that things would be a bit like the metaphor of a needle in a haystack." The elf motions to the group. "I am the last of my family in this city. The rest either fled Chelaxian territory or are dead. If we are to do this, we must understand that our families will be relying on us to save them. Not from a temporary danger of being targeted but of a more permanent variety, under Chelaxian rule."
Nobility: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 The confusion resulting from combat still dulling his mind, Lensar doesn't recognize the face. Instead, he grabs a few bits of fruit & crouched on a chair, mindfully crunching through the skin of one apple, shifting his weight slightly from one feet to another which gives him a slight sway to his appearance. "We have found ourselves in an odd situation, for sure..."
"I wondered what was going on with so many off the book special orders..." the elf pushes the glasses back up his nose. "We will have to do what the Rose did before us. We cannot let this sort of thing happen in our country. This may be part of Chelish controlled territory, but we will not bow down and insult our history. Milani's time has come." Lensar nods and goes silent again.
Setting his weapon down beside him, the elf just shakes his head. Speaking quietly, he looks the individual over and shakes his head. He places his hand on the person on the ground. As his hand glows with a soft red light, so does a small rose necklace. Stabilize on the guy. If need be, Cure Light and heal check.
The elf rushes one of the thugs, as well. This attempt is with the basket guard of his weapon. Non Lethal: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 4 = 19
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Although it is obvious that the elf is not so used to combat, he does make up for it with fierce accuracy.
"Sane and aware of the risks...I'm Lensar. And no, we can't pursue a rebellion by ourselves, but every rebellion requires the right minds to get things working. You saw the crowds out there. There is the desire. It is just about building the ground work. If only the Rose of Kintargo were still to be found..."
Pushing off from the alley wall, he clears his throat. "I don't think that went according to anyone's plan. But we are alive, and we now know that those in power are willing to continue in the path that they have, for so long." Pushing his glasses back up his nose, he clears his throat again, this time more due to the smell and less of getting attention. "And whether we intended to or not, we've put ourselves squarely against the 'authorities,' as it were right now."
Seeing that death is allowable in their actions, Lensar shakes his head and points his blade at the "militia" getting secondary attention from Talon and maneuvers himself around to aid his new blood brother. "I'm afraid you're now in the wrong, and we will show you what happens to those in the wrong!" Activate Judgment (Destruction) Flanking Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 2 = 13
His rapier stabs outwards, although with much less than intended accuracy.
I see him going finesse. There'll be a 3 level dip into chameleon rogue, so he'll be going for things that boost him into a good position for precision like damage. I'll also boost up his ability to use Bane, which will shore that up a bit. Out of combat, he's going for Breadth of Experience and being the sneaky, behind the scenes sort. Lots of knowledge & skills.
Seeing a familiar face in the crowded area, he takes one of the empty seats, clearing his throat. "Good to see you again, Canacha." The thinly built elf pushes the pair of spectacles back up the bridge of his nose, fingers smudged with printing ink.
Perception for Contact: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Although he likely seems distracted, a practiced eye is very aware that Lensar is not an idiot and seems to be highly aware of his surroundings. Hearing one of the voices calling for supporting of Chelish efforts. Turning his head swiftly, he looks at the youth, who could barely be age to serve in a militia, let alone understand what he was saying. "Ah yes, support the efforts now, and next thing you know, they'll be taking your mother and sister off for summoning materials. You've not the age on you needed to be making such opinions known, for another two decades I imagine." Pointing to an older scarred human male standing amongst other "elders," he motions the boy with a flick of his hand. "I'm sure he has plenty of stories to show you what really lies behind such childish idealism."
Ok, so I finally have all but gear and skills copied into my profile. I'm going to post in the next hour. I'll likely be doing a 3 level dip into rogue (chameleon). This will really link his Bluff and Stealth skills together. I'm going to put off Breadth of Experience to Lv 3, which will really work out well for this guy. I see him being the type to really use Stealth & Bluff to his advantage. Also, the Ears of the City spell will let him be able to do some very fun recon work. Out of curiosity, I'm assuming religion specific spells (like Blessings of the Watch) would be right out for followers of other religions?
Morningstar is the favored weapon. I'm thinking I may go the route of rapier. I've realized I can overcome the problems of BAB with the judgment ability. So Piranha Strike could be very appropriate, and with Weapon Versatility, I can get almost any weapon damage type. I just have to decide on whether to go with a combat feat like Weapon Finesse or Breadth. Thoughts?
