Made our way up the Storval Stairs on our way to locate the stone giant army. Some random encounters on the way helped break up the monotony of ogres and giants been seeing for a while now. An earth elemental really frustrated the rogue, what with the immunity to sneak attack, but the casters made up for it with fire and lightning.

The stairs themselves proved challenging because of the difficulty of climbing the stairs themselves. The slow moving dwarf fighter struggled to be a factor at all, taking a long time to get into melee range. Most of the party had good luck dodging the boulders rolling down the stairs, however, and eventually the party made it to the top.

Same. Almost two weeks from authorization to shipping is unusual in my experience.

Only fair to report now a couple hours later, my order has shipped.

Been wondering about this too. I'm sure those of us with charter status are in the super-minority, but it would be nice to get some sort of real benefit from it, beyond a little label on the forums.

I'd be sad to have to lose my charter tag after all this time, especially because of something external in nature. Already dropped my Starfinder subs because of cost increases; to have to drop my Pathfinder subs as a result of political shenanigans would break my heart.

But also, it's a delight hearing how positive Shalelu's presence is being taken! She's one of my favoritest NPCs I created, all the way back in "Burnt Offerings," and she's not even based on a previous PC I played! :-P

Consider this another huzzah for the re-appearance of Shalelu. Haven't had any success getting her to... you know, really matter to my PCs unfortunately, but still have personally always enjoyed seeing her show up in things since her debut in "Burnt Offerings."

My little group took on the dam at Skull's Crossing in Book 3 of Rise of the Runelords over the weekend, in an effort to save Turtleback Ferry from further damage.

The first ettin went down quick, as did the exhausted ogres at the top of the dam. The GM... okay, me... accidentally got the scale of the dam wrong and lined them all up in a row. One lightning bolt spell and a bunch of failed reflex saves pretty much did the trick.

The trolls inside took a little effort, but the magus using spell combat with acid splash helped keep their regeneration in check.

The graffiti upstairs made the heroes leery of Wet Papa Grazuul, but he also quickly succumbed to some swarm tactics by our heroes.

The real challenge was the skull ripper next door. It didn't take long before the two big damage dealers were grappled and constricted nearly to death, but a lucky roll by the cleric to overcome spell resistance and successfully cast the recently acquired flame strike spell brought combat to an end before anyone perished.

The devil tried to trick the group into letting him free, but was no match for the cleric's Sense Motive skill. Our sorcerer then jumped into the other magic circle, causing the dam to release the building water pressure and finish off the other pit fiend for good.

Got my shipping notice at 3:45 AM CDT this morning. I really hope the warehouse people weren't working that late.

Because of the way someone at my table once stumbled over the phrase some time ago, we now pronounce it "tappa toppa toopie"

If my February products are still stuck as pending, will they roll over into March's shipment? Or are they in limbo until somebody gives them a kick?

We're (hopefully) going away on vacation over Christmas break, and will be boarding our three-year-old cat Soji for the first time. Our last cat was of the sort where she could be left alone at home, with someone checking on her every couple of days, but Soji doesn't seem the type where that will work.

Have you ever boarded Shimmy, and how was that experience for the both of you?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber

Frustrated.

Hale and hearty greetings to you,

I have what I hope isn't deemed too silly a question for you. I live in Wisconsin, where our seasons rapidly change in the blink of an eye. Only a couple weeks ago highs in the 40s, but now we're in the middle of unseasonably warm temperatures--it's 90 degrees out now with correspondingly high humidity.

I crossed my fingers and turned on the 20-year-old air conditioning system at home before the heat hit, and am thankful to say it's working fine. I had the stray thought to give thanks to the appropriate Golarion-based deity, and was thinking Brigh at first, because of its mechanical nature. In your opinion, is there a better choice?

It’s fiction; everybody, both we players, and the citizens of the lost coast will all have their own point of view.

I’m just rejoicing in more stories about Shalelu.

What is Shalelu's views on half orcs?

She loves everyone. Half-orcs included.

I'm thinking the original question meant to say Shelyn, not Shalelu? I'm not sure why Shalelu would love everyone...

If I recall correctly, the issue with un-becoming an immortal and then doing it again is from Wrath of the Immortals.

It states that an immortal (one that has become a Hierarch?) can give up its immortality, becoming a level 1 mortal again. If it can make it all the way to level 36 and then reach immortality a second time, it will instantly be taken beyond the Dimensional Void (which not even the immortals can breach), finding out the mysteries that dwell on its far side.

In other words, at that point the character as "won" D&D.

Not sure if the source is right--it might have been in the old Immortals Gold Box-- but it did say something like that. I think the character became one of the "Old Ones"...

It came up in the other thread. Apparently (or rather, obviously) it is an error, and the pdf was/will be fixed shortly.
Moreover, the print copy already has the correct dedication.

I'm glad to hear the print copy is correct--and stunned that somebody has it in their possession already!!

Is facetious the only English word that uses all five vowels in order?

Nope. Abstemious, meaning indulging moderately in food and drink, also has all five in order.

There are others -- arsenious, acheilous, anemious, annelidous, and caesious -- but they're more obsucre.
