Submitting Inyl (divided by 4, obvi). This sounds great, I love rogues. Willing to archetype and reskill as necessary.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Understood. You don't mind if we "withdraw" from the campaign and use these characters elsewhere in the meantime do you? As long as we come back with similar stats?

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

I use Google Docs for my campaigns. You can post any image to Drawing, including maps, or if you want you can make a 20x20 table and do it that way.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

I'd say you're welcome, but I made a crit threat, so I feel bad for whoever's out front.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Inyl lines up as far to the back and right as he can, hoping to do some ranged damage before the monsters reach his position.

Do you realize you didn't put a "d" in the d20 for attack for the snake-thing?

On his turn...

"Ya wanna eat something? Eat this!" Inyl shouts at the fire-tongued beast as he looses an arrow at it.

Dice:

Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Perc: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Hey, I'm in nursing school, I know EXACTLY how it is.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

*Ribbit*

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Okay, yeah. Me too.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Okay it's been a week, is everyone okay? I'm starting to worry...

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

"Whatever you say maestro," Inyl tries his best to be glib, but even he can tell his words came out distant and distracted. He follows Ironhide to where the beasts are endangering the townsfolk, sneaking: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 and drawing his bow and an arrow as they draw nearer.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

As he saw the kayal woman approaching in such fine garb--and not hard on the eyes either--his thoughts immediately focused on impressing, befriending, and wooing this maiden...as quickly as possible.

Her message to him, however, struck clean any other thoughts. Home. Redemption. He cared (a bit) for his comrades, but a chance to return to his father...He shook his head, No, he thought, It can't be true, it's a trick. But after all this time, could he really take that chance? @GM: will you let me know when it's about to be midnight? (hard to keep track of time on PbP)

Hope it's okay, I must have been retarded when I ranked my skills, I'm switching out Swim for Perception (4 ranks)
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 not that it'll help me much

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

"Good, logistics for the cache covered, but aren't we supposed to be finding an animal-attack victim?" He looked at 'Grim, brows raised, with a sort of I-don't-really-care-either-way look on his face.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

They call us the Paramalid, Inyl answered having regained his swag since Mr. Knotty-Knickers left, the Fortunate Strangers.

He groaned inwardly over his comrades' bleeding hearts. Still, he knew his odds of getting that cache without them were slim. Besides, somebody had to look out for Yellen. Couldn't understand him with all the sign-language and what-not, but Inyl doesn't easily trust those from other planes, and Yellen is the only other kayal he's met since he escaped.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

yeah, I got a little confused with the introductory post of the two guys...I guess Borsa's the human and David's the half-elf?

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Haha, quite.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Inyl shuddered at Malgrim's tone...acting like his father was always a good way to shut the kayal up.

The rogue played it off by capitalizing on 'Grim's last comment: he turned to the human and said, You're right 'Grim, that would be a very dangerous decision.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

@Malgrim: When do we have to decide? It'd be cool if it happened organically.

PS: sorry Inyl's going all lone wolfy, but his perception sucks, so if you want him to join the lumberjack mission you'll have to be very forward and convincing.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Fool, ten percent is nothing, and his friend is kidding himself if he thinks he can pull one over on me...better keep him close though, so as to keep an eye on him. We have a deal, Borsa. Now, my human friend, didn't catch your name; I'd be willing to let you come along with us to earn one fifth of the spoils--after the ten percent for Borsa, of course. He said as an aside to the half-elven businessman.

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Not losing focus, Inyand gnores the music. Dibs? Is this some kind of material plane law I'm unaware of? Last I checked, Borsa here has the connection, so I'll be addressing him, if you don't mind. Borsa, name your price. Inyl didn't like the idea of getting ripped off, but he'd never get anywhere if he never saw the map.

Roll perception to overhear Malgrim and Yellen's hushed conversation:

Spoiler:
1d20 - 3 ⇒ (7) - 3 = 4

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

Pretending to be very focused on the sharpening of one of his shortswords, Inyl overheard a private conversation in which he learned of a map which supposedly survived the catastrophe detailing the location of a building, recently risen, filled with supplies. The real nugget though, was that the majority of the supplies were medicinal in nature. Inyl saw a future for himself in these words, knowing that he could make a killing with those meds...so to speak.
Inyl stood up from the table at which he sat in the corner of Ventron's only watering hole. He removed his hood letting his vibrant blue hair blaze loudly to catch the attention of the man who spoke. If that didn't work, the gruesome scars on his face certainly made him the most interesting thing in the room.
Capitalizing on his monopoly, he strode directly to where the man was seated and asked, feigning interest as well as he could Did you actually see the map?

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

How do we decide what to do/how to start? Is there a bulletin in the town square or something with that stuff on it? Or are we not supposed to get started yet?

Male Drow Rogue (Poisoner)/Alchemist 2

I misunderstood the whole dice roll thing and I rolled them on my own. I already statted to those rolls, and I have them here. I'll roll through the algorithm next time, but I really don't want to re-stat my character if that's okay.

Background

Spoiler:

Born in the death of his mother, his father Jemar raised him in the only life they could afford to live: servants to the great umbral dragon known as Deftclaw. They were thieves under his command, they were trained to flit back and forth between the Shadow and Material planes stealing from the outworlders to profit their master.

Over time, Jemar had accrued a great deal of treasure for himself and his son which he held back from their master. When a fellow servant discovered this and went to Deftclaw, Inyl had no choice but to break into his father's quarters, steal the goods, and go before the dragon himself, claiming it was he who held back.

As death is an honor in the shadow plane, Inyl's punishment was instead branding. The mark of treason made certain that Inyl's life in the shadow plane would be one of trial and turmoil, so he decided to leave it all behind, and live in the world he'd so often looted.

While in the Material Plane, Inyl met a witch named Izabelle, an outcast from society. Her unexpected hospitality, and the persecution of her by the locals, affirmed Inyl's suppositions about the nature of most outworlders, leaving him suspicious of them in general.

Now Inyl lives as best he can doing what he must to survive, the constant reminder of a life and father to whom he can never return burnt onto his face.
