Allow my submission to introduce himself. Haven't come up with a name yet. "Whatcha want berk I ain't got all day time is jink and jink ain't free ya tumble me? So this barmy graybeard wants ma story well he's got ta bob up like the rest no penny gusher pusher here
Background in the common tongue:
[name] was born in the city of brass to a line of Efreetis. His seventh generation grandfather, Rafiq made deals with devils in order to gain more wealth and influence. One of those deals involved using illusions to trap [name] and ship him off to Baator as a slave. Preferring willing agents, it took all of five minutes trapped in a box unable to run around for [name] to sign the contract. Once 'free', he took off running, dashed through a portal and found himself in Sigil. He joined the Transcendent Order just as soon as he heard about them, as is proper. Deep down, he knows that he's trapped by the contract, but takes each day as it comes and tries to make the best of things. Contract:
His contract stipulations are simple. At no time is he to be physically restrained or otherwise prevented from moving by any devil or their agents. He is not to be sent on any missions where his role involves any amount of waiting around doing nothing. And if he is captured, retrained or otherwise prevented from moving by outside forces, the devils he contracted with are bound to seek his release by any means necessary.
Other than that, its the usual infernal boilerplate. Stats: Basics STR 16 DEX 16 CON 16 INT 10 WIS 6 CHA 14 True Neutral Ifrit Bloodrager 1 AC 17 (+3 dex, +4 armor) Flat Footed 14 Touch 13 CMD 17

Thaxos and one of the kanks continue to bleed their respective bodily fluids. The psionic card slinger finds himself still a prisoner within his own body as the urge to slay Daishata overcomes his senses. A bolt from Hamailii binds him in some kind of psychic energy. Thaxos Stabilize: 1d20 + 2 - 6 ⇒ (9) + 2 - 6 = 5

Status:
I was thinking the slave-culling started happening over several years before he was deposed, so he's spent a good 5 or so years in Altaruk learning from the preserver cell. As for his parent's relationship, I'm not sure. Certainly Kax himself knows nothing about the details. Contacts in Tyr... He would have tried to make contact with the preservers there when he returned, Sadira's crew. He'd also possibly meet with his former owner (who sided with Tithian), though I don't know if we'd call him a contact.
Don't let me bump out any other players if there isn't room, but here is the idea I have: Like most of his kind, Kax was born a slave. His mother, a dwarf named Lazra was one of the lucky ones, a house maid to one of Kalak's templars. His childhood was easier than most, but still harsh and full of work to be done. He never knew his father, and his mother never spoke of him. Then came the day. Even personal slaves of his templars were to be culled. Kax did not know what was to come, so he kept to his studies as usual. At the noon hour, a strange human man came by the house. He had a hushed, hurried conversation with Lazra. Kax did not hear the details, but saw his mother become more and more agitated as she gestured his way. Finally, it seemed that the argument was at an end. "My son, you need to go with this man. Follow him and do what he says." With a tone suggesting finality, she hugged him one last time and ushered him to follow the human. The man made a gesture and spoke some strange words. This was the first time Kax had witnessed magic. The man then told him to follow as he headed through the city streets and out of Tyr. At first Kax complained that his slave mark did not permit such a journey and that he would be arrested. The man simply smiled and told him to remain quiet. Once beyond the walls, the man explained that he had used forbidden magic and asked if Kax was interested in learning. At first the young Mul was reluctant, but as they journeyed through the desert, the man taught him many things. When they finally arrived in Altaruk, Kax was placed in the care of a preserver cell to continue his training. When Kalak fell, Kax returned to Tyr, to the house he grew up in. Investigation revealed that his mother had been taken by Kalak shortly after his departure. (The implication is that the 'Benefactor is Kax's father', or at least knew him)
Chumani, so you did. I must be slipping.
Chumani's sword slash is the straw that breaks the old trade lord's back, laying him low. As he falls, a halfling uppercut meets his chin and several body blows connect before he hits the sand. Blood begins to pool from Thaxos's wounds, he is unmoving. The effect on Lucian is still ongoing, he will attempt to continue carrying out his order until he is incapable of doing so, a day goes by without Thaxos maintaining control, or something else ends the effect (magic, etc).
Reflex Save vs Lightning Hands: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 2 = 9
It appears that Thaxos can now barely stand. You imagine that if the last two blows had connected, he would have been struck down. In a last desperate attempt at victory, he slips through the press of bodies, using the zone of magic cold to guard his flank. Despite the odds, he manages to pull of one more manifestation. With no one to stop the bleeding, the second kank continues to leak ichor. Lucian make two Will saves, DC 19 and 17 Lucian, if you fail both saves:
You have talent, boy. kill the templar and we shall discuss your future. echoes in your mind. You are mind controlled to full attack Daishata to the best of your ability. I’ve already factored in the ‘against nature’ save bonus into the DC. Spellcraft DC 19:
Sense Motive DC 15 if Lucian fails both saves:
Lucian has been dominated. Daishata, your speed is only 20’ so you had to run around the East side. luckily Thaxos is unarmed so he can’t take an AoO. Bane is something you have to specify each round.
Enemy Status:
Since Gideon hasn’t responded, I will bot him this round so Hamailii can get back into the action. Gideon takes a lime from Hamailii’s pack and feeds it to her, restoring her to consciousness. Potionfruit: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Hamailii now has 2 hit points. She is still prone however. Thaxos Staggered Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Thaxos keeps his feet, if barely. Once again he focuses his will to heal his wounds. "I am not so easy to dispatch you will find." he retorts. "I will leave you all to rot for the kes'tre'kel!" healing: 5d12 ⇒ (3, 10, 9, 9, 9) = 40
Enemy Status:
Given Thaxos's attack on Hamailii and Lucian's compulsion-violating response, I'll fudge things a little for the sake of getting the ball rolling again.
Chumani:
Kill the card bearer echos in your mind. You feel a nearly irresistible urge to attack Lucian to the best of your ability. As murdering his allies is not in Chumani's nature, this will grant you a second save at +2 to break the control.DC is still 17. All but one of the cards hit their mark true, the last deflecting off of Thaxos's skin of all things. The trade lord stumbles. He focuses his will yet again, his wounds begin to close, but he is still quite wounded. heal: 5d12 ⇒ (6, 6, 10, 3, 8) = 33
DC 18 Spellcraft:
Thaxos manifested Body Adjustment. Enemy Status:
Thaxos sputters as another bolt of psionic energy batters his body. He stumbles back a step. ”I was perfectly willing to walk away without bloodshed. You brought this on yourselves!” he snarls. Once again, the venerable old trade lord focuses his mind. A loud crack can be heard as vicious tears and cuts spread across Hamailii’s body. force: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 3, 5) = 16
DC 18 spellcraft:
Thaxos manifested Concussion Blast. Hamailii takes 16 force damage. By my count, this puts her at -6 hp. She is now dying. Everyone Else <- we are here
Enemy Status:
Rennoc, if you made the spellcraft, you are aware that he is dominated. This means complete mind control. Breaking it requires the successful application of: Dispel Magic, Protection from Evil, similiar spells, or putting him into a situation where his orders are suicidal, murderous, or otherwise completely contrary to his nature (which will allow another saving throw). Restraining the elf from a fight that she might not be able to win doesn't fall under this. Waiting on Gideon, Lucian.
His new mount cut out from under him, Thaxos lands hard on the sand once again. He grimaces as he takes another bolt of psionic energy. ”You ask me to instead to face certain execution at the hands of the simpering council? I’ll take my chances in the sands. I’ve outlived plenty better than you lot and intend to continue doing so. Now I’ve tried to be civil, but it seems violence and death are all you savages are capable of understanding!” With that proclamation, Thaxos takes a step back and summons a tremendous psionic force, threatening to erase Hamailii’s mind wholesale. DC 19 spellcraft:
Thaxos manifested Mindwipe. falling: 1d6 ⇒ 1
He falls, stands up (provoking from Hamailii). Then takes a 5’ step and manifests.
Everyone Else <- we are here
Enemy Status:
Ignoring all other distractions, Thaxos moves to another kank. The goo is making him fairly clumsy and he isn’t able to mount the bug quickly. He provokes an AoO from Hamailii as he moves. He also provokes from Daishata and Gideon, though their AoOs would need to be something that doesn’t directly hinder his escape Thaxos Ride: 1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 1 - 2 = 17 Everyone Else <- we are here
