To be frank, Hadgar's readied action is intended to block incoming attack/s that will hit (e.g attack/s that did not miss due to being equal to or higher than AC/nat 20) not attacks that fail to penetrate AC.

Yeah but ability doesn't work that way because cover has to be supported by the ground. Otherwise, Hadgar can cover someone with force screen like that all day.

I guess that make sense. Going back to the usual take 20 then unless I specify that I am going to roll for him. However, if we are outside of combat such as in a room that has already identified as safe, expect re-rolls/retries after his results are shown on the times I considered rolling a skill checks that allow retries for Hadgar.

A natural born warrior, Hadgar remains unfazed to the messy scene. Instead, he uses his mirror to peek at every corner without crossing the threshold of the narrow corridor.

He will take 10 on perception for a total of 17. If he sees nothing, he will roll until he get a high roll.

Hadgar was really doing the former rather than the latter and will be doing the former every time he step into a new room or maybe roll. I was confused by the absurd amount of time generated by the taking 20 on the skill. It should not take no more than what you stated after your response to my initial post that started it all. Glad it got clarified.

Hadgar takes out a mirror and spies the narrow passageway from every angle including the ceiling.

If that's how you rule it, for future perception checks, Hadgar will be taking 10 instead and if he did not detect anything, will roll until he gets a higher result. By that logic, he can make two every 6 seconds since each perception check is a move action.

Hadgar smiles as he points to the hidden level. Then, he walks over to Sana and deposits a obscuring mist scroll into her hand.

"In the event we are about to be bombard by arrows." Tallying a scroll from his inventory.

After that, he watches whoever moves to dismantle the trap, readying a kinetic cover to protect the disabler from an attack if it happens.

For the time being, the half-orc poke and prod at the room, testing it with his telekinesis to see if there are reaction by moving the a little of the green patches that is the source of the illumination and lifting the torch. He also pay attention to detail. (Perception (Take 20) - 27)

Btw, GM. If we are not in combat or distracting situation, Hadgar will be taking 20 on his perception check at all times whenever he moves to a new room.

Hadgar takes out his sack and moves to open the eastern side by turning the knob and pushing it aside with his telekinesis. In the event that it is open, he will block the entrance with kinetic cover.

@Sana Maybe a few scrolls of remove fear. We'll probably need them for our frontlines in case the enemy scare them away to get to the back row.

@Gimble That is disappointing. So we have 16 chances to grab em all or is it 20?

@Trutzburg As I implied in my previous post, for survivability. Emergency cash to pull out something to help us survive if we wasted all our gold for upgrades. Although only effective low-level. It becomes moot if we are high level and manage our money correctly.

@Trutzburg Vanity or emergency cash in case we need them? And day job roll is restricted to the selected three (trained craft, perform or profession) until we accumulate pp to buy a vanity that allow us to use our desire skill to earn our bucks.

@Gimble For land purchases, are we restricted to one per "session" or are they limited to the amount of pp we have?

"Not so goblin-infested now that we swept the ruins of goblin taint. Their bugbear leader and robotic invention were the only ones that pose a threat to our entire group. Others not so much."

A little. No, that's not what I meant. I thought the thread was going pretty slow (e.g every 2 days between posts) but the posting has been pretty consistent so far since we post each day. I guess me being primary mover sped that up a little. But frankly, I envied the other table's speed. It was phenomenal. I wanted to speed this up because I felt that we were lagging behind.

Hadgar moves in again only to see the bleeding, unconscious nagaji on the floor. Roaring, Hadgar lobs a shard at smug bugbear with his telekinesis to try to wipe the smile off his face.

GM pretty much sums up what I was going to post but have been unable to due to time. In addition, while in his staggered/disabled state, it doesn't prevent Hadgar from taking 5 ft step and attack even if his condition only permits him standard or move action.

Btw, if Qildar move through Hadgar and to any square adjacent to him, he would not provoke.

Bloodied, Hadgar drags himself 5 ft step diagonally and smiles at the cleric as she approaches in front of him to heal him. With great difficulty, the half-orc shifts his head toward his left towards his allies who are still on the stairs.

"Cover me."

With the last remnant of his strength, he flings another shard at Grulk with his telekinesis.

Oh, it was you. I thought it was the player playing Trutzburg. I think Trutzburg would not get flank bonus since the bugbear backed up against the wall (original GM's position). And since Sana do not want to provoke AoO as she heals Hadgar, I re-position both Sana and Trutzburg to an ideal position where both neither provoke AoO and can accomplish what they set out to do.

Hadgar pushes past Qildar and flies into the room and before the creature can react, launches a shard at the creature as a preemptive attack.

Assume in the future that the objects that he flings at his enemies comes from his sack unless stated otherwise. I am tired of elucidating where it comes from by adding the 'from the sack' clause on every post I make.

Hadgar squeezes into the passage and crawls through narrow way to the north east tower to recover the loot of blue goblin that the group missed when the ceiling trap triggered and barred the section. That finished, he crawls back to the room before automaton's room and opens it, moving back the same distance as he did from the eastern door.

Same strategy as the east door when he opens the south door. Open and moves back 15 ft from it. Position on map when he does so is updated on the map.

He will step back about 15 ft from the door after it is opened which is updated in the map. Are there any loot from the goblins that we stumbled across?

Hadgar facepalms as this is the door he sealed with furniture from the other side. After checking the goblin corpse, coup the grace the unconscious goblin and check his body too, the telekineticist ventures through the long way to the other side of the door with someone, removes the furniture and opens the door.
