Leila distracts herself momentarily, hopefully not fatally, from her goblin husbandry duties to take a closer look at the rock. "Hmm. There really aren't supposed to be much stuff in drift-space right? Maybe that's why it is so pristine! And that cut could be from a partial gating maybe? Brr that sounds nasty! Anyhow! The rock had some serious interference last time we looked but it can't hurt to check again right..." Comp: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 plus ship comp, can't recall atm

Number of Berries: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 "Hmm..." The halfling looks up at the tall warrior, contemplating his suggestion. While she does look tempted If only because it looks fun! she finally shakes her head. "Thanks! But I'll pass - this time - if only because it will be harder to go unnoticed." She smiles and retrieves a berry from her pouch, similar to those Blask enchanted the previous evening. Quick learner, this one. After eating one, she looks much better and once again full of energy. "There - all better!" Turning her attention back to the smoke in the distance her voice loses the playful tune. "How do we go about this then ?"

Hmm... @Blask - seeing as you are the Goodberry guy, a single berry heals one damage which should be enough to remove the non-lethal damage (1p) from anyone that fails :) If you want, I can prepare it, but I wouldn't want to steal your thunder

Free for grabs health rolls for the first day! (Should we fight this day, Leila will have to resort to ranged attacks) Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 "Wehw! How big is this forest anyhow?" Leila chirps as she bounces along the path.

Do we know IC that we have two days? If so, Leila could prepare Cures in all three of her slots! And if someone (Blask?) has a good Heal skill modifier, Leila can try and Aid Another for a +4 bonus - to make it perhaps a tiny bit more efficient

"It brings you good luck!" the halfling smiles. "You carry it to attract good luck spirits." She steps back and tilts her head to the side, her eyes wandering between the feather and the sizeable warrior. With a thoughtful expression she adds "You might need an even bigger charm since you are so big or -" *musical laughter* "- this might be more then necessary since you are so tall!"

"Maybe all you need is a good-luck charm!" the halfling laughs, smiling. She retrieves a piece of string and a pair of feathers from her backpack, and scrutinizes the later for a moment. With a quick nod to herself she picks the larger one, a ruffled grey feather and ties it to the string and holds up for the half-orc to take. "There! Perhaps it will tip the scales!" Note, Leila's charm is mostly superstition - it doesn't actually do much. Yet ... :D

"Hold still just a moment!" The tiny halfling and her spotty fox dashes over to the imposing orc. Leila retrieves her pouch filled with various odds and ends - spell components - and sings a quick incantation. Her hand glows faintly blue and she touches one of the half-orcs many wounds and it starts to close. 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 "There! At-least a little bit better!" she chirps.

@Blask, GM, Fuhr - The low number of spells is a little nusiance we'll have to deal with I think. But on that topic - how have you handled/plan to handle things like Craft Wand or Scribe Scroll ? They could extend our magical endurance a bit... : ) But numberless wands of X could also take the 'magic' out of magic I suppose. What are your thoughts on staves? They are one way (in the future!) to diversify ones magic AND get some more stamina! Perhaps lesser staves with only 5 or 3 charges ?

The halfling sweeps her sling-staff towards the lizard, but she is seemingly more interested in keeping it at distance then inflicting real harm. Her position shifts slightly, as to let either Fuhr or Kraull step up and flank the critter. To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 "Away with you!"

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Leila skips and bounces along the path after her taller companions. While she usually preferred to be up front, she recognized that it was probably better to let the warriors take that role in such hostile land. Nevertheless, she felt surprisingly focused and kept her eyes darting along the surrounding forest. Dazzle, the curious silver spotted arctic fox kept a steady pace with her.

Seeing the others discuss the fate of the dead snake, Leila instead admires its skin. It had such a beautiful pattern! Imagine what wonders one could trade that one for - imagine what marvels it could be! Blinking, she snapped out of her short daydream as Maqli started to work. She didn't know much about skinning (or milking poison for that matter), but she did know craftsmen often appreciated a pair of helpful steady hands. Survival, Aid Another: DC 10: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 "Here - let me hold that for you!" +4 on the survival check to skin it (the Halfling raical trait Helpful boosts aid another from +2 to +4)

Leila emerges from the undergrowth with a small burst of leaves as Fuhr calls her name, with Dazzle the fox right behind her. She curiously glances at the dead creature then shoots a sunny smile at the gathered party. People - yey! she tought. "You're going to the big market? I *love* to visit the market!" The halfling bounces with energy for a while before realizing the half-orc said more things. She slows a bit and gives the man and the girl a worried look. She continues in a slower tone. "No, my tribe is far from here..." *sigh* "... but we could probably help!" The more the merrier! she thought, her mood quickly shifting back to the normal jovial state.

A few moments earlier. A sudden sound made Leila look up from the piece of wood she had leisurely started to carve during their short pause. First she glanced at Dazzle, her constant companion. The fox sat up in rapt attention, ears and nose pointed into the forest showing that he too had heard it. Then she shot a smile at her more recent, alot taller, companion. "Come Fuhr! Maybe it is some hobgoblins for you to kill." With the hushed whisper, she sat up and stealthily started moving towards the mysterious sound with Dazzle at her side. And maybe it is real people! she thought, exited by the prospect. There. We're moving : )

Hello! I'll one of the new recruits and I'll be joining with you guys shortly. Hopefully we'll have a bunch of fun : ) Leila is an expert/adept and she is good at sneaking around, and got a decent tab on social skills. She does lack Blasks all-compassing knowledge or the deadly strikes of Kraull and Maqli, which she tries to make up for with guile.
There! Finally got some paragraphs of backstory and description done. Feel free to review and comment if you want : ) Is there anything more to be done, or shall I head over to the discussion thread (provided she is approved, of course!)? ps - Will there perhaps be a way in game or out of game to expand the list of spells available - and do you take suggestions? Was thinking along the lines of Magic Stone and Beast Shape, for example .. :)
Another update - and another round of questions ^^ The crunchy parts are nearly done, then I'll only need to get the description and a piece of prehistoric backstory down. Question5 (I'll count the edited one on the previous post as 4!): What gear should Leila start with? Will she have a few tonics/potions - perhaps less since she is a multi class. Question6: How do you handle hitpoints? I just took rounded average each level (1d6 -> 3.5 -> 4). Is that okay or do you run differently : )? Question7: I have a trait that lets me cast Light a few times a day - according to paizo that would let me qualify for 'casting Arcane spells'. I was thinking of having the Arcane Strike feat and then picking up Riving Strike later. While Leila can't take advantage of it for a long time (need quickened spells first :P) it offers some support for Blask. Is this okay (since I know the arcane/divine SLA faq can be a debated point)? Note: I was also planning on picking up Battle Cry later for some martial buffs. So I really think I'll manage to turn Leila into a really helpful little halfling : )
Hello : ) I made an alias, and as you can see, some progress as well : ) Question1: I picked up the trait Two World Magic - which lets me add a cantrip from a different spell list to my own. I picked Prestidigitation. I hope this little spell-list shenanigan is ok :) Question2: Is written language developed yet (runes?)? Or perhaps just pictograms? Can one put points in the 'Linguistics' skill to learn more languages? Question3: I picked an feat from Advanced Class Guide that gives my familiar a small perk (it can fly at the speed of 5 ft. and it's body accurately reflects the stars on the night sky). Are feats from this source okay? Edit: Will the skill 'Use Magic Device' have a chance to be useful, considering that most ordinary spellcasters share a single list :)? |
