Hi GM, here's Archlich back with my character - Harbaestus, a vine leshy treesinger druid going the hierophant mythic path. I added background and some extra details on the profile, but left some hooks that we can play with at the end to get him into the starting point of the campaign, and even to link with other players if you so desire. I might need to tweak here and there with spells and gear/purchases. Please feel free to send me any questions and feedback. Cheers!

Hey guys! I'll be stepping out of the game and not validating my submission. Thanks for the consideration anyway and good luck, everybody! Have fun.

I’ll adjust accordingly!

Hi GM,

I'd like to present Harbaestus for your consideration. He's a Kraken Caller Druid, and I already updated him for the rules and the game. He has complete background and a couple other sections I thought relevant about his overall being and role. While his equipment is currently matching WBL, if you guys like him it'd be my pleasure to adapt it accordingly, removing whatever pointed out to.

Thanks in advance for the consideration! :)

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

GM, would you please be so kind to put me on the inactive list? Thanks!

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

I'm stepping out of this game, guys. Have fun! Thanks for having me, GM, and sorry to leave.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

I'm still around as well and keeping an eye on the ideas.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus simply holds for now. He isn't actually understanding the situation at all - as far as he can see, it looks like a bunch of people grouping against a slaver. All the drow could focus at the moment was on the guardian.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

The drow stepped to advance, but misread the intentions of the present - and for moments paused to consider his options. Seeing all the needless violence breaking around him, he took a deep breath and simply stayed on his spot assuming a completely defensive stance.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus didn't seem to particularly care much for the opinion of the human - drows were so much closer to perfection than these short-lived pinkskinned arrogant people that it was pointless to glorify it with a reply. Instead, the Godling became more concerned with the apparent fight breaking around him, and concerned himself with the aggressive actions - making sure to step in an angle that he could see everybody on his field of view.

I failed the Sense Motive - should I roll initiative and act too?

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Harbaestus notices a commotion, but doesn't completely grasps what's going on. He dreamed of guardians and had been on the road ever since, but nothing was found - until now. It can't be an ordinary thing - he sees other drow, and immediately starts suspecting they might be chasing him - until he sees the drow noble is, in fact, the one he has been seeking. Yet, it all gets deeper when he sees Audria - yes, he knows her face fairly well. That's her.

The paladin stands up and, for the split of a second, he seems to shine - as if his presence has something truly divine about it. Finally, though, he speaks.

I... I know you. - he says towards Phaelanna, as if he instinctively knew their paths were connected - ... And, of course, you. - he finally completes towards Audria.

He steps forward, as martial maneuvers seem to be exchanged - and pulls his sansetsukon.

I'm here in peace and I ask you to lay low your weapons and seek peace, as well, in your intentions. Irori guides my journey and I'm his Paladin of Perfection - and by my Ascendancy, I shall not see blood spit in vain.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

Dotting

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Dotting - better post coming tomorrow

@Zayne: It's only a gestalt, not a tristalt. It's perfectly valid per gestalt rules: one side is monk/pally (2 levels each), the other side is godling (4 levels). This was checked with the GM already, and authorized - race, classes, third-parties. I don't see your character on the list - shouldn't you be more worried about it?

Here o/

Curious too! My character has been ready for a while :)

Hi GM! Chess here with my character. I built an Eldritch Godling, as I said, but made him level 4 and gestalted with some other classes I think it'd thematically and mechanically fit him very well. I wanted to somehow link him with the other characters - especially Critzible's - so I built the concept around it and left some things open. I'd love to hear more about the Grail of the Phoenix and all - I ended up building a character with true faith on the legend of the guardians and the desire to find and help the sisters. I even added a tattoo and a holy text about the "Faith on the Grail of the Phoenix" :) I hope it's okay.

Hi Skull! Chess here. Here's my submission for the game: I took some liberties on his background, so please feel free to let me know if I need to change something on the story. Thanks for running it!

About the third-party stuff: I'd like my character to be picked only if the other characters on the party are not using any third-party weird thing. Just a matter of preference, please don't take personally - I respect the people designing and playing these. I'd just rather keep Harbaestus in a party of "full-Paizo"-like thingamagigs like him ;)

No, Mahb, I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to my character, posted yesterday.

@GM: Would it be okay, or even helpful, if some people want to let open the possibility of linked backgrounds? Basically, my character was "redeemed" by a certain party, so it'd be perfectly possible that another of the PCs was in such party in the past (this would give us an excuse to be partying again together). Of course, if any of the PCs weren't picked, we just would ignore this link

He didn't renounce them completely, obviously. He's true neutral, still one step from his deity, and still completely onboard with the whole gunpowder and electricity thing. You don't have to be evil to worship an evil deity.

If anyone wants to be part of the party that redeemed my character and the GM wants to link backgrounds to make party formation easier... :)

Hi Sappy! Chess here, with my submission. Harbaestus is a retired reformed villain/sidekick, turned antihero, with a backstory slightly different than my more "heroic" counterparts. He's a human gunslinger. His old age affected his strength, memory and reactions :)

Well, my profile have been filled up since I posted here :)

Here's my submission: Harbaestus is a Human Ranger from the Moonshae Isles. A natural sailor, friend of elves and with a natural hatred towards evil fey creatures, he worships the Deep Sashelas.

Harbaestus is an Urban Ranger and Divine Tracker. He figths mostly in melee - using a trident and a wooden shield - but have strong ranged capabilities via thrown weapons. By level 3, as an Urban Ranger, he will have the Trapfinding ability.

Chess here... Temporary profile for my submission. Still working on the fluff details and whatnot.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Hey guys,

I apologize in advance, but I will have to step down for a while from my activities here in the Paizo forums. It will be at least some good months before I can come back.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I hope your games continue fun!

Regards,

adsapiens / Archlich

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Heh heh yarrright dear. That should be tha next!

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

I believe we should look inside. Who knows, maybe he's even there. - says Harbaestus, smiling to Hal.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus explorers the positioning dance, slowly attracting the treant to a better position for the dwarf. He five-foot-steps (SW, this time) and again dishes his powerful attacks against the fey, spending his blessing of strength.

Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 Power attack, favored enemy
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 2) + 17 = 21 Power attack, favored enemy

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 Power attack, favored enemy
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 4) + 17 = 23 Power attack, favored enemy

Blessings used: 2/6

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

A little less hurt, Harb thanks Hal and attacks the grimstalker twice with his cold iron dwarven longhammer. As a swift, he uses his strength surge blessing to hit harder.

I added 4 extra HP from the heal because of Fey Foundling :)

Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32 Power attack, favored enemy
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (3, 2) + 17 = 22 Power attack, favored enemy

Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15 Power attack, favored enemy
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (4, 1) + 17 = 22 Power attack, favored enemy

Blessing used: 1/6

Finally, he five-foot steps diagonally towards SE.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Let's do it! - Harbaestus tells Wreck, right before moving.

The dwarf goes around the building (supposing the building is really there?) moving his short legs the quickest he can.

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 +4 if identifying a fey
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus sees fire everywhere. He's confused for seconds, before finally taking a stand to catch whoever runs from the fire.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

That thing hurt! But it's down now. - he scratches his arm - Thanks, Hal. To the ale, now?

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Please add +4 on the previous Knowledge roll to identify him, from favored enemy (for a total of 24)

Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Another +2 for spell

HP is updated

Harbaestus 5-foot-steps and full attacks.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (5, 1) + 17 = 23

Attack 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (5, 3) + 17 = 25

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Harbaestus moves towards the enemy and tries to swing at it with his longhammer. He power attacks.

Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28 Assuming it's Fey; please remove FE if needed :)
Damage: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (1, 4) + 17 = 22

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

This adventure is pretty interesting! Anyway - I will wait for the swine guy to go before I post my action.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Agreed, Hal. - says a much grimmer Harb - I'm gonna turn every single fey here upside down for this cruelty! Let's make our way to the tent, but use ya special "eyes" to inspect for survivors inside before we storm.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus goes to the gnome, and starts looking through his belongings for clues or anything useful for them.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

I'm flying back home today - please don't expect anything from me on the next days, I'll be busy getting things round :) have fun during the while guys!

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus grinds his teeth and gets ready.

This godforsaken bastard fae will feel remorse for his actions! - happy with his own terrible pun an apparently unsatiated he continued, pointing to his own immense weapon - Mates, I present you Remorse!

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

We should scare those children away from here! - says the Dwarf, reviewing his priorities.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 +2 vs fey spells and sla, +2 vs all spells and saves
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Harbaestus charges and attacks the three fey close to each other. They're his favored enemies, and he power attacks and cleaves.

Attack red: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Damage red: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (3, 3) + 17 = 23
Attack yellow: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Damage yellow: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 2) + 17 = 21
Attack green: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Damage green: 2d6 + 17 ⇒ (1, 1) + 17 = 19

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

I think the our avatars are simply bigger than the squares right? It's not like each square is 2.5 instead of 5? My speed is only 20. Can I get to any enemy of I charge? (Especially the group together)? I will yell "Leroy Jenkins" while charging if it helps

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

The Wheel :)

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Harbaestus wasn't really trusting much the nymph - he didn't particularly like fey at all - but the fact he'd got to kill some was actually paying off for his mistrust.

Eh, you only live once! - he says, full of accent, immediately drinking the vial contents - Let's see about tha cold rider mate, ye.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Not the smartest or wisest dwarf around, Harb scratched his head murmuring the words slowly. Finally he shook his head and spoke with his low and loud voice.

Who is that Cold Rider, and what is this Eye of Rapture, mate?

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

Lol! Sorry, I thought we were going for the second day of carnival :) Well, I'll assume Harbaestus slept his siesta after lunch then! Heh.

Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1

After a long night of sleep, Harb wakes up shaking his arms and yelling for an imaginary troll to let go of his little feet (his exactly words). After recomposing himself and getting back to his companions, the dwarf heard about the rumors and the letter, then quickly packs his equipment.

Don't like tha part 'bout appearance. We gotta investigate anyway tho. That carnival was already strange yestahday.
