Okay, so I'm making a MoMS for a game, and focusing on Crane and Boar Style at the moment. So I've got all three Crane style feats, and the base Boar Style. Let's say I'm in Crane Style, fighting defensively. An enemy attacks me, I deflect the attack (it misses), which gives me an attack of opportunity. I hit the attack, then get to make another unarmed strike on my turn, which also hits. So I've hit the enemy with two unarmed strikes in one round, right? Does that proc the 2d6 rend damage from Boar Style? Edit: Also just realized that this should be in a different section of the boards, sorry!
Well, I'd want to use a Large-sized minotaur double crossbow if possible, but that'd be a lot of penalties. -2 penalty for using it, and a -2 penalty for it being Large-sized on a medium-sized character. I can masterwork it easily, so that's a +1 bonus, but I'm not sure how accurate I'll be... +5 BAB, +4 or 5 Dex mod, +1 Weapon Focus, and +1 for being Masterworked for a total of either +11 or +12 attack bonus, -4 for penalties...That'll leave me with a +8 to hit, and a damage of 2d6 + Dex mod per bolt, two bolts per attack. I was also thinking of putting one of the elemental enchantments on it, like Frost, so it's looking like a total damage per bolt of 2d6 + 4 or 5, +1d6 frost damage, with a +8 attack roll (+9 if I'm within 30 ft of the target, due to Point-Blank Shot).
Hm...Maybe I should start with a medium one, and just see if I can up the size later on, since the DM gave me the equivalent of Gunsmithing, but with crossbows. I need to actually make the sheet first, so I can check my numbers...I wasn't planning on using Deadly Aim, though. If I do, it wouldn't be for a while. Edit: I was also gonna take Signature Deed for the Touch AC thing Bolt Ace gets once I hit level 11. That way, I can always use it without expending grit.
I'm particularly tempted to use a Large-sized Minotaur Double. =P I'm just wondering if I can take the hit penalties for doing so and still hit reliably...We start at level 5, with 10,500 starting gold, on a 25-point buy. So that's a BAB of +5, a Dexterity mod of...probably at least +4 or +5. I'll more than likely go human or tiefling/aasimar, and I get a bonus feat at level 4, so I'm sure I can take Precise Shot or Weapon Focus.
Well, he actually approved the Minotaur Double Crossbow, so...woot! Also, I just realized how stupid it could get past level 11 if you dual-wielded Minotaur Doubles with Bolt Ace's "target touch AC" bit, assuming you got Signature Deed for it. You'd have to take GWF and Improved GWF, but...If I'm doing my math correctly, by that point, you'd get 3 attacks with the main weapon, and 2 attacks with the off-hand, albeit at a penalty. Due to targeting touch AC, it'd be a good deal easier to hit most enemies, as well...
Well, I talked with the DM. He's letting me get proficiency with all crossbows in exchange for losing gun proficiency, and it's likely he'll let me lose gunsmithing in exchange for getting Rapid Reload as a bonus feat. I'll be using a large-sized heavy crossbow. It's not optimal, but it's GREAT for flavor. Also, he doesn't allow third-party stuff, so Lightning Switch is a no-go.

...Good point, actually. I forgot that it takes two hands to reload. XP Well, I'd still like to use at least one heavy crossbow. I just have the image in my head of this one big-ass crossbow. If I could get away with it, I'd use a large-sized one. =P
Right, I'm back...again. This time, I'm joining up with a 3-person group for another round of PF. I wanted to try using a Gunslinger, but I wanted to use the Bolt Ace in particular. I've asked my DM if he'll allow me to remove the Gunsmithing ability in exchange for either an early level version of Rapid Reload (or Rapid Reload as a bonus feat), or proficiency with all crossbows, since it seems like the class should have that anyway. The idea I wanted to try was a Bolt Ace using one (or two!) heavy crossbows, though the idea of using a double crossbow past level 10 or so isn't something I'd mind trying. It just doesn't seem like it's really doable until level 11 or so, due to BAB and the number of attacks you can get. So far, I know that Rapid Reload and Crossbow Mastery are musts, since it takes too long to reload the heavy crossbow without those. If I make a human, I can take Rapid Reload as a bonus feat, Point-Blank Shot as a level 1 feat, Rapid Shot for a level 3 feat, and Crossbow Mastery at level 5. That way, it'd be a free action to reload (regardless of the type used, according to the feat.) The issue with using two of the things is that I'd be taking a rather hefty penalty to hit... Might I get some input/assistance with this? I sort of pictured the character as being a mute woman found in a bar before she joins the party, and one with a good potential for damage/ CC (namely, pinning some poor bastard to a wall. =P ) (Also, I know that longbows are more or less better in every way, so please don't tell me that.)

"Oh, it's okay Horgus. We'll make sure nothing happens to you, right? So let's see...I guess if this is what we found here...We can move on, right? And now I get to flip all around and show you guys what I can really do!" She explains to the group, clearly excited.

Elmae grins, unable to hide the fact that she's pleased with her feat. She grips the rope and yanks as hard as she is able, aiming to dislodge her starknife. "Thank you! I do my best to keep myself up to par, or I could get out of shape. I have to keep up with my teachers, after all!" She strides over to Horgus and pats him on the shoulder gently. "Sorry about that, Sir Horgus, but we could really use this stuff, don't you think? I mean, if you get hurt or something, there's some useful things in there...at least, I think so. There's food, at least!"

Ranged attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Elmae attempts to tie a portion of her remaining silk rope around the center grip of her starknife, lining up a shot as she searches for what she believes is a decent crack. "Here...we...go!" she starts, flinging the weapon at the cliff wall. She takes a good hard look at the wall before making any additional actions, unsure of whether it stuck or not.

I wonder, actually...I wonder if Elmae could loop one end of the rope to the center (the grip) of her starknife, make a ranged attack with it to see if she can get it into a crevice/crack, and climb that. =p

Elmae winced in pain as the maggot attacked and drew blood from her arm, gently rubbing the wound with her other hand. With the maggot dead, she was free to retrieve her starknife, but ugh... "That was the biggest...the biggest bug I've ever seen!" she jokes, giving an apologetic scratch of her head towards Aravashnial, having only partially forgotten that he was tied to her in the last scuffle, not to mention that he didn't seem to be the most physically able elf in the world. Still cradling her wound, she speaks up again. "Yeah, Horgus, there might be something spoooooookyyyyyy down here! You should stay close to us!"

I don't think she can do an Acrobatics check or anything, due to having Aravashnial tied to her like he is. I kind of forgot that she only has one starknife at the moment...Okay, I've got this. On the SRD, it says that unarmed strikes count as light weapons, and that Weapon Finesse does apply to them...then there's a -4 penalty for not being proficient with them...and a +2 from the charge. So that should be a +2 total for this. Elmae instinctively reached for her belt, and it was then that she realized her blunder. "Ah...Uh-oh..." she gasped, adopting an embarrassed smile. "Well, when you're out of options...Improvise! Aravashnial, get ready to run!" After he has a bit of time to prepare himself, she charges forward, unleashing a mighty kick when she reaches the maggot!... Unfortunately, her body was more of a work of art, not a physical weapon, and she nearly trips upon reaching her target. "And the crowd goes...wild?" she gulps, not looking forward to what might come next. Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

"Whoa, Lily! You should join the troupe if you can aim like that! Althoooough...you should add a little bit of flair to it! You know, some pizzazz!" She gives a small tug on the rope so Aravashnial knows she's about to move, and she does just that, moving out of the group towards the south and then southeast to make it easier for her to aim. She places a single finger in the center of the starknife, rapidly twisting her hand and maneuvering the starknife between all five of them, before switching hands once, twice, four times! She spins the weapon rapidly on the top of her index finger, tosses it into the air, and finally throws it at the maggot after catching, taking a deep bow afterwards. "See? Pizzazz! It always gets the crowd heated up!" Ranged attack on the remaining maggot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22
There's an extra +1 on both of those due to Point-Blank Shot's effect. She's moving 10 ft south, then to the adjacent square to the southeast of that one, and throwing the starknife at the maggot. Also, I'm Mira on R20, so when you get a chance, can you give control so I can move the token and put in my HP?

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 The pale witch takes the time to listen to Rikael, making a series of gestures to her familiar, who happens to be poking her head out of her robes at the moment. Yh'ari begins eying the surroundings and the trail of blood, while Ran sniffs frantically. At the mention of the soul trapped in the gem, however, Yh'ari stops dead in her tracks, looking dead in Rikael's eyes. Her voice grew no louder than normal, barely above a whisper, but there was a ferocity to it that had only just surfaced. "Trapped in a gem?! If there was ever a damnable...You freed it, correct?" She stared at the target of her questions with a piercing gaze, though it was fairly obvious what answer she expected.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 As the group seems to get adjusted to their formation, Elmae takes a look around the cavern, her darkvision (luckily) letting her see easily even in such darkness. Amidst the bickering, she can't help but feel rather awkward, to the point where she attempts to break the ice between the trio. "So um...What do all three of you do? I mean...we're down here now, but what about before that? Were you all just kind of celebrating, or what?" Unfortunately, her question stops there, as an odd chewing noise fills her ears. It's distant, but she can make out something...How odd, two wriggles inside of the spider's abdomen?...Wait. With a start, she tugs on the rope between Aravashnial and herself, pulling a starknife from her belt. "Everyone, get away from the spider! Something's inside of it, and if those gross noises are anything to go by, they seem hungry!" Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Since I'm sure there's no using Diplomacy to get out of this

Right, since we lost Milhar, would you be okay with Elmae taking the Trickster spot? It was the slot I'd originally submitted her for, since it fits her fighting style a lot better than Champion does, imo. If not, that's okay, but I do feel as though the history I wrote out for the Trickster path flows much better than anything I could do with Champion.
I'd personally say Roll20 is fairly simple to get started with, but that sounds completely reasonable. Keep in mind that I need to slightly alter Elmae's backstory to fit with the Champion campaign trait, though. I'd submitted her as a Trickster, but I got accepted for the Champion slot instead. It'd mostly just be altering the arena/Worldwound bit with the cultist ritual. I'll poke the others and tell them to pop in here, though.

http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2rp1f?Wrath-of-the-Righteous-Group-Looking-for# 1 Mmmmkay, thread's up! I guess go ahead and introduce yourselves and all that fun stuff. ^^
As the title suggests, I, along with other members, recently got accepted into Spooky's WotR campaign. However, it seems as though he's disappeared in all of his threads, which is rather saddening. In any case, we all like the group that was put together, so we're looking for a DM who could pick up our group. We never progressed past the first room, and all that was really done was the various characters introducing themselves, followed by improving the NPCs' attitudes. The characters are as follows: Olivia Wormwood- Female Div-Spawn Tiefling Paladin (Divine Hunter) (Marshal Path)
What we're looking for in a DM- Roleplaying opportunities- A large part of what drew us to Spooky's campaign was the opportunity to roleplay things out. This includes the overarching campaign story and individual characters. Bonus points if a DM can somehow meld enemies from the story into a character's backstory and work with players to accomplish that! Epic Fights- This sort of goes with what was said above, but it's more of a matter of not having a fight just be something like... "The rat bites you. It hurts. Your turn." That's no fun, right? =P Spooky promised cinematic fights, but it's not a necessity for them to be completely cinematic. I think that's it, but here's the rules we made our characters by: Rules: Character creation details:
-20 point buy -All classes except for Gunslinger, as well as all archetypes except Synthesist Summoner and the ones that give non-Gunslinger classes access to guns (such as Holy Gun) --Divine spellcasters who get their powers from a specific deity -All core races, as well as Aasimar and Tiefling. Less conventional races need a good reason for being in Kenabres. --Divine spellcasters who get their powers from a specific deity (or anyone who takes the Touched by Divinity trait) must choose a Good-aligned deity. Iomedae, Desna, Torag, and Sarenrae are all strong choices, especially the latter given her affinity for redemption. That said, non-listed deities are just fine too. Those are just ones that fit better than others. --Paladins may be of Neutral or Chaotic alignments so long as they are within one step of their deity. --For Aasimar and Tiefling variant abilities, you may either roll for your ability, or pick one from the list. If you pick one yourself, you may not choose any of the +2 ability score entries. You may choose whatever and however many physical qualities as you'd like, given their lack of game impact. Fiendish Heritage is not a requirement for access variant Tieflings. -All official Paizo material is on the table in terms of equipment, feats, spells, etc. -Good-aligned characters only. You are the titular righteous and you should act like it. -Max starting gold for your class -Two traits -No 3rd party material -I tend to welcome houseruling and refluffing, so if there is something you'd like tweaked or reflavoured feel free to ask. -Please provide a backstory, explaining your character's history, personality, and motivation, as well as a short rundown of your character's general gameplay roll, and any prestige classes you may be considering.

If everyone's cool with it, I'm gonna make the thread soon. I need input from everyone, though. Otherwise, we risk setting conditions someone isn't happy with. I've gotten feedback from Lily and Salomae, still missing it from others.

True, I can go either way on the fights, as long as they're done well and aren't a matter of "It bites you. Your turn." With the point buy, I guess whoever makes the thread can just mention that we're on a 20-point buy and hope for the best? As for posting rate, once a week is easily doable, and any more than one post per week is even better (twice a week, anyone? =P) I suppose I can make a thread once we figure out what we'll ask for, in any case.
