Charlie wiggles his fingers in front of the dragon

before starting to sweat and needing to gulp away some actual fear

Charlie then closes his eyes and starts to wail away at his opponent after backing away a little bit and getting a running start

Seeing everyone in front of him watching around and carefully placing their feet Charlie looks down at his heavy stumpy feet and wiggles his toes inside his boots before looking up again and waiting to see what they notice before stomping off after them.

Charlie squints his eyes, being able to see in the dark doesn't help a whole lot with determining depts

Thinking heavy thoughts Charlie picks up a biggest, heaviest rock he can to add to his already compact form to make it more difficult to be blown over. Looping the cable around his middle just in case he get's blown away the rest will either go with him, or stop him from moving to far...or possibly being able to do the same for other members of the party.

Rushing forward and mostly likely shakes of people hanging around in the line behind him and he builds up momentum scattering people left and right before he slams into Bogdin.

...before getting tripped by the person behind desperately trying to hang and slowly sliding down his middle to his ankles which seriously messes up Charlies balance and aim as he stumbles into his target.

Let's just stick to what the scenario expects to happen...I just had this mental picture on a ever growing gonga line getting bigger and bigger eternally moving around and around while floating through space.....

Maybe I just need to eat a snack ;)

I know it's not technically in the scenario....but I kind of want to try to get this conga line moving through the exit now (and further into the station, getting bigger and bigger and as we go) and hope that the sheer absurdity of it will prevent the bouncers from trying to stop us from leaving.

Charlie debates going after Oz and then almost trips over the feet of the person in front of him and continues to stomp his big flat feet on the floor in the middle of the...let's call it "distraction"..instead of messing up the chance of going unnoticed that Oz has without Charlie stomping on after him..possibly with an entire conga line in tow.

Looking up and over his shoulder as the conga line starts Charlie excuses himself from the bartender and joins in once he sees who's leading the line figuring that even though he has no clue what so ever what's going on that Smokey would know what's going on (or possibly just needs close supervision and needs to be carefully watched from here on).

Charlie strolls over to one of the bars while avoiding most of the club visitors while trying to appear he isn't actively trying to avoid said people

Shaking his head and blinking his eyes before focusing on the Verthani asking him a question he answers:

"The band?"

"I don't think he's asking about our connection, so he wants to know about the noise I guess ..so this is what goes for music around here...'

Seeing everyone else trying on various disguises Charlie tries to change his appearance as well by sticking a wig on his bald head.

It looks a bit odd as it won't stay in one place and slides around from ear to ear as he walks.

As the Fly-by takes places Charlie wonders why there's blinking lights and beeping going on all over his console but having a big flashing "fire" button appear Charlie pushes the button before pressing the fire controles again to fire the turret at the enemy once more.

Shot for next/this round since it seems I'm behind: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15 possible +2 or +4 bonus depending on captain's action

Getting a bit overenthusiastic by his shots being incredibly lucky so far and actually hitting Charlie continues to push multiple buttons hoping for the best.

Hearing the words of encouragement Charlie peeks through his fingers and sees that the manual he was leafing through is open to the section "firing multiple weapons at once"

" ...that sounds....interesting..."

Using 2 fingers this time around on 2 different buttons Charlie his the fire controls for both the forward laser and the turret

forward laser: 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 4 + 2 + 2 = 6

I'm not 100% sure that encouragement would work on both rolls, it says the bonus is to the action (not to the check)...and the action is to fire twice with 2 rolls for checks, so I think it does?

Unsure of what's going on around him as he keeps his hand in front of his eyes he only notices bleeps and sirine noises. Then hearing Kaixik telling him to keep going Charlie presses the button once more with a finger on his other hand hoping once again for the best.

In my personal experience having to run the entire enemy ship is a lot of work - more so when there's also modifier like glitches - and I tend to forgot to do things like have the captain encourage and roll for evade some/most of the rounds and/or to add the ship bonuses. After the first round or if there are special tactics to follow I tend to just go with repair shields, move the enemy ship and fire their guns. I don't I've ever did a rebalance on shields on an enemy ship. For that reason I kind of like it when they use drones since those don't have shields..if you deal damage -> you deal damage. Nothing to repair, rebalance, keep track of facings and track how many damage which side has, etc

So if you want to try things like fly-by and barrel rolls to make things interesting; go for it ;)

And yes, unless something pushes the issue 1 vs 1 gunner with 1 vs 1 engineer to repair shields means this can take foreeeeeeeever. Since I'm not a very good gunner I'll miss half the time and the damage we'll be dealing is repaired in 2 rounds.

What I've seen from most space combats is to give up having a captain in the captains chair after the first round of trying to intimidate the enemy to give them penalties for hopefully more then 1 round, have him fire a gun and hope for all guns in a round to hit at the same time and overwhelm the shields on one side to deal enough damage to cause a glitch or 2.

I remember one fight where we did as much damage to each other as we could repair in a round and it was going no where until we decided to fly through them and basically got an extra attack vs their weaker side to push the issue and then when we got the advantage call the combat because after the first 2-3 rounds of finding out what the other ship can do it (in my opinion) tends to get boring. More so when there is a "catch" like in the first scenario's published where some ships didn't have guns (or very weak ones) in a certain direction, so if you could maneuver your ship there the enemy could shoot back that round.

The same with missiles...missiles are fun if you are like 20+ hexes apart when you start and you can get a missile or 2 on the map before you get close to firing lasers and stuff....but that almost never happens and when it does happen it tends to be ...underwhelming because they fail to (continue to) hit in the next round.

Hearing Kaixik tell him to take the gun Charlie frantically flips through his manual as he looks up how to actually target anything with one of the ship guns.

Scrolling through the options menu on his screen he passes over the forward, port and starboard options

" ..turret....good, let's pick that one"

Charlie then pushes a button and hopes for the best, one finger of one hand on the trigger and his other hand covering his eyes.

Unsure what's going on with all this science talk Charlie sits in his chair and flips through the manual of the controls he's assigned to.
Matching the numbers on the overview pages corresponding with the controls in front of him.

Only looking up from his study when he hears the mentioning of ununobtanium

I'm assuming that other people are better at this stuff then Charlie will be and I'm not sure that trying to aid would work with these checks? But just in case

Running his finger along the line he's reading Charlie pushes a small lever which according to what he's reading should send additional power to the sensor array boosting the reading Smokey is getting at his station

Charlie rubs his head while thinkin to himself
" ....maybe I should stop giving headbutts..."

as he suddenly looks up as the evidence is discovered

"So...that's it? We're ...done now?"

Having used his head to ram opponents multiple times in his career hasn't left Charlie as the one to do the thinking in many of these assignments ;)

Backing up a few steps Charlie pumps his legs to get a short running start moving forward before leaping into the air at the last moment and using the added momentum to deliver a bigger impact landing with a double handed blow to his opponent.
Seeing his companion trying to keep our opponent alive Charlie turns his hit into a glancing blow at the last moment trying to keep someone around to ask question later.

Still hopping on one foot Charlie looks down on the thug he just dropped with one punch

"Uhm..oops. I didn't intend to hit you _that_ hard.."

before setting his sights on his next target and pointing out one arm, one finger extended.

"But you'rrre next!"

Seeing the grenade fly towards him Charlie turns into the blast and manages to avoid the brunt of it.

Screaming in rage or from the pain of the grenades impact ..or both ...Charlie move is stubby little but powerful legs forward at increasing speed using his forward mass and momentum for added impact

...but on the way there he trips over a small edged piece of metal and he ends up hopping the last few steps which throws of his balance, not to mention his aim.

Slightly frustrated that he can't reach one of the rude gun drawing people to plant his armored fist in their faces Charlie moves a bit forward, drawing his own gun as he moves before pulling the trigger

Hearing his new team mates comment about the job at hand Charlie is confidant that they (at least seem to be) good at their jobs.

Charlie just sits there during the briefing nodding like he knows what's going on.

While he thinks to himself
"...dreaming...sounds kind of out there....I hope one of the otherrs knows more about it..all I can add to that part of the missions is some snorrrring...at least the part about collection things is sort of clearr. Collection things I can do..."

A squat, almost square shaped bald male who looks like he would be a 6 ft body builder if he wouldn't be compressed due to living in a heavy gravity environment arrives panting after running for a while to arrive to the meeting on time, but failing.

before wheezing some more as he tries to catch his breath.

Asking for some inspiration, divine aid or just a encouraging word Charlie is mortified after getting attacked 3 times and hopes to end this quickly

Reading back we got a serum of healing each and the choice of X items, which also included a serum of healing which I picked so I got one more serum of healing this scenario then I remembered. If it's ok, I'll use that other one as well before we start moving
