Axebeak Animal Companion
Ok, changing the bird's action, now that the true height becomes clear! Fairbeaks, sees Theo rising into the air, and his dark beady eyes scan the surrounding cliffs... as if pondering some long lost memory of flight. With a agitated squawk, he races off to the right, back where the cliff is starting to erode, leaving rubble and rocks to help with the ascent. He uses his powerful beak, almost like an extra appendage, as his talons scrabble at the rocks, and he grabs hold of higher ground with his beak, pulling himself up as he goes! Climb, accelerated: 1d20 + 5 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 5 = 18 The strange technique makes quick work of the decaying slope, and he easily makes the top, and starts towards the fire once more. 50' of movement to the cliff, then 80' to get up, with 30' to spare to move a bit at the top!
Axebeak Animal Companion
Fairbeaks immediately turns on the new threat, giving an angry squawk, as he lashes out at it with his powerful beak. Full attack. If Theo is moving his way, he will 5' step back towards the dwarf. If Theo is already there, he will 5' forward, working around to the flank.

Fairbeaks seems happy to see Theo, though still obviously irritated by the fog obscuring the prey. In response to an almost imperceptible signal from the dwarf, he too goes into stalking mode, crouching ready to pounce as soon as their quarry reveals itself. Fairbeaks crouches, like some land-bound bird of prey, eyes fixed on the giants up ahead, ready to leap into action, his entire form tense from excitement. hmm... Fairbeaks has moved an awful long distance... Grapple moving usually only allows half speed , yes? Or just a fast lobster? Fairbeaks stops trying to bite the thing, as he begins to panic. He was not a fish!

Fairbeaks, still covered in rock dust, squawks in annoyance, as his preening is interrupted, but quickly darts after Theo... Though for the tall bird, that is little more than a few steps. Heh... the bird is 3x faster than me! =) Single move, in defense mode if anything attacks!
Axebeak Animal Companion
Fairbeaks seems more concerned with the cavern than even Theo. The large bird's ancestors may once of knew how to fly, but he certainly did not... and moving, unstable, ground was not at all to the axebeak's liking! He squawks loudly in irritation. The bird doesn't coordinate at all, its entire focus on getting itself somewhere safe, as it leaps from one surface to the next, its stubby vestigial wings flapping furiously, as if he's trying to remember how his ancestors once did it. He's not helping, every bird for itself!

On command from Theo, Fairbeaks, moves around, and snaps at the skeletal creature with his powerful beak. Though the bird doesn't seem as excited by the process as usual, given the fact it has no tasty bits for to enjoy afterwards. bite, PA, bard, flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 2 + 2 = 31, for 2d6 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 14 + 2 = 21 damage.

Fairbeaks, for his part, is noticeably restless, his useless vestigal wings flapping in irritation, and his head constantly jerking around to look at the latest chaotic event nearby. When Theo calls for him to follow, and jump down to the new location below, he seems reluctant for a moment, then a bit of rock exploding nearby seems to spur him on, and he leaps and clambers his way after the dwarf. Fairbeaks is quite shocked to suddenly find himself ... well, not where he was. He lets out a loud squawk of displeasure, the shrill sound echoing off the rocky outcroppings, as he looks around to figure out where the dwarf went. Getting his bearings, he starts bounding over the stones in that direction. The axe beak might not be able to fly, but running... it was made for that! If he can run, then he will do so, covering 200'

Finally free of its annoying burden, Fairbeaks gives a relieved squawk. He immediately tries to descend on the newest foe, but can't seem to get its footing in the water, despite losing the dwarf. Swim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 With another aggrieved sound, it turns to snap his powerful beak at the new foe beside Theo from where it is. bite, PA, bard: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 2 = 11, for 2d6 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 14 + 2 = 24 damage. But everything about this place is clearly throwing the giant bird off... and it has no better luck! Sheesh, 2 of them?

Fairbeaks is not enjoying the water. Despite the fact it barely reaches his belly, it seems to be hindering far more than expected! Though, the fact that Theo has clambered onto his back, appears to annoy him even more! Clearly he does not appreciate being used as a pack animal. He tries to pluck the veela out of the water, like it were some sort of tasty fish. Bite (magic) vs red, PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12, for 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (4, 6) + 14 = 24 He has little luck, too distracted by the water, and the unwanted rider!

Fairbeaks lets out a confused cry, as the frosty breath encompasses everyone, not quite sure what to make of it. Still, he comes out of it relatively unscathed, and itching for a fight! Finally given the command to hunt, he wastes to time, as his long legs pick their way through the icy waters, towards the nearest foe. He is not put off by its height, and perhaps is a little motivated somewhere in his hindbrain by flight he has long since lost. He leaps into the air, trying to snap the creature out of the sky. Only need to get 5' vertical (DC 20!), to be in reach, so am assuming he can attempt this...

Fairbeaks lets out a loud squawk of challenge, as he sees the two flying drakes off in the distance. The axebeak seems eager to leap to the fray, waiting for Theo's command! GM: Generally, Fairbeaks will be under the Guard command. So if anything attacks Theo, before the dwarf's turn, the axebeak will go on the offensive early... otherwise yes, he delays 'til Theo gives him a command! =)

As the creature reaches out and touches him, Fairbeaks lets out a pained shriek. The game wasn't fun anymore! He lashes out instinctively at the thing, carefully stepping backwards, eyes fixed on the thing, in case it tries to hit him again... CMB to distract: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Axebeak Animal Companion
Fairbeaks lets out a long aggravated sound, as Theo tries to get him to not actually attack the strange creature, but instead just play with it. Still, playing with one's food seems within his grasp, and he leaps into the room, stubby flightless wings extended, as it bounds towards the spirit, before darting to the side at the last second. CMB to Distract: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 The large bird seems to be enjoying the strange new game.

Fairbeaks, for his part, pays no attention to the others, nor does he care what they're talking about. Until his smelly friend calls for him, he spends his time trying to figure out if the strange flying gargoyle creatures are edible or not... his strong beak trying to peck and snap its way through their tough hide to the juicy pits that usually are hiding at the center.
Axebeak Animal Companion
Fairbeaks' squawks in response to Theo's command, as he shifts sllightly trying to find an opening... eventually he sees it, and his powerful beak snaps at the giant stone creature, like he's trying to chip off bits of rock. 5' step, so he's flanking with Theo, Hector, and Alden, then single attack bite vs elemental, flank, bard: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 + 2 = 17, for 2d6 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1, 5) + 14 + 2 = 22 damage (minus DR).

Not enough to trigger the readied action? Alrighty then! Fairbeaks lets out a loud, aggravated Squawk as its target seems to stop early. Hearing Theo's new command, he immediately breaks out across the field to the right, in long loping strides that cover the ground surprisingly quickly. He circles completely around the ruins on that side, coming at the huge elemental from the far side, opposite the dwarf. Double move (100') to flanking position
Axebeak Animal Companion
Fairbeaks, about to race after Theo, suddenly halts, his whole body quivering, stubby vestigal wings flapping in irritation. Clearly he wants nothing more than to race off to battle, but apparently was told to stand fast. He seems to almost be crouching, neck extended, eyes glued to the elemental as it tracks its progress. Fairbeaks stands ready, to charge that same elemental, once it gets within range of Theo. The axebeak has 10' reach readied action:
