Sorry, seems I misinterpreted this... that's ok. I'll get rid of the last term and probably drop my Medic skill by 1 so I can keep Engineer (Life support) at 2 Braydn Hobbs STR: 5 (-1)
I shall, do my backstory and connections tonight and select my group package skill.
With further reading I realised I missed that I did the advancement wrong? So I've fixed that and hopefully have it right now... Braydn Hobbs STR: 5 (-1)

I guess I still need to make connections with two characters, though I'm not sure how to go about that. If you have any suggestions or advice or you can see I've done something just plain wrong please let me know. Here is my character generation steps I guess, you can see where I've picked up my skills: STR: 5 (-1)

The only lights I had that worked this year were purple and orange, so it's a fairly unusual looking tree, but like I said it makes me smile. We just had our last birthday of the year so our tree will be going up soon :)
That's weird. Why would anyone do university then? Basic Training For your first career only, you get all the skills listed in the Service Skills table at Level 0 as your basic training. For any subsequent careers, you may pick any one skill listed in the Service Skills table at Level 0 as your basic training. The book says for your first Career only and university isn't a career. I think I still get the Basic Training skills... Rereading through the university rules I've realised I missed the event table roll...

Term 1
Science (Biology) 0 Medic 1 EDU +1 to 12 Graduation INT: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2) + 1 = 4 Ah nuts... So I just go onto a career now as a failed Uni student... so much like real life :D Term 2
So I gain the service skills at level 0
As I already have the Electronics, Medic, and Science skills do I increase their rank by 1 or just keep them at their current ranks? I'll roll on the physician table: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Medic. So I raise my Medic skill by 1 rank.
Events : 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
EDU : 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4) + 2 = 11 cool I'm a little confused about what rank my skills are at already.. I might take electronics at level 1 if it isn't already or if it is I'll take Engineer (Life Support) 1 Advancement EDU : 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6 I don't advance but I can conitnue with the Scholar career next term.
I'd definitely be interested. I have one Adventurers League character but I'm not sure how legal he'd be... he played in a Lost Mine of Phandelver Pbp that never reached the end and I haven't got a log sheet or if I did I never recorded it? I'd happily roll a a first level character though and play any module you'd like to run!
Yeah I'm not a fan of Drow as a playable race, and I was surprised to see their entry in the PHB. Still if someone really wanted to play one I'd probably allow that. In my current home brew campaign though Elves are a (long ago arrived) alien race, that destroyed their last planet, sucking its life force dry for magical energy. Humans are the result of Elven experimentation on Orcs and the Duergar (decendants of the Dwarves that never made the move to the surface) are taking the place of the Drow, though they are not the main focus of the campaign.

Yeah I'm generally a fan of the more 'standard' fantasy races myself: Human, Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, Half-Orc, Halfling and maybe Gnome.
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this! While I don't foam at the mouth when I think of a certain drow, I don't mind FR. It was the first campaign setting I ever played in (before that we just made homebrew settings.) I'm looking forward to the new monsters mainly (being the GM), but the extra playable races could be a bonus...

Happy Halloween! Halloween isn't that big in Australia (with a lot of people seeming to believe it's 'unaustralian' to celebrate it) Still it's on the rise and we at the Kip84 household thoroughly enjoy it. Here's the kids ready to go trick or treating :)

When he's not entertaining he can often be found in the town square, busking or mending some child's toy. He can also often be found at the towns Inn in the evenings, playing a tune or telling a tale. Jango is friendly with the Ferdinand the proprietor there and has pretty much had a permanent room there since his small house burnt down some 17 years past... Jango rolled into Wood creek around 53 years back, a young halfling ready to settle down after a mysterious past in the big city and some intervening years adventuring. Now with some laughter lines on his face and flecks of grey hair in his sandy brown hair, he feels he's done splendidly. He loves the small town, though he still ventures out for a wander every few years to gather more tales, jokes and tunes. With the coming expansion and talk of strengthening the defences Jango has it in his head that he'd like to lend a bit more of a practical hand. Just you try and stop him! Young whippersnapper!
