Could name labels be added to the portraits that have been marked as safe. It would help a great deal when not recognising the entity of the portrait.

Does that imply these new novels (optimism!) are likely to be unavailable in dead tree versions?

Fwiw, even if it were only POD, digital/audio books are an automatic nonpurchase for me. (Granted Im only one person). I really hope you find a way to produce physical copies too.

Not at all! One big part of this grand experiment is seeing if changing the formula will make physical novel publishing profitable enough to do more than this once.

Cross your fingers!

Please always try to have digital versions available, for us that don't have local game stores, or any postal services for dead tree products.

Great news about Pathefinder setting novels. I love them, for they gave us more lore at our disposal to use in creating our wonderful characters .

Please give us huge warnings weeks ahead when the downtime of the forums will take place for the migration to the new platform. For many of us the online game play is how we play, as areas we live in have few rpg players.

Odd that there is no link in the post to the kickstarter.

Thanks for the link. I have not visited World Anvil. I must admit I completely forgot about World Anvil as a lore resource, that can be used for multiple game systems.

I see the page was created by a community member Endrise, to what it believes are suitable physical stats for the Syrinx as there is no official reference to an official Paizo product or Paizo blog post. I see it also added more lore for the Syrinx, including maturity to produce the next generation.

It is something definitely useable, but not official canon by Paizo.

Yes for Strix, the physical stats are present, I have made Strix characters a few times already.

What I need is the physical stats for Syrinx.

Strix and Syrinx have rather different appearances, especial description of the head. Strix has more details on appearances.

Looked through both Inner Sea Bestiary and Inner Sea Races books, none of them contain the missing information of height, weight, starting ages, and age category.

I have all PDFs published by Paizo on the Syrinx.

Though the Races book, does have another racial ability/feat that is not on the online resources.

Seen that one already, thus I came here to ask for the missing physical stats.

Syrinx is a playable race as indicated in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Bestiary with RP of 16.

Yet I am unable to locate stats related to height and weight, starting ages, and the age categories for the Syrinx. Also the typical classes the Syrinx take, considering they created the Strix to be their warriors defending their territories.

There is little lore available, considering the Syrinx is from the Arcadia continent, which there is very few products that cover this continent.

Could any of the creators of Syrinx please help out with the envisage stats and lore for the Syrinx.

Of course this information would also be usable for PF2 too, as it these stats are fairly system rules agnostic.

Love to see it. :)

Is it a conversion from pf2 dragon ancestry (roll for combat)?

I used In the Company of Dragons.

** spoiler omitted **...

I like the Dragon Ancestries by Roll for Combat, but rather sadden there was no PF1 version.

Thanks for bringing this dragon book to my attention that is for PF1, I see there is the expanded version "In the Company of Dragons Expanded" (excluded Void dragon for obvious reasons, though could make one by basing on what was done for the other outer dragons, for a campaign of absolute destruction).

Try to change the title to remove (Closed). I only ended in this thread by a miss-click, wanting to click on neighbouring thread. "(Closed)" told me all done, don't bother looking here.

Arrived here. This evening will build character.

Not at all. One of the reasons I designed the campaign to start with the party freshly awakening in the Cemetery of Lost Souls was to accommodate those who did not have the books. There is no pressing need have a deeper knowledge of the campaign world if your characters are new arrivals to it and will be learning about it along the way through interactions with NPCs, exploration, et cetera.

I have no issue with it so long as people can keep the math straight. I would, however, require a breakdown of what was taken at each given level to ensure that there are no problems checking the character's statblock for errors.

The Waskally wrote:
I was thinking of gestalting as a clever godling. Not to claim deific parentage, but abilities used by the Greatest of Heroes.
I take it that's an informal request for the class? Consider the class itself granted in that case. Any support for the class- such as class specific feats, additional class options, et cetera- will need to be cleared separately.

Great!. Though I would not have any hassle to get the PDF, then again, probably be nicer not knowing the setting, and learn it through adventure. :)

I hunger for the details for character creation.

Maybe Jereru is willing to check the stats of characters to be correct *wink*

How friend are you to multiclassing in the gestalt?

Do you have a software tool that can handle gestatlt character, yet alone multiclass gestalt? Else it is going to be a manual mind bomb to manage.

I take some pride in doing ALL my characters by hand. I've made tristalt mythic 12th level characters, 20th level gestalt SoP/SoM, 15th level Mythic gestalt full 3rd party, all of them by pure rule searching with my own hands and eyes. They might not be the most uberoptimized "I kill a thousand universes with a wink" characters, but there's some good feeling in knowing I can manage.

I just didn't want to open a worm can.

Wow! I take my hat off to you.

Well for the one half of the gestalt character, I definitely like to go with 5 legendary shifter (normal) with 3 polymorph savant (prestige class for l shifter) for total of 8 levels. The other half of gestalt I am more open, could be unchained rogue (sneaking about), sorcerer (arcane power, and even bloodranger), or druid (divine), and thus choose to fit the composition of the party to give more coverage in abilities.

The background I formulating is largely based for the lshifter, and is rather flexible to pick up any class, to compliment the primary.

Now to wait for the recruitment thread to pop up.

Oh do we as the players need to get Kisarta even though it is 5e product?

Thanks for clearing up about the setting. Sure is pulling me in.

See, I am terrible in putting together gestalted characters. :)

Though the theme of the setting is unusual at best. Dark place of anarchy, which is what makes this one interesting. I guessing with gestalt characters, this is going to be a deadly adventure of survival.

Sadly most of my characters hardly make it past level 5, and I am generally terrible in building gestalted characters. Wish I had even a level 8 character even if a plain normal one.

Though my idea would be a shifter-???, perhaps shifter-druid for a very primodial feel hunter. Though I see you have not mentioned allowable classes and races, I would be aiming for the legendary classes (by Legendary Games) as they are very thematic in design.

Yep, I played with the point system of Unearthed Arcana (better than the default), yet also looking for something more attuned to the body that is acting as a conduit for the magic.

I would like to try this magic spell casting system for a druid, particular the Legendary Druid (by Legendary Games, not yet up on d20PFSRD, as it was released recently, and it brings back the thematic feel of the 1st Ed AD&D druids, that disappeared by 3rd D&D). Even Pathfinder druid is rather different from the D20 3.5 druid, as each iteration worked to improve the balance of the druid.

Noting that this predates Pathfinder, where some spells were drastically changed, such as the polymorph collection. I am guessing that for these changed spells we will adjust the Pathfinder ones to this system.

Also dotting for interest, yet I noticed this kickstarter mentions this product is for 5e. I saw this kickstarter when it was running, then saw it was for 5e, and closed the webpage.

Also checked the italiano publisher's website, yet not finding the Kisarta product there.

Ah, Oki. Not available as PDF, then won't be able to get it. Where I live there has not been postal services for 2 decades already, thus only buy PDFs.

Looks like I have to step back from a potentially interesting adventure.

How would druid spell casting be affected by this system?

Also not finding this 2006 book on DriveThru RPG.

I am open to the idea of a stamina-health spell casting system.

Also what classes and race restrictions are there? Well besides the spell casting being replaced.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Why now?

Loved to have seen this content for PF1 to fill in that region of the world for PF1.

Oh please back port mechanics to PF1. I sure the lore will be amazing and can be used as is for PF1, even though written for PF2.

Is there an option to obtain just the graphic tokens, so they can be used on any VTT?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Enjoy your new adventure that lies ahead of you into the wild unknown. Go well. Go strong.

Thanx for the info.

What are the differences between the digital assets and the VTT packages? Cause I see each book also comes with digital assets.

I am really just chasing after the tokens.

Really don't want a screw up, so can you provide me with instructions to get:
- Battlezoo Eldamon PDF
- Battlezoo Ancestries: Year of Monsters PDF
- Battlezoo Bestiary Strange & Unusual PDF
- All the FoundryVTT packs for all 3 PDFs

That is, the full digital solution PF2.

Like some of the physical items, yet they never arrive by me. We don't have postal service (stopped like 15 years ago).

Big thanks to Steven (stonesnake) for organizing RPGSuperstar this year, it's been a real surprise to be rewarded in such a way for what I thought was an unassuming-yet-solid (much like the rock-bug itself) design.

And working with Patrick Renie to design the bigger and beefier evolutionary cousins in the "lapisopod" genus was an absolute treat, bouncing ideas back and forth. I can't wait to see the final product and the coating of "Paizo gloss" they received from his experience as a developer.

Here's to the next RPGSuperstar!
(—and with it, hopefully eligibility to enter again? :D)

Can we have them as pets?

The Dragon Ancestry having Outer Dragons makes this a must-buy for me.

The complete list of playable Dragons is currently the following:

  • Metallic Dragons as a baseline – brass, bronze, copper, gold, and silver
  • Chromatic Dragons – black, blue, green, red, and white
  • Primal Dragons – brine, cloud, crystal, magma, and umbral
  • Imperial Dragons – forest, sea, sky, sovereign, and underworld
  • Esoteric Dragons – astral, dream, ethereal, nightmare, and occult
  • Outer Dragons – lunar, solar, time, void, and vortex
  • Planar Dragons – apocalypse, bliss, crypt, edict, havoc, infernal, paradise, rift, and tumult

Plus a few extra surprises!

Well this just gave me the reason to back this Kickstarter, thank you Mark Seifter.

Need more Tuku stories. I loved this one, as with the first one.

Is there a chapter for this week? It is already Friday and nothing, supposed to come on Wednesday.

I would call it time deplayed fiction. :)

"Bonus points for those of you who might not be as enthused about having firearms in your home games: we’re playtesting the gunslinger with built-in options for replacing firearms with crossbows. ... And no, playing a character with this option won’t require a feat or archetype!"

Finally the gunslinger class made usable, and with sense. Thank you so much.

Good news, by the way! We'll be talking about the history and development of firearms in Golarion and how it diverges from the real world in the final release for Guns & Gears!

Now this will be a good read indeed. Please include this idea.

Chapter 3 email has come through. I am loving the story development.

For the settings, I have only the Society unticked, as it has no meaning where I live.

I hunger for more. Liane Merciel did it again. Awesome introduction.

@avr, thanx for your input.

Party has cleric and fighter type characters, along with skeleton belonging to the necro wizard, so front line is well covered. Thus druid and drake can take a more support role, delivering spells, surveying, ranged attacks, etc. Though if there is a real need arises can get close to cause a flanking irritation to the enemy.

I have already planned for these feats: fly by attack, hover, mentioned by Name Violation, as they can be also useful out of combat. fly-by-attack can also be used to deliver buffs, etc to party members in melee combat.

The suggestion of combat reflexes and bodyguard is interesting. plus escape route for avoiding AoOs.

well I aiming for flying and mount. Druid is of small size, so the mounting possibility does come sooner than for medium humanoids.

What are good feats to take as the drake levels with the druid, is what I mean.

I decided to try out the Drake Companion from Legacy of Dragons source book as it is provided (even with it's issues mentioned by many posters). I know of an alternative (homebrew) version of Drake Companion located on reddit.

What I need help with, which can be applied to any version of Drake Companion, is a list of suitable feats the drake may take during levelling progression. I am pretty stumped on what feats that would compliment the drake. The list of available feats is huge, and with many not suitable for drakes, and I fear I will miss suitable feats, while going brain dead ploughing through the huge list.

If this is of any use, I taken the Draconic Druid archetype for the character.

I agree. GMs do need a players perspective view map, with all markers and specially hidden item markers removed. In the VTT the GM will add needed markers once the players have discovered the item.

This is probably the best news I have heard from Paizo in more than a decade of using their products.

Thanx to all those who will be digging through all the old content maps to fix them up for VTTs.
