A nasty-looking dwarf tags along with Sgt Uther. "I'm Gilbert. I like to hurt things." Also a fighter-type. But starting out as a Monk. I hope to be able to buy Armor and Armor Spikes before too long. But, Average Monk starting wealth is only 35 gp.

"Hello, Sgt Uther. I'm glad to be here also. I believe that I'll be getting closer to our enemies than you, but, that'll only make your attacks more effective." Gilbert slams his hands together with a resounding crack.
Gilbert is a quiet dwarf. Dressed in a spiked breastplate and buckler, he carries no melee weapon, though he does have a composite longbow on his back. He enjoys combat, and loves to isolate the leader of any group of enemies. He runs into combat, grapples his foes, and crushes them to death. When asked of his past, all he currently will say is that the monastery life was not for him.
Additional Flavor: Gilbert is a hulking brute, almost as wide as he is tall. The dwarf wears spiked scale mail and a buckler, but carries no weapon in his hand. When he speaks it is with an orcish accent. He'll tell you that he grew up among the orcs in Belzken, but his manners seem to belie that. Generally, his hood is covering his face, and his visage is not at all pleasant to look at with multiple scars, and the seeming misplacement of his eyes and nose.
Gilbert was born near the Worldwound. His father a cleric and his mother a paladin. Something of the Worldwound must have affected his birth, for his face is misshapen. Both parents were ashamed of his odd looks and the unhelpful comments of others. So, they left the crusade and moved to the border of Belzken in order to provide a safer environment for their son and, possibly to understand why this had happened to them. Gilbert was a hardy child, but did not take to much of the religiosity of his parents. Instead he learned from an order of monks how to move and how to defend himself. He liked how they were accepting of his handicap and really tried to embrace their philosophy. Still, not as wise as the other adepts, he chose an unusual path, but one that was known of around Belzken, that of the Luchidore.
