Clebsch describes the fight with the crocodiles, assuring the king they are not magical creatures, just some swimming predators that apparently got washed into the area. We also found some clues as the the owners of this area, a property deed, and a sealed box with a jade cat token and a note. He shows the items and the deed to the king.

Clebsh resumes his role as the fighter at the ready, keeping his shield and torch ready to defend himself and see what's around. He lets others figure out the features of the room and other archeological type activities. He focuses on watching dark areas for movement.

He approaches the figure he has identified as Aroden and looks closely at the left hand. "I don't think Aroden had webbed fingers."

Clebsch stands and moves a bit away from the brute while he equips his shield and raises it. He's a mite confused waking up prone with a sore jaw but doesn't puzzle over things. He will try to jump back into the fray once he's drawn his sword and can defend himself properly.

* I can't remember or look up whether one can use a two-handed weapon while wearing a shield or if the shield has to be dropped or stowed. He only drops the shield if he has to to use the spear.

If I have the skill in question, I sometimes like to roll even after someone else has made the roll, mostly for RP purposes to see if my character had the knowledge as well. Plus it's part of the fun of FRP, rolling dice.

Clebsch still has a torch attached to his shield. He takes in the impressive area and gives his more learned colleagues a chance to interpret the architecture and decorations for some sign of the creators of the temple.

Clebsch rises out of the water clutching the small box. He offers it to anyone who cares to check it for traps. If not traps are found or if no one detects a trap, he will pry it open carefully.

Clebsch is relieved when a fight is avoided. "Good goin'," he says to those who talked the mercs out of a fight.

In the next room, he surveys the water and says, "I'm a fair ta middlin' swimmer, even in my armor. Unless anyone else has a better idea, I'll swim down an' try ta get ta that shiny dingus."

If he can take 10 his result will be 16. If not, let us know what rolls are needed. Note: Clebsch is 6'11" tall.

Clebsch surveys the scene after the fighting ends. "Good teamwork," he says. "Anyone know what these beasts are?" He gives the carcasses a onceover himself.

Once people are healed, he picks up the warhammer and uses it to clear out some of the debris and expand the opening. Afterwards, he holds onto the hammer, as he doesn't have a smashing weapon.

As soon as the white tailed lizard falls, Clebsh lets the wind carry him forward. He raises his shield in case the lizard tries to hit him while he runs to get behind it. Once in position, he thrusts his longsword at the presumably soft underbelly.

Clebsch can't move because of the large enemy. He would have to use acrobatics to tumble, but that uses half movement and that would not be enough to get to a clear space. Besides, Clebsch wants to remain blocking the party behind him from the monster as a front-line fighter should.

There is an icon in the toolbar that looks like square with squiggles in it, like a framed picture. Hover the mouse over it and it should identify as 'insert image'. Clicking on it should allow you to upload a jpg or png image. Copy an image and it should paste into the slide as well.

I've worked with Google Drawings and Slides a lot and most people cannot manipulate things with a touch screen interface. PC access should work better, if available.

Do members of the Pathfinder Society get a free wayfinder (without an aeon stone)? The entry in Archive of Nethys gives no price but lists says "Access: member of the Pathfinder Society". I'm trying to figure out if Clebsch would have been given one or if he has to purchase it. I'm just not sure of the rules for PFS games.

Clebsch joins the other Pathfinders to discuss what roles to play. After skimming the lines, Clebsch says, "Ah'm no thespian, but as the talles' human an' armed an' armored as a Las' Wall hero, I'll do Ulthun."

After that, he reviews his lines and says them softly a few times over.

As they walk, Clebsch asks the bartender what he knows about some kind of discovery under the old theater. After that he asks about recent events in the Puddles district.

As for the plan:

Clebsch is not clever at things like diplomacy so he is content to let more charismatic types take the lead. Seems our instructions are to offer Pathfinder aid in dealing with a threat. We could make a case that having Pathfinders as allies could mean other benefits besides help with threats.

A tall man pushes the swinging doors of the saloon aside and strides in, looking around until he sees a group he figures can only be other Pathfinders in a joint like this. He wears a breastplate with a steel shield slung on his back, carrying a longsword, shortsword, and a spear. He wears a broad brim hat popular in Andoran.

"Is this the Pathfinder's get-together?" he asks with a distinct Andoran drawl. Ah'm Clebsch Gordan, Pathfinder, assigned ta explore an ol' theATer 'roun' here. Am Ah in the righ' place?

Clebsch steps forward and stands near his allies in case things turn ugly in the aftermath of the disabled runes, keeping his shield up and watching how the corrupted leshies and constructs react to the loss of energy.

As no conflicts emerge, he sheaths his sword and gives Thunderroot a thumbs up.

So as I read the PFS system for 2E, job rolls are limited to a craft check, performance check, or Lore check.

Thanks to the GM and players. I enjoyed my first scenario with a new character who is actually an old friend, a remake of my first high level DnD character from first edition run back in 1976-ish.
