"I suppose shackles will work. I'm already uncomfortable enough as it is in my own skin. I'm not too privy to putting on another." the elf cracks her knuckles, though it sounds like bones are snapping. She then holds out her arms to be bound. "While you're at it, I suppose I should say Delyliath has the right idea. I enjoyed a comfortable bed at that last town we visited."

Iranaset walks forward, toward the drow, moving to almost within striking distant. Leaning forward, she places a hand on the hilt of her sword and sneers at the drow. "You got a lot of nerve coming here and making demands like that..." she says, "Tell me why I shouldn't twist it for you, stranger."

Also, answering your question in game TSG, I was pretty sure the plan called for Iranaset to attack the bone devil. So that's what she's doing. But its entangled and fatigued right now, so maybe she can go in with you against the priest in round 2. I'll make a decision after the results for this round are made. And add +1 attack rolls. Thanks Illia ;).

The Dapper GM wrote: Sounds about right, but remember that on a surprise round you can only move, single attack, cast a spell, or charge. Your rule is final, but I do want to point this out for your consideration. The Surprise Round wrote:

Emphasis mine. I believe the rules intersect in such a way as to allow a swift action during the surprise round. Also yeah, have Iranaset be 5' over at the beginning of combat (can't look at the map right now, so you're allowed to move her).

Also TSG, I'd argue that Iranaset would probably do better with the haste from a DPR standpoint. I built her as a crit fisher and an extra attack means more chances to crit. Also, unless I read the ability wrong, I have 6 more uses of Rimed frostbite to spellstrike with before I've used up that spell completely.

The Gnoll plan was thrown out Mal (I think people took my dismissal of it to heart *shrugs*). So what I'd say is throw me at the Bone Devil with support of someone with dimensional anchor and/or glitterdust. So that means a party of at least 2-3 against the bone devil. Honestly if we throw Illia and Iranaset at the bone devil, she can tank while I do flyby attacks. All we need is a spellcaster for support. In essence, I like the plans that involve what I just said above taking place. I think Illia suggested that course of action in one-two of the plans she mentioned. Now. That being said, I also like having Delyliath disguising herself as the priest and convincing the paladins that he's evil and watching them flay him alive, but then we have to think about getting the body later and that's a headache. I say Drisquar/Shimsil and whoever else can help (probably Mal) go take on the priest while Illia and Iranaset take down the bone devil and hold off the paladins (with the help of a spellcaster). I think that about lines up with one of Illia's plans so I vote for that one.

Well, in our defense, there was almost a week where we were just posting filler until the GM updated us. Seriously though. In my next post I'm going in on the bone devil, I'm going to say I bought a potion of see invisibility, so that I can have that affect compensated for, but I need someone to dispel that aura of fear if they can. I can't pass that check consistently enough to be comfortable going into Melee with it. Also, GM. You can post the map above the thread somehow. Don't ask me, I've never done it myself, but I know its possible.

Iranaset smiles, broadly as she hears, and in some cases see, her accomplices moving in on the citadel. She begins laughing, but buries her head in Mal's shoulder to pretend as if it was something he said. So we're attacking now? Fun! I'll be needing a few things done though. That nasty thing strutting around the hallway needs to be made visible... Or brought to our side if you can manage it. Next it'll be nice to have a panicked crowd to move through. Maybe force somebody to start stabbing everybody else? Its just a suggestion. If you want me to just start slitting throats I can do that too. she pauses for a moment. Yes, I like all of those options. Her eyes fall on a particularly enticing young man with beautiful jugulars, but she pouts as the general agreement shifts to attacking at night time.
Female Half-Dragon Elf
The scryers are back at the house I believe. No one at the Citadel has access to their insights but you're drifting around maybe you'll run into her? Iranaset leans lazily onto Mal's shoulder. "You want to see if we can get an appointment with the priest? Or another suitable higher up?"
Female Half-Dragon Elf
Keeping my perception score from earlier. Will roll Knowledge(Arcana) here and post an RP post later. Also, did I get any useful information from gathering info? Particularly, is there a good escape route besides the glass dome? Detect Magic + Knowledge(Arcana): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Iranaset to Mal:
"Noooo." she replies, almost singing it. "Walk in, get a meeting, measure him up, then make a few judgement calls." She grabs Mal's arm tighter and leans her head in slightly. Though she's sure their conversation is drowned out by the crowd, she remains cautious. "I doubt that their full strength was on display last night and there should be more bruisers around. I want to see and get a feel for them. There's also the teensy detail that when it comes time to escape I won't be teleporting out like some of you guys, and it sounds like the scrying stones were place in such a way as to watch the priest more so than the crowd." Upon reaching the citadel Iranaset will start mingling with the crowd to get an idea of what they know about the high priest and the nature of his visit.
She also looks around for easy escapes (skylights, windows, open air walkways)
Female Half-Dragon Elf
"Well, to be perfectly honest..." Iranaset begins, continuing toward the door, "I think the whole gnoll/corruption/cause riot plan is silly. Really silly. Like, something you tell children to make them stop licking the window pane silly. Those of you advocating such an approach sound like storybook villains. And they ALWAYS lose. So i'm going to go see for myself if I can't just punch the priest in the face and be done with it before buying in to another elaborate plan. My significant macguffin is on the line."
Female Half-Dragon Elf
"Well I'm visiting the citadel today." Iranaset chirps, slipping on sandals somewhere off to the side of the larger gaggle of her comrades. "I want to see it during the day, when it is most active. Its one thing to listen to stories, another to see it for yourself." She heads toward the door, slipping on inexpensive earrings. "Who's coming with me? Should be fun to meet some of the people we're most likely going to kill later." she pauses for a moment, then chuckles "On the flip side, they may feel the same way about us soon enough."

Tiny Coffee Golem wrote: Just my 2c, but I prefer Smite to stay specific alignment (aka good). If only because it's just plus damage otherwise. Keeping it smite good is more flavorful. IMO. Your game, of course. I agree with Tiny Coffee Golem in all regards here. Also. I'm totally up to doing downtime RP until the restless party members get back from scoping the place out. Technically none of us can sleep.
Female Half-Dragon Elf
Sitting cross-legged on the bannister above the house, Iranaset tries to meditate. Just as she's drifting away she hears people leaving the house. With one eye open, she watches curiously as they steal away into the night. "Oh how patient they are." jokes the elf as she closes her eyes once more. "I hope they have fun."
Female Half-Dragon Elf
"So that's it then? Tomorrow we'll be traveling casually?" Iranaset asks, by now having returned to the group. She stares at them with an impossible look that lies somewhere between malice and affection. "If we're going out tomorrow, I can't wear this." she motions to her traveling vestments. "If one of you shapeshifting, teleporting, cuties don't mind, could you pick me up a sun dress or something weather appropriate? Preferably with an open back." she flashes her wings to drive the point home. "My measurements are 36-26-36 91-66-91 last I checked. Thanks in advanced." With that she leaves the room and goes to the roof where she can meditate under the night sky.
Female Half-Dragon Elf
Iranaset nods, incredulity softening. She strokes Dana's hair gently, tucking her shivering body more tightly into the covers. "I wasn't going to kill her, you know." she protests weakly, taking the succubus's hands and standing. "And I'm very thorough... Her wounds would not have been visible to anyone but me... And I suppose you." she gives the succubus a once-over and a wink before starting her trek out of the room. "I'll give you a day --maybe two for asking nicely, 'playmate' and see what you have in store for this household. But she's going to be pretty out of it in the morning." she says, her tone cheerful. She rakes her claws lightly along the wall as she descends the stairs.
Female Half-Dragon Elf
"Hmmm." Iranaset says, with a sly grin. She places a finger on Delyliath's lips and pushes her face away gently. "To be clear. You're telling me that if I stay out of your way you'll let me pour burning wax or whip someone? Or find me a stranger after I've clearly expressed interest in the little one right here?" She giggles as she asks these questions, unable to hide how incredulous the suggestion sounds to her. "And why oh why would I buy into such an arrangement, 'playmate'? If I didn't know any better I'd say you were giving me a turd and calling it apple pie."
Female Half-Dragon Elf
Don't want to assume too much here, but after the girl's situation is resolved by a GM (either's she out or she's not) I'm just going to say this bit happens after the fact. Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
She feels the girl's stiff muscles, poking and squeezing them. "It has been so long since I last emerged on the surface. I've longed for this moment. This day when I would come back to the surface and find a soul ready to be shown the wisdom of flesh. And here it is, and here that soul lies. I'm sure you know such longing." Iranaset moves a long silvered nail along the girl's face, tracing a line from her eye to her mouth. "I want to hurt her. I want to rip her. I want to open her chest and kiss her beating heart." Iranaset giggles as she admits her desires. "She will experience without limits; and when I'm done and she's writhing for more, I'll kiss her wounds away. Then she will be mine." The elf kisses the girl's forehead and takes her cheeks within one hand, squeezing her face into a pucker. She then begins to move the cheeks, making the girl look as if she's talking. "What did you have in mind?" Iranaset asks, mimicking a toddler's voice as she speaks for the girl.
