Yeah, the one-shots to try out a new character and to field out players for potential home-brews are both great ideas. I was on the fence about getting some of the bounties for trying out DMed games. I'll have to do some math and see how long it takes to run some of those bounties, may try that going forward.

I apologize, didn't think of separating them, I'll attempt to do better next time and try to move my discussion over promptly! Thanks for all the feedback to others!

Redeux this was a BLAST and had a great time! Please keep me posted if you happen to run games like this again. Love your GM style and if any thing has inspired me to pick up the GM mantle again. Thank you!

If only Aurelius was into string instruments, I could see him and Landitho jamming out to some thunderstruck... MUAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

Instead, some poetic boasting and chest beating will have to suffice!

There was some confusion around the class advancement tables and whether the classes granted extra ancestry feats. Feedback there was to provide a general advancement table that has all of the non-class things and then keep the class tables to only class advancement.

This was something we stumbled on for a moment as well, though at the very beginning of the ancestry table, and hinted in each table was that ALL classes get ancestry feast starting at level 1, and then again every 4 levels after that.

From what I can tell, each class had that referenced, with Skill/Class feats being mingled in between. After we had that clarified, we weren't sure where General Feats fit into the mix.

I do have to say though, we printed out a copy of the book ourselves and the Tabs on the edge of the book were really nice for flipping to each of the chapters. Really wished they did that in every book that was huge like this... 416 pages!

I actually really like the progression for one's ancestry, I like the division of actions where Move/Standard are considered the same and as such a Fighter can swing twice right at 1st level if needed, or take actions to attack, move, attack with a penalty. I like how weapons have removed crit ranges and instead have flavorful mechanics that feed into the type of weapon it is (LOVE The Falchion in its new form).

I also like how each Verbal, Somatic, Material, etc each have their own actions, and how some feats add an extra action to make a spell more potent. Cleric Can Channel Heal, but with Healing Hands can take a full action to really do some epic healing? Yes please!

I really like the direction the game is going certainly, and despite people not liking Goblins I have had goblins in my game for some time. Back when Eberron made it to where Goblins had empires, acted intelligently, and gave reason for people to think twice on them it gave way to players wanting to tap into that. That and Goblins have been ingrained into the game for some time. Really enjoyed the inclusion!

With regards to the negativity, it is a sad part of the internet. Those who have bad things to say often times say it more than those who don't, and often times will do so with all caps or in as many places as they can to get attention to validate their negative views. There are constructive posts though and I'm really liking what I see as the dust settles from the initial release.

Not sure what happened to my last post, but basically I agree with everything but the Spellcasters not having enough class feats, when in fact all the Martial Classes get a class feat starting at level 1, and will typically have 2 or 3 more than Spellcasting classes.

Gives me the impression that with the "Archetypes" and the like, Martial classes will be able to get them much sooner than spellcasting classes for this reason which I'm conflicted with how I feel about those.

...contains five books and a few loose sheets of paper in a leather folder. The titles and subjects seem completely unrelated to each other:

Practical Thaumaturgy In Accordance with Creation, Geographic Anomalies of the Inner Sea
Under Kaer Maga: A Trial and Travel
Physiology of Dragons: An Illustrated Reference
Lost Sarusan

The crate also contains:
10 sets of masterwork thieves’ tools
three flasks of alchemist’s fire
a flask of acid
a dozen jars of various inks
a footprint book
one vial of adamantine weapon blanch
three bags of powder
a deck of marked cards
two sets of average loaded dice.

Zot will take the opportunity to grab each Flask of Acid and Alchemist's fire, seeing as how the others didn't seem interested, and a few vials of ink to replace that which he was using in his various notes taken today.

Taking a look at Under Kaer Maga: A Trial and Travel Zot would ask to insure the Book was not part of the mission and ask to keep it. If not he would kindly return the book back to the Pickled Imp.

AND TO ARMS!
Taking heed to Einn's words Zot would bring his shield forward and prepare one of his Alchemist Fire vials.(move action) "Funny you would say so you half-pint goof, seems we are both in the same situation. Crossing us here will not end well for any of you! Let us see who Desna favors most, yes?"

[dice=Ranged Touch: Thrown Alchemist Fire at "W"]1d20-7; 1d6 + Splash[/dice] = Attacking Token "W" at 3 range increments (10ft/increment, max 5), -6 penalty
Knowledge:Religion (Untrained; max 10): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20 = Not a clue who the religion is

Wha... CRIT! Didn't really mean for this to hit squarely, would have just been happy with the splash, but since the nat 20...
Ranged Touch: Confirm Critical?: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (2) - 7 = -5 = So just an auto hit, but still hilarious!

"Lady luck does seem to favor us today! Zot would say aloud happily, watching his rather playful display fall in line yet again!

NOTE: Every creature within 5 feet of the point where the flask hits takes 1 point of fire damage from the splash. On the round following a direct hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 points of damage.

I can imagine it now! Zarta asks why we are blue as we are, to which we all reply...

"See we were playfully joking with the Gods about nothing of consequence. By the end of all of it we teased the gods about launching them through a siege weapon into a pile of exploding blueberry pastries! It was all in good sport of course, though the Gods have their own way of humor... as you can very well see!"

And thus begun the EPIC adventures of the Pastry Pathfinders!

Damn, and I'd wager I'd make for one awesome looking Smurf too! Hahah!

Pondering about the situation, Zot would realize he was the odd man out. Out of humor and good show, Zot would use his daily use of Prestidigitation to alter his own self to change his colors to blue as well. "Well that was an odd request if there ever was one. Though at least whoever designed the puzzle was both cruel and had a good sense of humor." Pondering it further,"I must add that I admire whoever it was for they had a good choice in color, always did love the color blue!"

Nodding with the others, Zot would insist to proceed. "We are making some decent progress, I say! From the looks of it we've only been a few hours out all together. Lets hope we can keep up the pace so as to keep the Lodge happy, yes?"

I will claim this to be my ready statement if necessary, and if you need to accelerate the game feel free to Bot any Gather Information checks if/when prompted!

As a quick note, was reviewing my character domains and realized I have a bonus 10ft movement speed with the Travel Domain! So I've update my character sheet and stat "bar" to reflect this.

Hope this is ok!

My isn't Kegan the impulsive one! Zot would mindfully chuckle to himself. Reaching into his belt pouch, Zot would casually pull out a few leaves of Mentha and begin to rub them together, the cool smell filling the air and hopefully easing whatever stagnant air was likely apparent in the sick children's room.

Whispering aloud towards the children, Zot would speak a prayer to Desna in helping each child find their way along their path, and to bless Kegan and any who would aid him good fortune in the coming interrogation.

Zot uses his first use of "Bit of Luck" on Kegan, and awaits for no more than one other to claim their good fortune and assist Kegan before personally moving in to help with the interogation.

"Oh boy! I always do love me a good display of food explosions!" Zot hesitates a moment, "I mean, as long as nobody gets hurt. You are hungry for some pie, right Canis?"

On that note, Let's get this party goin!

No worries, although I'd LOVE to keep posting I know people have other lives and GenCon is "Kind of a Big Deal" so no worries there!

Really excited to see what others bring to the digital table character wise!

Hope everyone has a great time at GenCon!

Also just noted that I didn't appropriately introduce myself!

Hello everyone! Name is Chris aka Dices Muse, I'll be playing as Zot, your friendly Divinely Blessed Traveling Cook! Been playing Pathfinder since it's inception (I still have the printed out "3.5 to Pathfinder" rules!) though only just recently started lurking on Paizo.

After meeting MikeBramnik at a local convention for my first PFS game I've been spending more and more time here. Since then I've ran at least one PFS game and have another Evergreen planned in just over a month. Really looking forward to some amazing fate-weaving with everyone involved!

Heya Christopher! Yes, my message was indeed an invitation :)

Awesome and thank you for the invite!

I plan on making a Gnome Cleric of Desna (Silver Crusade Faction) and hope to have a drafted character here soon. Do you have a preference on a specific format? I typically try to model the NPC Codex Stat Blocks as best as I can and use the Alias "profile" as a place for my stat block/history/background detail. If you'd like for me to include a copy of the character in the OOC thread please let me know!

*EDIT* Scratch that, looks like you have a lot of links in the Campaign page. Still getting used to Paizo's Campaign format. Also found your Character Template guidelines included here which I will use for my character going forward. You have a lot of great resources here! Really excited and thanks for the opportunity to play!

I gotta say, making the trip out to play at InCon was well worth it! After having had such a great time playing I've coordinated with the folks up in the NE PFS Group and will be running a game as soon as the 16th.

Thanks again for the great laughs and a great time! My Unseen Servant is now very thankful now that he has a new name, and he even got to help save the day! Good old "Charlie"!

Cheers,
- DicesMuse

Wow thanks everyone! Yeah, I'll be heading over there around 9ish and get parking earlier enough to where I can get in line for the Registration. Just want to make the most of this, I live in the middle of farmland and getting to any game has been very difficult. I don't really care which character I'll play and since this will be my first PFS scenario of all time I want to make sure I get it right. That and being a convention I sure want to get the most of my registration!

Thanks again, and I'll be keeping an eye out for you without a doubt!
