Jonterra drags himself out of the acidic pool as the man goes down. Saying nothing, but nodding, Jonterra limps back to Tar Kuata with his party.

Jonterra follows along, gratefully accepting a charge from Eadie's wand. Nearing the water, he holds an arm over his nose, while watching Arovandeon examine the water.

Jonterra looks between the elevator and the carts. Nodding as if coming to decision with himself, the oread moves to stand next to Khamul. "My inner voice believes the elevator is the wiser choice."

Those two are so loud, I wonder if they ever hear they're inner voice....

Jonterra sits and inhales deeply from the smoke, though it will have little effect on him, then goes to sit watch.

It'd be cooler if Corb practiced chopping wood, while holding his breath, then passed out, holding his breath, not taking a breath until morning.

Not expecting such a vicious attack from a blinded foe, Jonterra is taken by surprise as the spear hits him in the abdomen and knocks him backward, off the edge of the platform!

Jonterra grabs the lip of the ledge, but his hand slips! As he starts to fall, miraculously, he kicks his feet rapidly on the side, delaying his fall long enough to grab with both hands and haul himself back onto the disc! Scrambling forward, he moves into a flanking position.

Jonterra utters another sutra, calling up a blessing of stone for the party, then moves to the north of Eadie.

Jonterra bows a takes a masterwork, wooden temple sword.

Jonterra watches Eadie and Corb easily climb the spire, respect etched upon his face. Wiping his hands and bare feet, he grasps the pillar.

The oread climbs steadily up, gaining speed as he ascends. Reaching the top, he wonders if there is enough room for three people as he shimmies over the edge.

Jonterra takes his place on the ledge and settles into the stance of the shaitan, quietly uttering sutras. Within moments, he appears to have become one with the stone, resembling a boulder with monk's robes draped on it.

Jonterra merely nods to Eadie, though anone looking closely can see the hint of a smile play across his stony features.

After the master explains the next test, Jonterra bows again, then steps forward. Taking a deep breath, then exhaling slowly, the oread closes his eyes, plants his legs in a wide stance, flexing at the knees. Crossing his arms across his chest, he attunes his senses to the slightest disturbance.

Pushing away all sensations and emptying his mind, Jonterra first hears the soft swishing of Aoetsep's robes. As his skin feels the neigh imperceptible bow wave of air as the staff is swung, the oread's left hand snaps out and catches the staff inches from his head.

Jonterra quietly comes foward and takes a board and holds it. Closing his eyes, he puts himself in a meditative stance, slowly breathing in and out as he visualizes breaking the board.

Dex: 1d20 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 5 = 14
Str: 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 5 = 25

Tossing the plank in the air, Jonterra snaps out with a quick, deft punch, breaking the board into two equal halves. As the boards fall to the ground, he turns to Aeotaep and bows, then quietly takes his place among his companions.

Jonterra punches his right fist into the open palm of his left hand and bows his head. "I am ready, Master!"

Jonterra nods, then bows. "It seems only fitting, and I welcome the challenge and the opportunity to gain a small amount of tutelage from this monastery."

Jonterra bows deeply at the introduction of Menkha. "It is a great honor to visit this monastery. I had heard of it and always wished to visit."

Once let loose, Jonterra slowly and deliberately paces the grounds, studying the monastery.

Jonterra moves past his companions, circling to the north and punches at the mummy, his fist wreathed in fire.

I thought it was just heading north from the entry hall.

"I believe there is one area, yet unexplored." Jonterra says as he begins moving in that direction.

Jonterra removes a flask of acid and a flask of alchemist's fire from his pack.

"Perhaps, if you weren't so slow to act." Jonterra mutters over his shoulder to the whining archer.

Jonterra charges the remaining zombie, drawing his blade along the way.

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Jonteraa looks at the women in confusion, not understanding the language. "It must be an illusion, or a trap."

Jonterra waits to see if any skeletons are left standing after his companion's attacks.
