Just to speed things up. Nipper is only going to act in the gunnery phase. He'll man the main turret, unless we need the flak to prevent a torpedo and no one else can fire the second weapon.

Honestly, it might run cleaner if we can't switch roles mid fight and can only swap hats between conflicts.

I'm sure that'll be fine. I'm not familiar enough with how space combat normally plays out to have a real strong opinion on it.

Though it seems like it would prevent us from being able to get into a ship's blind spot, or to 'choose' what weapon it uses against us. Taking turns with a move+shoot means that everybody should always be able to use their strongest weapons, right?

Pretty sure all weapons only fire in their arc, with the exception of turrets, which can fire in any arc.

@Paeon: Intimidate and diplomacy both do the same thing, try to make the opponent more friendly. Intimidate just makes them not like you after the effect wears off. Don't think they stack.

@BD: Ya, Nipper is still short a language. Any suggestions? Otherwise, I'll probably just pick one at random.

RE: Ship roles: Ed being the captain is pretty hilarious, if a little sub-optimal, from what I gather, he could also fill in as magic officer as needed. It seems like for ship combat, pilot and gunner are the only two real dedicated positions and other players can bounce around other stations. Without a pilot we can't even move. Nipper doesn't have any ranks in piloting, but I guess will fill either the gunner or pilot role, just don't expect much.

@BD: Never going to say no to more options, but I've got more skills than I know what to do with already. Thinking about taking paranormal investigator more the flavour of a corporate agent that in dabbles in conspiracy theories in his down time.

Decided to just stick envoy, but rebuild it to pack a bit more punch.
- Swapping 1st level feat from improved initiative to long arms specialization.
- Swapping 1st skill expertise from intimidate to bluff.
- Swapping Inspiring Boost to Clever Feint

- Taking weapon specialization(long arms) as 3rd level feat.
- Taking Convincing Liar expertise talent

As far as I recall, Nipper has no clue about Clara-247 and his initial mission was to find out what happened to the Acreon's crew, which I believe are all accounted for now. So he would be down to just bail.

@BD: I take it that when the garglefargle phased through the wall, it left its corpse clothes behind?

More curious than is probably good for him, Nipper chances fate and moves to investigate the now discarded corpse.

@BD: Looking at your tracker, I think it should be 7 stam recovered to both Ed and Startoad, not 14 to Startoad, the ability can only be used once per person, per short rest, so it doesn't stack.

After scrolling through the database, Fingernipper turns back to the rest of the party, "I can't quite read this, but it does share some similar root structures to languages I'm more familiar with. Near as I can tell this was a control room for a bunch of subsystems for some larger installation. Maybe even for a ship. What that was or where it is now, who knows, but what I do know is that this place is seriously old."
