After being knocked down like a rag doll, Daseem growled "GORRRUM!" and he was suddenly surrounded by inky darkness! You knew roughly where he was but not precisely.
Using fervor to cast Shield of darkness as a swift action.
He then picked himself up and waited for the eight legged monstrosity to make another pass!
[ooc]Move action, get up from prone.
Standard action: ready an attack.
Readied action, power attack, furious focus, improved vital strike, shaken: 1d20 + 19 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 19 - 2 = 26Damage: 6d6 + 23 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 1, 4, 1) + 23 = 37

Does that make us shaken or frightened?

Daseem nodded, he wasn't particularly bothered were they went next as long as there was something to fight!

After the fight Daseem kind of shrank back into himself and was quiet, although once Menrozzar had been patched up, he asked, "Where to n-next?"
Was there anything of interest in the secret rooms?

It had been a while since Daseem had last used Uskroth's armour and he'd forgotten the heady feeling of suddenly being so tall! Shouting "GORUM WITNESS!" he invoked our Lord in Iron's name and brought his holy sword down upon it in a quick arc which he converted into a vicious lunge!
Notes: Normally Daseem does 2d6 with a great sword. Activating righteous might bumps that to 3d6. He's got another 2d6 from the vicious enchant from battle lust. The vicious enchant damage is not doubled on a crit.
Casting Divine Favour as a swift action at the cost of 1 ferver.
Primary attack, power attack, furious focus, divine favour, righteous might, vicious enchant: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (7) + 24 = 31Damage: 5d6 + 30 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 5, 6) + 30 = 52 NL Self damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Iterative attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36Damage: 5d6 + 30 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 2, 1) + 30 = 42 NL Self damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Crit?: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29Crit Damage: 3d6 + 30 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) + 30 = 38
I'm not sure if the wicker man counts as a giant. If it does then +1 to hit and +2 to confirm due to orphaned by giants.

Daseem gulped at the unexpected heat and the size of the thing but then he grinned and he whispered the command word to his magical armour! Suddenly he grew! And he growled "GORRUM!" with growing confidence!
Uskroth's armour gives him righteous might for 5 rounds. He gains DR 5/evil. Also as a swift action he's going to use quicken blessing to gain battle lust (vicious enchant on his weapon).

Quote: And so the group gets to enjoy an afternoon off from fighting around a nice campfire. Yeah we did rest, which is just as well since Daseem was getting low on spells.
