Hello. Okay so, I got another chance with the iPad, though still no computer, though I AM looking for replacements. I suppose I should post some tactics for Kel.

Assuming her allies are injured (at least two or more with at least 25% health) she will use her channeling to heal them. She saves the CLW spell for emergencies.

During combat she attempts to stay within a 30 ft. Radius of as many of her allies as possible just in case she needs to channel, preferably behind her tankier allies to avoid getting hit.

Assuming there is one Enemy, she attempts to demoralize them.

If there are two or more, she will cast murderous command on the one who looks like they have the most HP.

If an enemy is in a position where a command spell ordering the enemy to approach will likely lead to pain (such as through a fire or off a building) then she will cast that instead.

I will try to keep you updated.

Alright. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience here. I am currently on my friend's iPad. Here is a small update. My laptop is actually a lot worse off than I believed it to be. As in I need a new one. Like, completely. On the bright side, I keep all my files on a flash drive (yay!) but on the down side, I don't know when I will get a new one. That being said, it is totally understandable if you need to boot me. I will try my best to get one posthaste, but as of right now, a phone is the limit to what I have and I cannot check roll20 on it.

I hope to be able to return soon and do appreciate you DMPCing me for the moment, but also understand that is simply additional work for you.

Sorry. In the middle of final exams here. Can you NPC me please? Keltza will try to get close to an orc and cast murderous command on one of them if there are two or more standing. Failing that, demoralizing is still a great way to go.

For the record, I am still demoralizing with the intimidate checks. It was always an interesting mechanic to me and when I played my bard character focused on debuffs, he did this A LOT... but in face to face games I would normally just say, "I demoralize him".

It's interesting to come up with in character reasons as to why you are intimidating in the midst of combat and unfortunately... in character it looks like you are doing nothing, even though out of character it is a nasty debuff.

Assuming one of the orcs are still alive when her turn comes up:
Keltza chants mystical words before pointing directly at one of the orcs amidst the chaos, casting murderous command.

Assuming only one orc remains when her turn comes up:
Keltza pretends to chant mystical words, waving her hands around in grand motions. Right before she points at the remaining orc she cackles in orc. "Pharasma will show no mercy on your soul, and just like your friends before you, you shall perish!"

Keltza arches her fingers, looking around carefully with her allies. Just as Nerak suggests that someone sneaky lure the orcs out of the house, her eyes widen in surprise as Arlan rushes through the doorway. Cursing in Cyclops, she gets ready to cast a spell on the first Orcish face she sees.

Zova shakes her head, this time more somberly. "I am simply glad this is about to be over. It's not as if the thrice-damned Lumber Consortium would even have been willing to help out in such an instance... say, Cirthana, I know that you may be the only true devotee of Iomedae in this town, being one of her clerics... but I was wondering if there was something that could be done to help convert the people in this town to her teachings. Personally, I follow Abadar's rule but I am no priest... so I show his ideals by example. It seems to me, one step Falcon's Hollow could take to bettering its conditions is to root out both the Chaotic and Evil elements. The very first step I think in making this town a better place would be to give the people an ideal to strive for... and I believe that a combination of the teachings of our gods could be that ideal. You need not have an answer now... but I thought I might bring it up."

Stepping back, Zova nods. "I should be returning this here horse then. Perhaps we can discuss this later."

Keltza moves forward with a snarl on her face, standing behind her allies. Putting a foot on the dead orc beside her she points to the orange orc before speaking in the orc tongue. "Do you see what ruin you have wrought upon this city? I swear by the gods you will pay for your actions here today, even as we toss your wretched bodies into the depths of the Worldwound for the demons to consume! The Abyss will have your souls and Ragathiel will ensure that you wretches never return tot he land of the living, with his all consuming fire!" The flickering of flames demonstrates clear ire in the half-orc's words, even as she feels wounds opening on her body, as they knit themselves magically on Wulfrum's.

Since I am pretty sure my actions won't change once the orcs take their turns, I am going to state now what I do. Have to save the NPC, after all.

As Sara is dropped at her feet, Keltza frowns and looks away from the orcs, kneeling down and whispering mystical words. As her hand shimmers a deep red -the color of Ragathiel- she presses her hand down onto Sara and hopes the positive energy was enough.

Keltza's eyes widen as she sees Alran run inside the first burning building. She groans as she steps up to it and casts create water as he runs through the burning debris, trying to clear a path for him and buy him some more time so the fire doesn't spread all too much while he was inside. "I would appreciate it if you would hurry up!" She yells as the conjured water spouts and puts out some of the flames. "I am slowing the flames down some, but the building is too consumed in fire! I don't think I can completely save it!"

In this time, the wreckage of the battle around her does not once phase Keltza. In the year she was gone, she had seen many strange and horrifying things indeed... though never in her own home. A bead of sweat forms on her brow as she continues the create water spell.

In those two rounds, that would be one move action and two castings of create water (12 gallons total)

I'll be back a bit later. I have to go witness a few arraignments for a school assignment.

Alright, first and foremost, you have to be asking yourself "Why am I getting hit?" Usually if you, the squishy 2nd level arcane caster are getting hit, one of three things are happening.

1) You are far too close to melee. Don't do it. You aren't meant for it, and this is the sort of thing that you simply want to be as far away from as possible. Take a look at the range on your spells. If you can stay at the outer limit of that, yet still somehow within reach of a healer, you are golden.

2) Your party members aren't protecting you. Remember, the front liners are supposed to take the brunt of the damage for you. If they aren't positioning themselves between you and your opponent's weapon, there is something wrong.

3) Your GM is unfairly targetting you. Seriously, there is no reason why a 2nd level arcane caster should be targeted by... really anyone. You look like the least threatening person on the battlefield for crying out loud. Mindless creatures and animals generally attack the closest things to them and more intelligent creatures that you would be fighting at this level see Conan as the threat, not you. It's kind of hard to pay attention to the spellcaster mucking up the battlefield when there is a 7 foot tall barbarian gutting them with a sword. It doesn't matter if you look weak, the enemies have to prioritize. At later levels, sure, because enemies are also more likely to be used to fighting spellcasters, and you are much more dangerous, but not at level 2.

If all else fails, get Toughness and hope for the best.

Kel frowns at the suggestion to let the buildings on fire simply burn. "But they could have people inside..." She thinks for a second before smiling. No need to worry about that bit. I know a spell that could create large amounts of water in mere seconds. [ooc]at this level, one gallon a second to be exact I can simply spray them while we walk by to reduce the amount of damage to the town. That way, we don't have to spend time worrying about both the task of saving lives and securing the gate."[/b] Keltza nods her head, proud for thinking of a way to solve both problems at once. It was no use to potentially people burn when it would literally take her no time at all to put out the flames, and at no cost to herself.

Keltza sighs, casting a quick spell -enhanced diplomacy- before moving forward, looking to the people around her. "Friends, neighbors, I forgive you for my earlier anger. It was not befitting of me to lash out at you, but please understand where I am coming from. We are a united people... all Trunauans are our family. There is no use in attempting to murder one of our own right here on the streets when that very anger that was burning up inside of you could be used to destroy our foes, the orcs at the walls at this moment! Keltza hears the slurs and her eyebrows furrow as she hears the insults being thrown around. She steps up and begins to unwrap her bandages, revealing shriveled, blackened arms. "Listen up! My name is Keltza Proditor; you may remember me as an apprentice healer in town, but others may remember the significance of these burns, and my control over fire." She sneers at the ringleader of the lynch mob and stretches her hands as if she could spit fire from them at any time. "Now you want to burn her at the stake, although she is not the problem? You would rather attack a defenseless woman than protect your town? To me, that is even worse than scum, you should consider yourselves traitors! Even the orcs -the scum and filth that they are- seem to be united in this assault."

"Now, I expect you lot to go to the defense of the town while we light the beacons. And I swear, by Ragathiel's holy flames, if I find out that this woman was injured, I will ensure that you lot burn on the pyre with her! Do you understand me?"

Keltza's merry mood is abruptly shattered when she hears Kurst's news. Her green skin noticeably goes pale as she clenches her fists together, her burned hands racked in pain. She looks over to her allies and stands tall. "Come now. The sooner we get that beacon lit, the sooner we can join our allies in battle. I for one, will not be pleased if a Trunauan dies under my watch." She picks up her bag and starts to stride for the exit of The Killin' Ground, looking back briefly. "We should be able to make it quickly if we run. I hope one of you have a torch or a light spell. It looks pitch black outside." With that she steps outside and waits. "We might want to run before the battle gets too hectic. A lot of men and women will die if they can't see their attackers."

She turns to Varin and extends out her hand. "Give me a torch and I will hold it." Looking to the bandages on her hand she slowly retracts it. "A-actually, no. It would be best if someone else does. Or a light spell." She looks slightly terrified at the prospect of fire being so close to her, and you see her eyes widen as she realizes that she was sent on a mission to spark a massive fire. For the good of the town or not, it is hard to forget the burns which took her arms away from her.

I have darkvision 60 ft. No light spells because as a half-orc, she personally did not need them. I would think she isn't going to simply walk once her allies come out but attempt to run with them to the beacon, but her medium armor (20 ft. movement) might slow her down.

Keltza closes her eyes and concentrates. Suddenly, Wulfrum, Varin, and Alran feel more connected to Keltza... almost as if their lives were inexplicably linked together. (I am setting up a life link with you three).

Still dizzy from spinning, she stumbles over to the half-elf and gives him a hug. "And how goes it Arlan? Well I hope." Kel raises an eyebrow when she spots the red teeth, but opts not to say a word.

Aye. Context matters. A campaign in the middle of Cheliax? Probably don't want to roll up a halfling character who is the designated face of the party. Belkzen? Full of orcs. Trunau I believe only has like 50 half-orcs though, and even fewer dwarves.

Correction. Looking at Trunau's wiki page, there are a total of 20 dwarves in the town and 40 half-orcs.

Ten posts I think before you can no longer rename it. But aye, I have accumulated quite a few aliases from games that either never took off the ground or for my NPCs when I am GMing and am slightly annoyed that they can not be deleted when need be.

"Well then, it's been five years since I last had the need to dance, so you just might have to lead me on." She curtsies a bit awkwardly in her chain armor and gestures for the dwarf to begin. "Well then, should we start?"

Calistrian Nuns? :3

"Yes, yes of course." Kel says, pondering. Yes, It may be best to do as they say and ease my anger... but they do not deserve that much. The General of Vengeance has rewarded me with more and more power as time has passed; the more I have ended those orcish lives, the more powerful I have grown... so perhaps Ragathiel WANTS me to perform these acts... still, it may not be best to let my friends know that. Their faiths do not require them to be so hard hearted. I... I am like a Paladin, fighting against the forces of evil so that no one else has to. I am Good in that I dirty my hands with the blood of orckind, so that they could not possibly harm anyone else... yes.

Kel looks up at her friends and smiles. "You're both right. I am more than just the bestial half of my blood. I can make my own destiny, and I WILL make my own destiny. A path of righteousness that will lead me to Heaven when I have drawn my final breath."

I have gold left somewhere in the 600 GPs. I was holding off spending it just so I have an emergency store just in case we need specific supplies when we go off on the adventure. Never want to be caught off guard, and I'm sure we have at least one shopping opportunity in Trunau. Otherwise... why would we be here?

From a non-metagaming perspective, no one would spend all their gold so that they only have a couple of GP left.

Oh, she is likely going to shift into Neutral or Chaotic Good once she realizes "My god, I am completely Evil." Actually, that was my plan when I made this character; to have a redemption arc. For now though, she is definitely lawful evil.

It's great. Interestingly, I am PLAYING a Lawful Good Hellknight Inquisitor. She is actually the sort you might call a Paladin. "Hm... Order must come... but not if we must compromise our morals. There must be another solution."
