Sounds great. I'll be bringing a L4 female wayang Swashbucker/Investigator named Claire Lee-O'Blivyus. She comes from a long line of detectives, constables, and magistrates in the Lee-O'Blivyus family. Her aunt, Portia Lee-O'Blivyus, had found her an internship which ended terribly. Claire accidentally killed the constable, Patty O'Furniture, in a bungled investigation. Claire was forced to resign her internship, and her dreams of local government service died as swiftly as her constable. She turned her focus to the Pathfinder Society as a chance for redemption. See you shortly! Ben

After quickly sketching the diagram of the room and the map itself, he turns to Tory saying, "I think your finesse will be perfect for the map. I will do my best to assist you, and I think Gilfroy and Gima might be able to assist you as well." Aid Another DC 10: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

I apologize for missing a few posts. I'm in the process of changing jobs, and my kids all had lots of end of school shenanigans. Jaegar casts a few spells as preparation for the coming fracas. He puts up Defending Bone, uses a charge from his wand of Lucky Number, and casts Divine Favor. Lucky Number: 1d20 ⇒ 18 If, at any time in the next 24 hours Jaegar rolls his luck number, he can choose to add 2 or reroll. He turns to his friends and implores, "Please do not hurt Korshad, I feel The Inherator may have need of him." "Korshad, this life is not for you. Jaegar will actively chase Gima. He wants to avoid directly confronting the gnolls as a slaver. If the gnolls are indeed divination focuses for the slave master, and Jaegar and Vrald are seen fighting against them the ruse is over. If the slaves overtake the gnolls, but are subdued by Jaegar and Vrald, the ruse can continue. If the gnolls are not slain, but are left behind, then Jaegar and Vrald are exposed but the slaves may not be. Furthermore, Jaegar is not 100% sure where we are going. That leaves us underequipped and lost in the desert with a handful of slaves and potentially 2 dead gnolls. While the gnolls may be slavers, they are essential to helping us infiltrate the slave network. Jaegar takes a single move toward Gima and fires an arrow at the Hyena. Jaegar will talk to the other slaves when the gnolls are eating, napping, or otherwise occupied. The goal of the conversation is to assess any abilities they may have, and how much of a liability they would be in a fight. If Jaegar thinks they will turn on him or the other slaves, he would not be likely to cut them loose. However, if they can be allies he would encourage Gilfroy to "work his magic" on the fellow slaves. Jaegar will engage the Kellid hunter in Hellit, as an attempt to both mask his conversation from the gnolls while giving Espanas a chance to use his native tongue. Jaegar will also attune his Kinbonded Bow to Vrald at the beginning of the trip. This will prevent Vrald from providing any soft cover to Jaegar's targets in a fight. The bow remains attuned until Jaegar picks a different ally. At the mistreatment of any of the Pathfinders, Jaegar would confront Hargur and Vangru. "Each of those slaves are worth more than the two of you combined. Every time you take a swipe at one of them, my friend here gets a free swipe at you. Are we clear?" Jaegar has no marks of office, no wayfinder, no holy symbols apparent for his role as slaver. Most notably, he wears a mask of stony demeanor, hiding his intent and increasing the menace with which he operates. He will act as a bounty hunter, which is not a disguise at all. He does not hide his gear, but will use his Sleeves of Many Garments to adorn many layered sailing garb of light white muslin over his armor and undergarments. This should provide function, an appropriate look, and a certain nonchalance about the fact that he is wearing light mithril armor under his clothing. He will state his role is protector of these very valuable individuals, also not a lie. Jaegar will reiterate that his mission is to escort the slaves all the way to their final destination, which is true. If asked, he will directly address the value of the individuals and the special circumstances of their capture. Yeah, we're in book 5 of Rise of the Runelords, and finished 6 levels of the Emerald Spire. We started Rise in September, but the lowest chronicle is for L3-4, so Jaegar hasn't been able to utilize it. We just did 4 sessions of Emerald Spire to acclimate a new player, so now I have a chronicle that applies to a L1-2. I have chronicles with nowhere to put them, so I have some that apply to levels 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5. I don't think I have a level 6 or 7 at the moment, so I'll go straight from here to there. We've been playing this scenario since 4 February... If I go to L6, does that mess with the party composition too much? I'm not sure Gudrun or Gilfroy are ready for 3-7 scenarios...

Jaegar eyes the Dwarf with scrutiny. "Next time, just fight til your down and we'll heal you after. One more hit from you could have ended the battle much sooner." Charge 3: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 In our area, it's pretty common for the first two prestige points to go into a wand of CLW. That means everyone has a way to heal themselves, even if another party member has to use the wand itself. It's a pretty courteous method of managing resources. No worries ;-)
I think if you're tanking, and your role in the party is to keep the other guys from getting squashed, I would recommend Combat Reflexes. Also, I would recommend a wand of enlarge person. I just started the Emerald Spire Super Dungeon with a barbarian, and I took Combat Reflexes as a first level feat. With enlarge person the ability to threaten more squares is a fantastic combination, and only costs one feat and a wand. My logic was this: The most valuable thing a Barbarian can do is attack. The best way to get more attacks at lower level is with Combat Reflexes. +2 or +4 damage here and there is already insignificant, at 5th level while enlarged he does 3d6+21 damage. More attacks are way more useful! I ended a combat with a fleeing boss, as he made the acrobatics to withdraw from my first threatened square, but not the second. The AoO may not come up every combat, but it does probably 1/2 to 1/3 of the time, and then my barbarian is zoning out threats for the rest of the party.

Ok one of the big things that gets under my skin in the mmo world is this, traveling. I used to play Uo and they had a way to travel to any location if you could teleport to it using runes or book marks. Then I played FF11 for some months and It took forever to get anywhere. I have played wow for alittle and travel is kinda in the middle, air ships or walk, Still takes a bit to get to places. So my big question is this. How is travel gonna plan out? Will it take forever to get anywhere? We all know it takes days to travel (for lower level adventures) In PFRPG, So how long will it take in PF:O?

Ok I just got the Bestiary 2, err, In PDF form. Book forum soon. I am sure this has been talked about, But what I am talking about Is the Non-Hit dice races, I.E. Tiefling, Aasmar, Goblin, Kobold, Damphir, Sylph, So on and so on you get the idea. I am not talking about a full 300+ book like the RPG line, but kinda In the same light as the elf's of Golarion. Maybe on the Pathfinder Campaign Setting or the Pathfinder Player Companion, Maybe each page or two of the book details one of the races in detail, and includes all of the "(insert race here) as characters" (From as of now) Both Bestiary's also maybe some new playable races. Would this be some what remotely possible? The reason I ask is I like to play Different then human characters. I mean Humans are cool because we are all humans but in general Its fun to play a giant talking bird. I do know there are some other 3rd party books like this but this is a way to give a Damphir or Sylph or a "whatever" To give it fluff and more chance for players something other then the "7" core races. What do you all think?

We started a 2nd lv custom game. I was a Human Battle Oracle. The two other players are a Gnome Summoner who is a toy maker and loves bears. Hence his giant Teddy-Bear Eidolons who he rides, and a Human Monk who loves weapons and has so many we had to give her a sheet of notebook paper to fit them all. This is a custom game and where every thing is exceptionable except barbarians and spontaneous casters are rare. Any who we were tasked to go and kill this Minotaur and his gang of goblins and Kobolds. It was filled with traps and none of us could deal with it but we worked around them. anyway we are facing 4 goblin Barbarians It was us three and a npc fighter of 1st lv. Well to cut to the chase me and the fighter both died, I had two on me and two on him. The GM rolled two attacks for me and lo and behold two nat-20's with confirm crits. And The npc died as well. So I now need to make a new character, and I want to heal and fight but, My group needs a healer but also needs a fighter. So I was thinking Bard, they can heal and fight. Was also going to go as arcane duelist. I was also thinking of a druid so I can help fight with my Animal companion and heal my party. I could go as a cleric but I don't know. Rogue just poped into my head. As for race I wanted to play as a Tengu, but any of the 7 races are fine. I just need advice as what to play,Thanks.

Hello, I have a few questions about using technology In my table top game. Where we play We have a 50inch Plasma T.V. I was thinking of hooking a laptop to the T.V. and pretty much using the T.V. As a battle map. Now the main question is what about software to use for a battle map. Also has anyone used hero lab? What about some software for a battle map, anything good out there? Any and all suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.

I have a Player that wants to be a "necromancer" with the death and glory domains. He wants to control the dead but for his own use. Kinda like fighting fire with fire. Should I as the GM allow this? Also he wants to wield a Holy and Unholy sword. Also would casting control undead or something like the that with an evil spell descriptor make him evil? Where would his alignment end? and How also wants to heal and channel positive energy so how would that work with creating and controlling undead? Thanks for any and all help. -MRblahface

Ok, I am starting a game soon and a player wants to play a shape changing race. Frist he suggested a shifter from the 3.5 book. If i were to allow that how would I convert that to PFRPG? But then He suggested a Lycanthrope. I was going to start at LV1 but that may not be possible. Is there any 3rd party races that allow this? Or how would I allow him to be a werewolf and what lv would I start at? Thanks! -MRblahface.

Seoni's Iconic wright up says that her tattoos aid her in her casting. What does that mean? Is there there Rules for tattoo magic or will there be rules for tattoo magic in the future maybe in Ultimate Magic Or another book? If there already is rules on them, can some one point the way to them? Also How much aid would they give, would you be able to hide them (like the spell arcane mark), and how long would it take to Tattoo the tattoos? Is Seoni's Tattoos arcane mark or something else? Would it take a day, week, month, would it be a ritual? Please Discuss and thank you. -MRblahface.

I really want to attend but I don't know if I have the money to attend. I bought the tickets for the con and banquet already but I would be flying from Massachusetts. I would also need to get a car and a hotel. So we are talking close to a thousand or so maybe more. I really want to attend because I rarely have the chance out here to play pathfinder here in Massachusetts. I am a forum lurker but still would be nice to go. Also am not one of the most outgoing and tend to be on the shy side. But reason for positing this is One If I don't attend is there a way to sell my tickets for the con and banquet or return them? Because tickets are normally not returnable non-refundable. Sorry for the ramble I tend to do that alot and thanks for answering my question... -MRblahface.

Ok, Here is a question. What is PF's rule about natural healing? Meaning when a charter goes to sleep what does he heal in hp (if anything) when He wakes up? And how is that determined? I looked in the book but could not find it. Thanks!

Hello, How is every one? Ok I for some time have been wanting to run a pathfinder game with my gaming group. And am Having a REALLY hard making a good encounter or dungeon. I have made a couple of Dungeons before but they have either been three rooms that all look the same or a temple that is kinda "on rails (like pretty much telling them where to go)" Also I need some help on making the actual encounter, like what they are fighting or stuff like that. I kinda am having some trouble figuring the APL or CR. some background info there three of them and we are starting at lv one. the characters they just made are a goblin bow fighter, a gnome bard, and Dwarf Barbarian. They choose to all be Chaotic neutral. So with that said what should I have them do, because there not "good" or "Evil" and at the start they hate each other. So any help tips or anything else would be great, thanks. P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. |
