A pale, half-elven woman who had been sitting quietly in the corner and poring over some notes looks up sharply as the kitsune rattles off the names of the dead.

"Ajaline, you say? I..." she pauses, clearly trying to decide on the words she wants to use. "I worked with him, back during that business with the Sky Key. He was a competent agent and of a generally-agreeable disposition."

She bows her head. "I am sorry to hear of his passing."

Isme's stomach drops as Lorian is felled by a vicious strike from the simulacra but before anyone can act, the dome overhead shatters and she feels almost as if she's floating as everything around her dissolves...then suddenly her feet hit solid ground and she stumbles to her knees as the familiar sight of the meadow greets her and everyone else.

"Oh...oh my..." she gasps, quickly climbing to her feet. "It is over! We are back in our proper time!" Looking around, her gaze falls on the still-bleeding Lorian and she quickly moves to try and stabilize him.

Heal (Stabilize): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

"Whew...he still needs healing, but I think I've managed to stop the bleeding at least." She looks up at the others. "If it weren't for this and all the other carnage," she motions to the still bodies scattered about, "I'd almost think that the whole thing had been a dream..."

"Whoa!" Isme exclaims as the simulacra suddenly tries to turn her fury on her, ducking under the attempted strike. She quickly takes a step back and attempts to retaliate in kind.

The half-elf sighs as she quickly finds the fighting quarters becoming close once more.

I must figure out a way to limit the splash on my bombs...or a way to imbue future teammates with fire resistance.

She falls back and circles around the large humming coils, moving to stand behind Etna.

"We will have to trust that the others will be able to handle the real Lady Arodeth and hold the line here as long as we can," Isme says grimly. Longspear in hand, she moves up and attempts a series of jabs and feints in an attempt to distract the simulacra from Zav.

As soon as the last of the men fall, Isme quickly begins rifling through the enemy's pockets to see if they have anything that might help them get Zav back on his feet. Her eyes light up as she spies the healing potions and she quickly tips one and then the other down the half-orc's throat.

Cure Light Wounds Potion #1: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Cure Light Wounds Potion #2: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Once everyone is more or less back on their feet, Isme listens intently as Shaine...or his image...explains the situation.

"I think it might be wise to let one of the more experienced teams attempt to speak with the Lady," she finally says. "Hopefully they will be able to convince her to desist in this madness in a peaceable manner but if not...well, it sounds as if they would be more likely to stop her by force, as well."

Her expression is resolute. "However I will stand with the group no matter which path is chosen."

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

What's in the spoiler tags only happens if we have no other way to get Zav back up, by the way. If someone else has a healing spell then Zav, Etna, and Ajaline can decide how to handle the two healing potions :)

As the rest of the group close in on the lone enemy, Isme drops her crossbow and draws her longspear. Taking a step forward, she tries to skewer the persistent man.

Attack (Longspear; Inspire Courage): 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5

Isme drops her crossbow as a free action, draws her crossbow as a move action, takes a 5 foot step forward and then stabs. By the way, do we even have a way to get Zav back on his feet after this? Our potions from earlier vanished when we got dumped into this time period.

Isme's Round 5

Hoping to have better luck with striking the wily man, Isme drops back a step and pulls out a bomb - but instead of aiming directly for the man she instead lobs it at the space adjacent to him, hoping to get him with the splashback.

Attack (Bomb; Inspire Courage, PB Shot): 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 14

To be clear, Isme is aiming for the square to the northwest of where Red is standing. Splash damage is 4; 6 if Inspire Courage and PB Shot apply. DC 14 Reflex save if he wants to try and avoid it and only take half damage.

As the rest of the group close in on the remaining foe, Isme comes running around the large bronze coils and skids to a stop a few paces behind the melee. Taking aim, she fires off a shot from her crossbow...

Isme's Round 3

"Blast! We need to finish this quickly and see to Zavubak!" Isme cries. Realizing that the area around their remaining foe is too choked with allies to risk using another bomb, she instead draws her crossbow. Taking a step forward she fires off a shot and then prepares to hustle into a better firing position.

Attack (Light Crossbow; Inspire Courage): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Or, barring her being unable to get off a shot at all from her current position she'll just draw her crossbow as a move action and then circle around the bronze things like before.

Isme's Round 2

Although prepared to fire her crossbow at the small electrical orb, Isme's eyes light up as it conveniently retreats away from Etna to hover over the pool of water. Instead of firing a bolt, she takes another step to the side before reaching into her bag and pulling out a small round object that she then hurls at the elemental.

Attack vs. Elemental (Bomb!): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage (Fire): 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

"Hahaha! That's the way to do it!" she cackles gleefully.

Aw...too bad they're immune to crits ;_;

I would have liked to see the Vault as well but Barl is right, I don't think any of us currently have the capability to locate it. We shall have to do our part by dealing with the tethered people and hope the senior Pathfinders will be able to find the vault."

"Seems we've found our man," Isme hisses, eyes wide at the sight that greets them as the skeletons and the large snake snake move to intercept the party.

"I believe now is the time for decisive action!" she adds as she steps behind Barl and pulls out a small stoppered bottle and a vial of liquid. With practiced ease she applies the liquid to whatever is in the bottle, gives it a good shake and then heaves it in an arc to land just behind two of the attacking skeletons.

It's a Bomb!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Really? Le sigh...
Splash Damage (Fire): 4 = 4

If there were any question as to why she didn't aim directly at either skeleton, it becomes clear as the bottle shatters just behind them and bathes both in an explosion of fire.

To be clear, Isme is aiming for the space 4 squares directly ahead of her current position so as to avoid getting Etna or anyone else with splash damage.

Although Isme has no wish for Lorian or anyone else to come to permanent harm, she had to admit to herself that being able to witness the results of the serpent's poison was certainly interesting. Or rather, it would have been if they were in a safer place of study. As it was, she realized that trying to aid Lorian's recovery was more important than indulging her own curiosity.

"Hold still! These compresses need to stay on your eyes in order to counteract the poison," she chides as she tends to the ailing peacemaker. "The alcohol in the wine will burn but it shouldn't be any worse than the poison itself," she adds, hoping that this might cheer him - which it clearly does not.

When the poison eventually clears from her companion's system, she does look rather relieved. "Good...we need everyone's eyesight in order to maximize our returns while we're here and I don't believe any of us has the ability to heal such a condition; we would've needed to retreat out of the bubble most likely."

And I'm not sure how well Viata would respond to someone else's commands. Note to self, test that later - in a controlled environment.
