Gronak puts his shoulder into the door, helping to support it as he watches the dawnflowers begin to quietly file through. He grins at the big pig sitting valiantly in the way and idly pulls a fat fish from the barrel, offering the morsel to his partner in their current crime.

Gronak keeps watch outside as all his companions enter the building. He scans the streets briefly as he follows and closes the door behind them.

Gronak ends the spell on his sword, shrouding the party again with the darkness of night. He sheaths the blade on his back, a highly inefficient method of storage, but one that seems to come naturally to the skilled warrior with magical aptitude.

The Kellid gives Ver’Yanion a single nod, entering the building unless halted by his companion.

Gronak nods and starts to head in the direction indicated, leading the way with Ver’Yanion. Noticing the possible risks posed by the dark streets late at night, he pulls his great sword.

”Shirak!” he intones clearly, immediately illuminating the sword bright as a torch.

Not hearing any smart quips or flashes of insight, Gronak flags down the nearest fisherman.

With his strong, and now a bit magically augmented, constitution, as well as plenty of time on boats on his way to the inner sea, Gronak seemed very comfortable with the trip. If not forced below, he found a clear space near the bow to relax and enjoy the view along their journey. He exited the boat at least as refreshed as his peers, greater so than some.

One hour on this fine ship will not hinder my progress!”

He turns to his companions, ”Hail friends! It has been long, but I am happy to say that I am now a Wizard.

While always willing to be violent, Gronak is rarely angry. Now Gronak is getting angry. He jumps back to his feet, moving quickly and decisively toward the sound in the corner, sword at hand.

He glares, scanning the area for what may be assaulting him.

Gronak allows the rogue to complete his work without interruption, keeping his weapon at the ready and eyes open for any movement. He sets himself up near the opening to the side room, lighting a torch if needed.

He looks around, watching for new ambushes or other indications of where to go.

Gronak flops to the ground, as gracefully as he would drop into a pile of mammoth pelts after a week of hard travel. His sword clatters to the foliaged ground beside him.

He dreams of leading his tribe to battle against the demon hordes, throwing fireballs with one hand as he swings his sword with the other.

In his years living so near the world wound, Gronak has encountered all sorts of unholy vegetation. He knows how to drop these strange trees. He starts swinging at the nearest enemy, moving his way forward.

Gronak wipes the blood from his sword and sheaths the blade as he follows the party to the statue. He watches Naiso and Ver’Yanion in rapt attention as they cast their cantrips, trying to match their hand movements and incantations as he has been learning from Aram Zey.

He nods with Ver’Yanion, ”Yes, probably illusion. Maybe something to scare off the weak minded, do you think?”

Gronak twists as the staff swings near his face, allowing the weapon to deflect off his armor. He steps up, moving to flank as he swings his sword back at the second adversary.

Gronak takes the hit to his jaw. Stunned for a moment, he recovers in short order. He spits blood on the ground at Pellius’ feet.

”You shouldn’t have done that.” He smiles as he heaves his Greatsword for a retaliatory strike.

He follows through with his blow, stepping to the far wall out of the way to let he companions move forward.

Gronak is used to stepping forward to fight shoulder to shoulder with his clanmates against demons and other unworldly horrors, but has quickly come to understand that the pathfinder’s society occasionally has different ways of dealing with threats. As his predominant goal is to learn the ways of the society and uncover new, more powerful mechanisms for dealing with his people’s abyssal threat, he is happy to sit back and perceive his companions approach. Still, he remains ready to step forward in the ways he knows well.

As the men step out of the tunnel, Gronak draws his sword from it’s sheath. He does not act aggressively, but lazily swings the blade over his shoulder as lumberjack would rest his ax while taking a break between trees. Their new ally is not fond of these individuals, but as he is distrustful of this strange beast, he does not immediately assume these men are enemies unless they chose to indicate otherwise.

Gronak climbs down, lighting a new torch of the one he tossed in has been extinguished. He pulls his sword, scanning the sewers as his allies descend.
