You are not used to the fully batoned sails and with the wind picking up, you struggle to adjust them in time, causing the ship to lurch from side to side.
Mirandir manages to keep a steady hand on the helm to maintain the course, however the ship rocks uncomfortably.

The crew find your meal wholly unpalatable. Most laugh it off, saying things like... I see why they call you Salty , or Did you make this with sea water?
Your earlier efforts with making friends mean they are not too upset but it is noted that most go to work hungry, leaving food on their plates.

You notice 2 duplicate entries in the log books and correct this. Everything else appears to be above board. You are studying Mr Stokes' office. most of the books in his bookshelf appear to be navigational charts for other regions. Some history books are amongst the shelves as well as the spell book that you discern is definitely a Wizard's spell book. During your shift, Mr Stokes comes in, double checks your figures and asks a couple of questions about stock which you answer promptly, nods in approval and goes to the top deck. As he leaves, he says "I've thought about what you said and if you are looking for some extra knowledge, come and see me when you are not on shift and I may be able to teach you some things. However, come with an open mind. don't presume that you will teach me something I have dedicated most of my life to."

You do an adequate job of cleaning the Captain's cabin. Towards the end of the shift, the Captain wakes. She asks you to fetch her her uniform, which you do promptly. She then requests you make up her bed and tidy her desk ready for the next day's sailing.

Your shifts come to an end. The wind is still picking up as you make your way down below decks. The boat begins to rock but not uncomfortably as yet. You eat your evening meal and fill out the rest of the evening talking amongst yourselves and the crew. You all tidy your bunk areas. You go to bed, marking ready for a good sleep, prepared to get up at 12.30am for the next watch.
Sometime whilst you sleep, you are awoken suddenly by the sounds of the ahip's bell ringing and Errol and Brayan shaking you awake. They say that Storm's on the horizon, Cap'n needs all hands on deck.
They dump some waterproof coats and hats on you.
Make ready to rush up on deck.

Hi all just to reiterate please make all changes to character sheets that you have stated previously before Monday.
I appreciate that so far it has been quite heavy on the story building and lighter on the RP but we are getting to the RP soon. As soon as you set sail, you will be somewhat freer to do as you wish.... within reason.

Concept: Foppish Son of a noble family seeking a life of fame and fortune.

Appearance: Hair is tied back with a length of silk, very clean complexion, nobleman’s moustache and neatly trimmed beard.
Wearing: Armour of the De poisse family household guard, (Heraldry is of a magical bottle with overflowing contents.)fur lined riding gloves and high boots with spurs.
Bio: The De Poisse family are wealthy land owners in Varisia. They made their money brewing alchemical substances and poisons in Cheliax and later decided to move north to become land barons. It is a life that until very recently has been very profitable. Florin is the only child of Marc and Anne De Poisse Current patrons of the family. As a child Florin was given every comfort. An education, fencing tutor, servants and the skills of diplomacy he would need to later run the estate. The one thing however that he was lacing was friends, so as he grew older he became more selfish and arrogant. Whilst he grew in age the fortunes of his family began to dip, the grounds were constantly being invaded by unsavoury creatures and characters and this put strain on Florins father. The breaking point came however when it came about that one of the scullery maids was pregnant with the illegitimate child of her and Florin, his father ever the tactful lord paid the maid to leave and sent florin away to “learn of the world and its people.” so equipped with the finest weapons and armour available Florin set out to learn of the world.

Height: 4'1".
Weight: 171lb.
Hair: Dyed deep red and spiked with animal fat, beard is long and plaited also stiffened with animal fat.
Eyes: Deep blue.
General Appearance: Kirgrik is shorter and has a wiry frame, his face is scared as are his fore arms and shins.
Demeanour: Frantic impatient and reckless, talks fast and tends to use confusing metaphors of his own creation.
His father was a thane in the Five Kings Mountains from a very old linage and not very progressive one. Kergrik's ancestors ranged from xenophobic at best to downright racist at worst. The Karak clan was openly distrustful of all but the most ancient alliances.
Coming from a relatively large family of 3 siblings Kergrik was the youngest of his 3 brothers 2 became priests; one of Torag and the other of Kols. His eldest brother became a Shield barer for the high king. it was suspected that Kergrik would join the army as he had never shown much aptitude for religious studies. so it was a shock when one day kergrik announced that he wished to live the life of a 'Caver' (Dwarven Ranger).
Setting out it soon became clear that whist he was no slouch in combat and navigation he lead expeditions on strange, impractical and often unnecessarily dangerous routes. More than one occasion it was suggested that maybe he should seek an adventuring party to travel with.
The carefree life of an adventurer suited Kergrik settling upon the dedicated combat role within his party as he had no practical experience of surface life or navigation.
Kergrik became a member of the Blades of Golarion...

just wanted to make my presence known I've been reading back dialog love the idea of the campaign. still like to be a part of this but i would understand if you have too many people, ive DM'd a large group before it can be a bit of a hassle.

Baal:
Born: in the Cargo Hold of Kelizandri's Blessed Wake (a slaver cargo ship), docked in Port Peril, The Shackles at the time.
Mother: Dhia
Between Ages 0 to 4: Dhia worked as an indentured servant for Vladimir 'The Tempest Duke' Kislev (a member of the Council of Free Captains). As part of the terms of service between them, she was to live and work in the house in exchange for food and lodgings.
Between Ages 4 to 22: Baal lived, trained and worked for the Brotherhood for the Protection of Free Trade. This consisted of the amalgamation of the Brotherhood of Blades Mercenary Company and the Golden Scales Trade Caravan Group.
Baal's contract was purchased by the Brotherhood at aged 4 as it was seen as an investment by the group's leaders to buy children and teach them moral right, wrong and dubiously grey. Throughout his career as a mercenary, he was paid for his service. By the age of 22, he had built up a reasonable account with the Pay Master, his payment mainly being in the form of Gems, Spices and Illicit Substances.
After reaching Katapesh, he decides to retire from the life of a mercenary, and begin a life of adventure searching for his heritage...
