Being blind, pretty much prevents ranged attacks as a whole. Now, many GMs are lenient and allow a given that the rest of the party can communicate the square, so 50%. As for our characters specifically (Katsu and I), we have blindsight 30ft so ranged attacks within are fine.

Gaellin unslings a mini barrel from his back and begins refilling his waterskin.

Gaellin wakes and sits up with a gasp, also reaching for his waterskin. He upturns the waterskin as he stands up. After taking a step back, he appears to empty the contents. "It's empty? Well now I'm much less excited to be alive."

Gaellin wanders in and up to the boat using his guiding stick to find these boats everyone's been talking about. "Huh, sounds like wood." After a moment of tapping it, he hops inside the close boat.
