"Connor! Fall back!" Demona snaps. She whirls her staff through the air and points it at the man's sword.

Demona rips the blanket off him, smothers the tiny flame, and throws it back at his head. "My people have been bred so long to do evil, it's literally in their blood to hunt and kill other civilized people, and take their stuff. One could almost excuse them for just being who they are. You chose this life, of hurting your fellow humans, just to get things. That's truly sickening. If I were like you, you'd be on fire now. Ask him," she says, nodding at Arthrax. "I like setting things on fire."

She glances down at the man she burned and goes a little pale. "You shout a warning, you die. Lie on your bed, keep your mouth shut, and hope I forget how you make your 'living'." With that, she turns and storms out of the room, looking for the stairs.

Demona narrows her eyes at the bandit, seeing something shifty in her eyes. She snaps her fingers loudly and a small spark appears and licks at the edge of the man's blanket. "Try again."

Demona pauses long enough to grab the charred remains of green bandit and drags them into the room with her. "He's already cooked, so if you please me, I'll just eat him!"

"Ohhhh, sickies!" Demona says to Arthrax. "I've heard that, in many cases, sickness actually improves the taste of human flesh. If they don't surrender and tell you what you want to know, I think I'll make some supper."
She starts rummaging in her pack and flashing her teeth at the bandits occasionally.

Grrr...I keep trying to get multiple baddies with this thing, but it never works out. In that case, she won't have to move as much. I changed Demona's and Arthrax's movement. Hope it's okay.

Seeing Connor dash north, Demona steps south, right between Arthrax and the orange bandit, and blasts him with the afore-mentioned jet of flame.

Arthrax! With me!" Demona calls out as she dashes forward. She hopes that she survives long enough for Arthrax to take her to task for taking such a risk.

She holds out her hand and unleashes a jet of fire which catches both green and blue.

Demona tries to keep her face as straight as possible, but a couple smirks do slip out when she looks at Arthrax.

Demona has swapped out snapdragon fireworks for Mage armour this morning. She waits until Arthrax tells her that danger is imminent (likely within the next hour or so) then casts her spell. Wisps of ethereal flame surround her feet, then whoosh up to the top of her head, leaving her sheathed in what looks like a heat shimmer.

Demona strings up her hammock close enough to the fire to get some warmth, and smirks as Arthrax takes up a position almost underneath her. She reaches down to ruffle his hair affectionately before rolling over and letting sleep take her.

Demona gathers up as much dryish wood she can and spams spark cantrips on each pile to get as many fires going as possible. "Lots of fires might make them think twice about approaching our camp."

She takes the time to smile at Arthrax and squeeze his shoulder. "You're doing a really good job keeping me alive. 100% success rate so far. Thanks for agreeing to do this."

Then she enjoys some chicken and goes to sleep.

"Oh. Chicken!" Demona says, sounding disappointed. "I thought part of the adventure of having an adventure was sleeping rough and eating horrible dried rations and jerky. This looks almost civilized!"

Is that the core rule? The house rule I've always used is that if you get interrupted (by either a random encounter or a watch rotation), you figure out the percentage of 8 hours that have gone by and restore that percentage of spells of each level. If you then end up using one or more spells during the night (assuming you've recovered enough to have them available), you wake up the next morning with those spells gone.

As her move, Demona moves off the path straight west, and readies an action to use her flame jet should the two ice creatures line up through their own movements to engage them.

To be fair to myself, except for the one time I played an evoker, my wizards are never like this. I play manipulator or controller wizards, when I play one at all.

Demona is just special, although she's also trying to capitalize on the winter fey's apparent fear of fire.

And yes, setting the arms on fire was also just a cheeky juvenile prank to help her vent frustrations at these fey, and neither she not I make any apologies for it! :)

Demona keeps herself wreathed in prestidigitation flames as they move out, and randomly fires off spark cantrips to ignite small twigs on the trees as they pass through. She briefly contemplates how well Arthrax's hair would ignite, but stops herself halfway through her casting, as she realizes that's probably a slightly dumb idea.

She keeps glancing at him and smirking, however, as they proceed.
