![]() I'm a little frustrated at being at the end of the queue again, as an overseas (UK) customer knowing that I will have to wait quite some time for my physical books to arrive just adds to the frustration. I accept that the estimated end shipping date is just an estimate, and it's pretty rare for Paizo to still be processing subscriber shipping after street date. What irritates me more than anything is the discussions on social media. My favorite (/s) question so far has been "has anyone had experience blending SF2E and PF2E in a game?". No. I can guarantee that nobody has because none of us have the final SF2 rules yet. There are people posting threads and comments online as if the books are in everyone's hands - not "here are some cool highlights that I love in the new books", but actual deep-dive questions on rules interactions. And as a rules nerd, I'd love to take part in those discussions. Except I don't have the books yet. I know there's nothing I or anyone else can do about it, but it's actually depressing to see people having "how does X work with Y" discussions when only a small fraction of the player base actually have the book. ![]()

![]() The license was lost because of the (at the time) forthcoming 4E release, WotC didn't renew the license, and didn't tell Paizo until very late in the process. It had nothing to do with quality on either party's part. ![]()

![]() Non-mint is "not perfect", so it's a first printing that either got returned for some reason or has some physical damage (usually VERY minor) to the product. The worst "non-mint" thing I've ever bought had a dent on the corner of the cover. So it might not be second hand, it might just be something that got damaged a little in shipping, but is still usable. Paizo aren't in the habit of sending out product with actual damage, so a non-mint product is really just "not as pristine as factory new" rather than anything more severe. Given that my books see more abuse getting carted around to games than non-mint products do, I'm generally happy to buy one if it's the only option available. ![]()

![]() Well, had a lovely surprise today when a parcel dropped on my doorstep containing an AP, PC2 and the Starfinder Playtest book. I've still not had a shipping notice. I don't actually know if my credit card has been charged. Once I get my next credit card statement and find out, I'll be emailing CS to either pay or just get the shipping notice. Meanwhile - I have books to read. ![]()

![]() Thrawn82 wrote: Mine also still says "Pending," You might want to reach out to CS in an e-mail. Until we get to the end of the expected shipping window - which is Friday - there's no point contacting CS, since the order isn't at all delayed until that point. And even then that assumes that there isn't another update. We must be patient. ![]()

![]() It's definitely not guaranteed, because at times I have had my subscriptions shipped after street date, and the free pdf is a perk that triggers at the point of shipping. Having said that, the situations where it happens are few and far between and Paizo certainly try to make shipping for subscriptions happen so that product arrives on or before street date (for US customers, at least. I'm in the UK, so I never get my physical product that early). So while it's not a guarantee, and it's not an "official benefit", it is a side effect of good business practice (people who have pre-ordered should get the product either before or at the same time as people who buy it at street date), and so it is a "benefit" that is part of the reason some people have a subscription. ![]()

![]() Just want to note that I got my PDFs, thank you CS team for sorting that out for me. I won't pretend I'm not disappointed at having waited so long, it's been a struggle for the last 6 days not to let my frustration get the better of me, but I have always had faith that Paizo's CS team are trying to satisfy their customers. Working in customer service myself, I know how difficult it can be when circumstances create difficulties that you just have to cope with, and the response has been good. Selfishly I did want more frequent updates, knowing full-well that it's unrealistic to ask for. Anyway, thanks again, and I hope that everyone eventually gets matters resolved satisfactorily. ![]()

I'd like to thank you in advance for when I do get into table top =) You are most welcome. I will note that this sheet is specific to the PF1 version of the rules, so if you're looking for something that works for PF2, I haven't done that. ![]()

![]() I think "Paizo community" is a perfect description. Still working on the sheets to make sure I know exactly how they tick (and I'm still in the process of wrapping my head around the 2E kingdom rules, anyway), but I have some ideas already. ![]()

![]() Firstly, wow, these are looking amazing! Frankly I might even just save myself the worry and not do an updated version myself, because these are just awesome. Secondly, and this is by no means a criticism AT ALL, but tomeric, could you please remove my name from your references to the Ultimate Campaign Kingdom Tracking Spreadsheet, as I cannot in good conscience claim any form of ownership for a project that has been the work of several primary authors as well as countless users who have found bugs and suggested revisions. I am immensely proud to be the current caretaker of that sheet, but I absolutely refuse to claim it's "mine". But going back to the real topic, I am blown away by these. I'm going to spend a few days having a play around with them, and if you'd like I can share my thoughts? ![]()

![]() Good question. Checking it and some of the encounters that include that trait, it's probably an earlier name for the Secret trait that got changed in development and not all the instances got caught. It is possible that it's a new encounter trait that doesn't otherwise get referenced, which is far less likely, but given that the encounters that include the trait seem to give details on how it can be "unhidden", the specifics of the trait probably don't matter too much. ![]()

![]() Well, that "few days" took a lot longer than expected. However, here goes: I am unable to replicate the issue with forts and watchtowers, I've tried every combination I can think of for those terrain improvements and all of them are correctly reporting both Stability and Defense to the Overall worksheet, on both my test copy and the copy you linked above - please link me to a copy of the workbook that is showing this problem. Thank you for the work on the build cost chart, that's hugely appreciated, and I will be grabbing those and the new edict charts that you put in, as well (those are SOOOOO awesome, thank you!). Expect a new version of the spreadsheet soon™. ![]()

![]() I assume you're using the sheet I host? If that's the case, have you actually exceeded 25 cities? The first 6 city sheets are shown by default, but there are a total of 25 built into the workbook. If you're using Excel, go to Format > Hide & Unhide > Unhide sheet... The popup window will show you all of the hidden worksheets, including city sheets 7 through 25, army sheets 2 to 9, and a few others, though I would strongly recommend not changing anything in the sheet called Dropdown unless you know exactly what it will do. If that doesn't solve the problem for you because you have exceeded 25 cities, I'm sorry to say that I can't really help too much. It's not an impossible task to add more City sheets, just time-consuming because the data get referenced in so many places that adding +'City 26!XY69' or whatever everywhere it needs to go would be a bit of a pain. Though if you are interested, most things get collated in the "City Overview" sheet, so you could probably add the relevant lines there, increment the city number where appropriate, and that would make it work in most circumstances. ![]()

![]() Dex score is given as 26, so... +11/6/1, +8 Dex, +1 WF is +20/15/10. Weapon training and +2 weapon puts it up to +23/18/13. TWF with a light weapon (+2 dagger in off-hand) is -2/-2, so with the three attacks GTWF allows, the full attack combo seems to be: +21/16/11 rapier and +20/15/10 dagger. Unless someone points out a place I'm wrong, of course. ![]()

![]() Obviously not an official answer, but... As I understand it, Open Content is fair game to use in your Pathfinder Infinite products, in much the same way it is for any Third-Party Publisher to use Open Content. Your only obligation is to include the appropriate Section 15 entry in your OGL. Common courtesy suggests that it would be polite to ask permission if you're planning to reprint (even if you're doing a rules system update), but this is not obligatory, though it may be noted by the publisher in question and might be questioned by customers, and could damage your reputation. Having said all that, the OGL is a license and is a legal document. If you are unsure of the appropriate use of it or any portion of it for products you are publishing or planning to publish, it is in your interest to engage a lawyer. ![]()

![]() Well, I must say that I'm very sorry to see you leaving Paizo, Mark (I saw the news pretty much straight away, but I've only just hopped here to comment). On the other hand, RfC is a brilliant move for you, and I am really looking forward to seeing more of the work you do there. I will, of course, never forget the first time you and I seriously interacted on... that question... about size and damage... that was soooooo complex. But an awesome experience nonetheless. Can't wait to see what you do next, and hope I can manage to squeeze more time on live Arcane Mark streams (despite my wife's objections). ![]()

![]() To try and help out the CS team: after you've left it personalizing for 60 seconds and you click on the link again, what happens? The download process is a bit odd, and doesn't work the way you might think: you have to click the product link 3 times during the process: once to personalise, once to prepare the download, and once to actually download it. ![]()

![]() That's a pretty fair point, given how tightly this product ties into Ultimate Relationships and is almost required to make URel work, plus with this being a plug-in for existing AP characters, it might not fall foul of the cultural sensitivity issues that made LG pull the Far East line (a decision I wholeheartedly support, btw). The most significant problem is that it's probably not a huge seller, so the cost of a cultural sensitivity review might be beyond the value this product has to LG. Given how much I love this product and the value it adds to URel, I will see if I can have words with the relevant parties and come to some sort of conclusion. ![]()

In that case time for a small element of education. The term "cis" is actually a chemistry term meaning "on the same side", in contrast to the term "trans" meaning "on the other side". Since the term transgender is used to reference someone who has "changed sides" (ie transitioned from their assigned-at-birth gender), by common usage someone who is cisgender retains their assigned-at-birth gender. In cases where it's clear that gender is being discussed, it is reasonable to shorten both terms to the prefix only. Therefore the term cis is not an acronym or initialism, but a complete term in its own right and does not require capitalisation. This educational moment brought to you by someone who was once offended by the term cis who then got educated and is now a strong advocate for it.
