Bring any questions you have here ok?

It is another typical day in the world you live in. The smart kids get the good grades, the jocks get all the girls, and the punks are still causing all the trouble. All in all pretty boring.

The first day of game will focus on introduction of your character along with a brief description of your talents. You are all classmates for the time being so enjoy it. WHILE IT LASTS MUAHAHAHAHAAHA! Im sorry did I say that out loud? Pay no heed to it. *innocent GM face activate.*

Hello everyone. My name is GM Dormin. I am looking for some new players to take part in a little fun game that I am building that involves each player to actually make 2 characters. One character will interact in a "reality" like ours. They will go to school, participate in sports and extra after school activities. The setting would be high school, just for the laughs. HOWEVER what you are in this world will determine what you are in the "dream reality" where the fantasy characters will be.

How this will work is you can be ANY of the fallowing:
we will begin at level 1 and experience will be story based.

Science nerd
Environmentalist (basically a hippy)
Sportsman/woman (depending on position and sport you will actually be given a different class.)
Musician of any musical device of your choice
Martial artist (of any kind, depending on which martial art you take it will change your class.)
Artist
Carpenter
Punk (basically a trouble maker)
(if you think of something that DOESN'T fall into any of these, just ask and I will most likely say "seuuureeee")

As your character progresses through the "Dream" so will your character progress in "Reality" After a while you will find that you are quickly progressing over your peers over the specific things you do.

I will (depending on what you are in reality) GIVE you, your class, abilities, race is up to you to decide.

Warning: This kind of game is one you need to keep kinda...open minded. If you are the type of person who likes having EVERYTHING BY THE RULES, turn and run back to some other wimpy GM that will fallow every little rule. I bend the rules ever so slightly to make sense to me. If you want to know some of the house rules, here they are.

House rules:
I don't like the "Take 10" or "Take 20" system. I don't put my players into situations that "Oh if I don't make a 5 I die". Unless you are given a class that specifically says they are allowed to do this, you are not allowed to "Take" anything. You gotta earn your dice rolls. It takes the same amount of time to roll the dern things as it takes to say "no I don't wanna roll so I will take 10". If I have to roll everything for you, you have to roll everything for me. Simple as that.

IF YOU ROLL A NAT ONE! DO NOT ROLL TO SEE IF YOU FUMBLE! this makes life easy on the player. I don't like watching players fall into there own swords and kill themselves thank you.

I will be bringing in a SUB-GM to assist me in the event that I cannot continue the story for some degree of time.

That about it.

If I do not see anyone wanting to do this I won't feel bad. I am currently GM-ing 3 other crazy Homebrews right now.

Let it be known if you do not have your character sheet done. I will need you to finish them. I am sorry for the delay. I wanted my three day weekend.

The day is June 5th 1944... The day before the 2nd great war begins for the United States. No more needs to be said. The only question remains...do we jump?

The sun hangs high over the airfields of England. Troopers run around caring whatever gear they have. All soldiers, all trained, all ready. All you can hear is a garble of mess as the small squad of hero's sits in their own corner of the airfield, fully packed up ready to fly, weapons in hand and wings on their uniforms. Everyone is called to general assembly.

Major Olvesky: An older man in uniform stands on top of a Viper made Jeep. It may have been Ford that gave the army the jeep but it was Viper who invented them. FALL IN!!!! FALL IN BOYS! After a moment pause he speaks up again. English channel is blocked up with fog! NO JUMP TONIGHT! I SAY AGAIN! NO! JUMP! TONIGHT! Gather your gear and report back to barracks.

Most of the soldiers make a quiet aww to themselves. They were ready to fight. Everyone hated the waiting. The units started to disperse back to their respective squad barracks.

Thank you for everyone who has shown interest. I cannot believe how many people were interested in this kind of a game.

character:
Obviously...you all will be human. HOWEVER ethnicity will be a fun issue. You can chose to be ANY of the fallowing ethnicity.
American - consider this the half elf like setting, you can do whatever you want with this. You do not however get a free language because of this.
English - No free language but you are allowed to talk in a funny accent! Scottish - You can have Gaelic language (which you will never use...) Welsh - speeka da welsh
Australian - more funny accents
German - You will have German language for free because you left the motherland before the war began and never went back.
Italian - You can speak Italian (same as the Germans can)
French - Same as the others...
Russian...
yarg...um...*insert other nations I am forgetting off the top of my head*
If you have any fun requests about this...just assume I will say yes to it...this part is free game.

Basically everyone gets English...DUH...so just have fun with this I really don't care what you do about this part.

weapons:
For the sake of my sanity, these weapons will be available to you for this first jump. NOTHING MORE! If you survive the first fight. Then we can start talking about other stuff

All weapons will have a 18-20 crit with X3 damage (Just to keep my life a little less hectic)

Pistols - 1d4 damage - range 40 ft (any further and you will take penalties by distance)
M1911 .45 Standard issue pistol - 7 round magazine
.38 special revolver - 6 shots (obviously)

Light Machine guns - 1d6 - range 50ft (fires 3 round burst for every attack, each bullet will be rolled as separate attacks.)
Thompson sub machine gun - 20 round stick mag (no drum mags yet)
"Grease Gun" - range 50ft - 30 round stick mag

Battle rifles - 1d8 damage
M1 Garand - range 100ft - 8 round clip
M1 Carbine - range 100ft - 15 or 30 round magazine

Medium Machine gun - 1d10 - range 100ft - (fires 3 round burst for every attack, each bullet will be rolled as separate attacks.)
Browning Automatic Rifle - 30 round magazine

Good day to all. My name is Dormin. I have found that I like turning actual historical events into games, or video games into PbP games.

I am currently looking for interest for a World War 2 game. I am more then sure that this has been done before but by the gods I want to throw my hat into the game.

setting of game:
During the planning of the D-Day invasion, a small band of paratroopers were chosen to be the first to touch French soil. These were "The Pathfinders" (Ironic right? xD) The mission was simple. They had 30 minutes to set up a light, and radio transmitter. The purpose, give the rest of the airborne a secure landing zone for the rest of the invasion. We are all fermiliar with the 82nd Airborne and how they won battles wherever they jumped. They would have never made it to the D-Day invasion without the Pathfinders. Will you answer the call?

I am currently working on a weapons system and what not. I take into account how much gear that a trooper is given, what weapons they COULD have (No you cannot jump out of an airplane with a bazooka...you would not fit through the door...) I will give more detail about that if there is any interest at all in this crazy homebrew.

About the GM:
I am a zaney kinda guy but I do change the rules just a little. I am NOT a lawful good GM. I do not just change the rules. I am fair, and you can ask me ANY question. I am (for the most part) Willing to work with you to come to some form of agreement. I really am a nice guy. Ask me ANYTHING you need to know.

House Rules I enforce:
I DO NOT LIKE THE TAKE 10/20 SYSTEM! I will NOT let you just TAKE 10 and guess if you succeed or not. That is just a gamer who is too lazy to do this *drop a die...look at it*.... I like my players to roll for stuff. Even the most careful person in the world will have bad things happen to them. Unless you can produce me a CLASS RULE (like the level x bard) that is allowed to take 10/20 once or however many times a day then you are not allowed to take 10/20 in my game.

Secondly, I do not like the fumble rule. If you get a natural 1 and miss your target...you miss. You do not need to roll to see if your weapon explodes or something crazy like that...It causes contention and anguish. I feel that if I take away something, I should give something back.

I will start the game at level 1 or 2 based on popular vote of the players. I am hoping to get about 6 players (Gender is NOT an issue...I will allow woman soldiers in this fight xD JUST BECAUSE I CAN!)

If there are any questions, ask in here or PM me. Either is fine.

It is the 12th year of the reign of king Trion Gunray, a fair and benevolent man who has made many laws that better his people. During the reign of the previous king, an island was discovered off the coast of the great port city of Arcadia. Scout parties have been sent but no one has returned. King Gunray, being man he is, has given all of the people in his kingdom who have committed a crime that is punishable by death, to have a chance at life on this island.

There are many stories about the Island. Some say it is haunted by spirits of the ancients. Some people say it is home to things that are far beyond the comprehension of mortals, and should be left alone. But the kings word is law. Everyone of the kingdom accepted this and the law was passed.

Our hero's begin there adventure as they were convicted, some wrongly, of a crime punishable by death and are sentenced to the Island. They travel, by means of the Imperal Frigete "Calamity", one of the finest vessels in the fleet. It is a clear day with perfect blue skies. The skies however are empty of birds, curious. The captain, a tall, elderly looking gentlemen in royal uniform calls for the prisoners to be brought to the deck, which they are. After they are lined up he begins speaking.

Captain: By Decree of the High King Trion Gunray, you all have been sentenced to the Island. As per his majesties orders...all the supplies that you were arrested with will be returned to you now. Several sailors push a single crate up to each of the prisoners. These crates contain all of their belongings, armor and weapons. You will be given one longboat to make it to shore. My job is to make sure you get to the Island. Try to head out into open water and you will be destroyed. Besides, it is 4 days back to Arcadia with the wind at your back. As we know. That is not the case. You will die of thirst before you make it back. Your only hope of survival is to find water on the island.

After his small speech there is a call from the sailor up in the crows nest.

Crows Nest: CAPTAIN! REEF UP AHEAD!

Captain: Fix course and continue to the island Lieutenant.... Now I would prepare yourselves if I were you prisoners. You will be sent as soon as you are ready. The captain walks back to the wheel of the ship.

At this time the RP phase has begun. Begin talking among each other, your going to be together for a while.

Bring all of your concerns here from now on.

Welcome, mighty champions. I am GM Dormin. I will be running something of a homebrew/experimental campaign inspired by shadow of the colossus. Every fight is a massive Boss fight. Some special rules and conditions will be set up to give the feel of the Colossus game. I am looking for a 4-5 player party who would be interested.

Rules: You must be medium sized or smaller
Any class is allowed though some specifics may be changed.
I do not plan on making a map because, well, there is only one enemy to fight, and most of the time you will be right under or on said enemy so I do not see a point to it. (Subject to change)
Seeing that this will be a 4-5 v 1 battle the "colossi" are going to be pretty powerful and have some abilities that may not exactly be part of the pathfinder society. I will do my best to keep within the rules but with this, I may need to veer off just a bit. The "colossi" will not be from the game. I will be building each Colossi as if I was making a charecter I would play, so it may take some time between battles while I make the next one.
If you have any questions please ask. I will work with you if you just ask.
Money will be normal and you may build your champions any way you see fit.
The Colossi (as per the game) Will have weak spots you must find and hit in order to bring them down.
Start at level 7. The first beast will be level 10-12 as a test run. If he is too powerful for the 4-5 champions then I will nerf him.

AND THATS IT, pretty easy yes? I try to make life simple for my players. Again if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
