As the title says I am building a level 10 character. Because of fluff requirements I need to be a Dwarf and use fire arms. I have access to advanced fire arms they just are not cheep. I was thinking of Gunslinger to maximize the gun effectiveness but fluff wise ranger fits better. Now the scenario is based mostly in a haunted castle but there will be times where the range and setting would be fitting natural and or long distances due to dimensional distortion. I could follow the traditional archer rout for the ranger build just subbing out the feats that dont fit and gaining the EWP firearms. But I am not sure that would be enough. Party make up with be just 3 players 1 character each and we will not know what the other characters classes are going to be when we make ours so no help there in filling the gaps. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
For me as a GM I find that the high end is not broken because it should be less about killing stuff every 2 hours but "roleplaying" the characters actions leading up to a major fight. As for the number crunching of various effects, that should be done before any combat is done be it 1st level or 50th level. There is plenty of space on the standard character sheets to place information the is not temporary. This leaves the other items easily scratch papered down and add the numbers together. I have run many a game with spells buffing and de-buffing and then getting dispelled and have no problems keeping things straight with a simple piece of paper to take notes on. Well that was longer then I expected but its a reality you make the game you play so just do what you have fun this.
Great thanks. Here is my concept; A tech priest from a forge world with the background of The Divine Light of Sollex and working towards the Mechanicus Secutor. Personality wise is the small kid having the chance to get back at all of the bullies. Because of the constant state of alertness he has had to keep up planing on taking light sleeper and rapid reload as some of the remaining 900xp. To past the time even when he was little he carved stuff to keep his mind off of his troubles and the hierarchy used those skills to Scrimshaw prayers onto weapons. This is all I can think of right now maybe you have some other ideas to help flesh him out. |
