Smiling, Flunk offers his business card to Grakcha. "This will be quick, we promise. We're simply looking to carve out a route through these parts, and we happened upon your camp. You look like you've been through a lot. How about we relax, and you tell us about it over a bottle?" He pops open his briefcase and pulls out the bottle of gin provided by Benarry.

I don't know if I missed something, but how did Edogawa know those vials were Elixirs of Life? I don't see a spoiler for them.

Well, it happened that this particular scenario is very skill heavy, and leans particularly towards Athletics/Survival/Wilderness-related lore. We can't expect an adventurer to be prepared for absolutely every scenario, can we? .. Can we? :)

The way I see it is at least we do have companions in the party who can make these checks. I am sure we will all have a time to shine at one point or another.

"Hmm, good call," the goblin agrees about the hazard, pointing out several areas where water has already started trickling.

Then he has a look at the cliff face.

Afterwards, he offers his own 'length' of rope to Edogawa. "Here, with both ropes combined, perhaps we can try to fashion a bridge?"

Clearing his throat abruptly, Flunk walks over and takes a seat next to the halfling and elf. "Say, Gavin, and .. Tavin?" He snickers. "A fun coincidence. How about a game of cards?"

"It is indeed quite cold, but at least you are well prepared. I do see some room for improvement, though." Flunk remarks with a glance at Sarevi's gear. He looks to the rest of the party, "Might any of you know how she can tie better knots?"

Flunk takes a look around the campsite, looking for, as always, potential clients. He pauses only to take notice of the fire itself, a mischievous laugh rising up out of him.

Flunk approaches Sarevi Tilernos, just because. He offers a handshake and - you guessed it - a card. "Flunk Wright, Esquire. Good evening. What brings you to the mountains?"

Before departing, Flunk offers his business card to Guide. "Always the possibility of something going horribly wrong at a funeral. I'm reminded of my late cousin Blount, whose heart condition often made it appear as though he wasn't living, he'd be so still at times. That... was an interesting wake," he winks.

On the way there, Flunk also shares what he recalls about the orcs. "Despite a well‑earned reputation for ferocity, the Shattered Fang orcs are also known for keeping oaths they have sworn on their ancestors. If one can earn such an oath from a member of the tribe, they can be reliably negotiated with."

"Say, Karla, what can you tell us of the dangers of the Menador? I'd heard of orc tribes, but what else can we expect?" Flunk asks, pulling an overcoat out of the paper package and throwing it over his suit jacket.

A well-dressed goblin wearing a navy three piece suit gets up for a bar stool, intrigued at the unusual yet direct request. He carries a black briefcase, the contents bulging and clearly testing the strength of the latch. He makes his way over to Edogawa, adjusts his tie, and offers his business card. "Flunk Wright, Esquire. If you find yourself in need of legal help - perhaps a suit against one of these dreaded, unwanted healers? - I'm your guy."

He looks over at Tavin and Gavin, and also offers them cards. "And the offer is extended to you two, as well." Everyone gets a card. Very business-like.

Yet the small hint of fire red which occasionally sparks from deep within Flunk's eyes seem to hint that there might just be more to the lawyer-goblin.

Flunk too follows along with the others. "I had a client whose father had brought back a relic from the Mwangi and donated it to this museum. It turned out the device was able to somehow reanimate corpses. A troubling lawsuit that lead to some... unfortunate events in this museum, he told me."

Frustrated he wasn't able to learn anything on his own, Flunk listens in closely as the rest of the party explains their findings. He switches his drab grey tie with a more punchy red velvety one, because why not? Then he makes for the other lawyer.

Flunk nods along as Scratch tells him all he needs to know. "Well, there lies the evidence. This was indeed a relic from the days of the Black Echelon. It is too bad we cannot bring it back, as I'm sure Benarry would have loved to see it."

"How unusually clean," the goblin surmises before unfurling the rug, displaying the two crying angel pendants for all to see.

"I'm not much of an actor, but perhaps I can coax it with some interesting words." Flunk ponders. "How about this?" He takes out a stack of business cards and starts performing some card tricks while talking through his latest court successes. "The trick is to shout Objection! at just the right moment, and throw your hand out like so..."

Flunk runs his finger along the burn marks, taking them away to sniff them. "My client indicated some sort of blobby amalgamation of body parts was once seen on this ship. Oh, and it breathes fire. But that's okay, because ME LOVE FIRE!"

The lawyer suddenly stops, surprised with himself, and notices the topmost button of his shirt had come undone. He fixes that. "My apologies. Anyway, let's move along and see what lies ahead. Carefully, of course."

"The value of documentation, huh," a knowing smirk forms on Flunk's face as he pops open his briefcase, his trove of legal documents spilling out. "I know a thing or two about that, Miss Westyr. Indeed, if it happened, best to record it, I say!"

"Freedom, you say?" Flunk throws down his briefcase, pops it open, and takes out a 700-page codex titled Chains and Chances. He riffles through the documents and suddenly throws his finger down a specific line. "You'll see here in Line 3, Subsection XVII of Paragraph 3, Section 22, it is argued that even constructs, automatons, the fey, and even, yes, devils, cannot indiscriminately be assumed to be evil. Indeed, suspicion is not enough to toss them in and lock them up. Come, Mister Credence, there's no need to argue any further. You have made your point. It's right here." He tosses the document at the halfling.

Flunk doesn't resist, and instead eagerly follows Scratch. "I was definitely eyeing those two. I might be able to help with their argument, and perhaps find a new client or two at the same time."

He grabs two shots of something strong-smelling from the bar, and creates a small spark with his fingers to set the alcohol alight. "Greetings, Mister Kline, and Mister Credence. There is no need for this to devolve into fist swinging, or worse. Let's settle this the right way. With some good old fashioned diplomacy, of course." He smiles, offering the fiery shots to the two. "What seems to be the problem?"

"Ah, Mister Steeltoe is here too," Flunk enters the party, with suit and tie, of course. After, he pops open his briefcase and starts passing out his business card to anyone else who doesn't have it, which is pretty much everyone. "You should try Steeltoe's skunk jerky. It may go well with that punch. While more of a traveling snack, but why not make this banquet feel like an adventure of its own? It is the Pathfinder Society after all!" The goblin winks.

Sitting by the water just outside Absalom's courthouse, Flunk flips the invitation between his hands. He stares at the words closely enough - so close it might've looked like he was attempting to read a language he did not understand.

"Where there's initiates, there's bound to be mistakes," he mutters in suspicion. "I should know." He flips open one latch of his overstuffed briefcase, and the documents inside spill out. The goblin grumbles, flames in his eyes. He holds his anger back, watching the wind toss the documents out over the mooring, sighing heavily.

Flunk looks down at the invitation once more and promptly shuts his briefcase, tightens his tie, and turns to head to the celebration.
