(( That is one extreme to another... Which building, three are mentioned? Besides small, anything she can identify of the tracks, footprint, hoofprint, that sort of thing ))

The young woman moves with the others and peers about. As she does not immediately recognize the symbol on the doors her gaze continues and is soon fixated upon some sort of tracks.

"There are small tracks leading form here," she points out the location and the path they appear to take, "With the gate to the south and east."

She looks about at the others and asks, "If we are done with that..." She points to the steaming mess, ",shall we continue our search of the colony?"

The woman had already started to back away and moves right behind Rock, "Ah, yeah. Sorry." She says a little embarrassed to be in such a situation.

The young woman gives it the creature a poke with her staff to be sure it is not going to lash out her. She mentions to the others, "The creature spoke the language of water creatures."

She kneels down closer to the creature and looks to see if there is anything of note that she might salvage from it that might be of use.

The young druid stand above the creature on the docks and motions to those still not in the water where the it is.

She does not know if it will really help or hinder but Caroline uses the abilities she was gifted with. A simple chant and she looks through the cracks of the docks and casts a simple spell. There is suddenly light beneath her and into the water around the creature.

The young druid is alarmed and lets out a scream of surprise and jumps slightly but steadies herself as the creature pops up and then she hears it cackling and moving beneath the dock. Her quarterstaff still in hand she follows along above it, "We are not going to sleep!"

"It is moving..." she points below herself.

Caroline looks to Talan and asks in a curious fashion, "Another one? Where might the first one lie?"

She than asks as Rock and Kriznox start up the path, "Should we check them before proceeding for any clues?"

The young druid looks around at the water and hopes not to catch sight of what might be within. One of the mergoblins when the group was on solid ground would be another matter altogether. She looks about and up towards the colony. (( Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 ))

"We should be careful, but hurry as well." The woman says as she takes up her staff feeling better on a more stable surface.

She looks about a few more times before she turns to the dwarf and with a smile and soft words to reassure him all is fine, "Do not fret Baern, it is good to acknowledge ones successes as well. After all, we were ambushed."

The young woman looks about the water for any other foes and as the cheers from the ship die down she sheathes her weapon. Looking the gnome she comments, ”I do not no think anyone ‘wins’ in combat. We drove them back for now. We should hurry to shore and the colony.”

Caroline has a pained face as she comments, ”I hope this, or worse, has not befallen them.”

"Sure, pick on the only woman here." She mutters as the creature turns on her. She slashes out once again at the aqua-goblin before her.

Caroline Attacks who attacked her: 1d20 + 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 - 2 + 1 = 10

Stand still!" She curses in common as her attack seems to go wide again.

She than says in Aquan, "You are nasty little creature!

Caroline draws her weapon at the sight of these small gonblin-like creatures, "My what kind of nasty creature are you?"

She strikes out at the creature with her scimitar from where she is sitting as she does not trust herself like her sturdy dwarven companion. her strike goes awry of the target.

"Ahhh... gentlemen, a set of tentacles where there past the oars and headed underneath the boat." the young woman says in very nervous and worried tone. Caroline points at where she saw them and the way they went. She also grabs at the pommel of her scimitar. She is not looking about the small craft. every which way for the possible danger within the water.

After quickly gathering her armor and weapons. After hastily dawning her items she returns and gets into the small craft, "So sorry."

She looks about, feeling the rush of adrenaline as they make for the shore and colony beyond.

A heads up, gameplay is up!

Both excited and a little uneasy young woman follows the head of the colony. Her long auburn hair flowing about her as she moves hurriedly across to the port deck. Presently dressed in a simple green dress with her small rucksack over her shoulder full of her supplies. The druid listens intently to what is said.

"But of course, Miss Avandth." is Caroline's simple reply after the situation is explained. She takes the offered spyglass and looks out towards the Colony as worry for the friend she was eager to reunite with crosses her face. She looks intently for any sign of... anyone.

Talan: I am not Frisian. I merely looked for a language to be druidic and will use for spellcasting.

Baern sounds reasonable. She would do her morning rituals for spells and such in the early morning just before the sunrises. Perhaps catching her on one of his "late nights" wondering what she was up to. As mentioned she would be helping where she could, help altering winds if needed, healing injured sailors with spells and potions. She is generally just a nice helpful woman, who takes any gesture of friendship at face value. (Unless you/anyone shows to be not worthy of such. Caught in lies, saying one thing and doing anything.)

Recalling the dark rituals she witnessed from past the young woman makes her way down to the lower decks. She was able to capture several rodents over the many weeks of the voyage. She had a place out of the way and much had been prepared. It was not long before she was chanting a low tone in a strange tongue before taking up the small rodents one by one and offering them to the Darkness...

"O Ferlern, ik rop dy.
O Ferlern rop ik dy.
O Lost One, kom nei foaren, d'r is in taak foar jo!
O Yttras, ik rop dy!"

Talan: That is a bummer. If you add it to a spell list it should be scroll/wandable in my opinion. You are basically a mental sorcerer. They did it to the investigator as well, but did not say it in the actual rules (even though an alchemist can.). I was generous enough to have a GM who hand waved that and said I could use wands in that campaign.

I would not worry too much about that Talan. Caroline and Kriznox can also cast cure spells. Hopefully we will be able to purchase a wand at some point and we can all use should the need arise. We have a decent amount of overlap in the support area.

As I mentioned above, Caroline is experiencing a new world. She is also a Herbalist (Profession) so looking for all the new and wonderful ingredients from flora and fauna should be, interesting.

@ Daren: Yes, Caroline still has wild shape starting at level 4. Nothing is different there. (it was a choice of animal companion, 1 domain with powers, or the druidic herbalism)

I figured with the situation we will be finding ourselves, with only what can found or made on site, that the potions will come in very handy. Just like Rock has scribe scroll, save I can make 4 free potions (from any druid spell) per day (given that there is time to do so. Cannot be adventuring or the like as it still takes x time as brew potion)

I am looking forward to doing... something. The few games I am in have come to a screeching halt with the holidays and since I have the week off I have been updating each of them too often waiting for something to happen.

@ Talan: My first time as a druid as well. I am usually a bard/cleric sort of person. Hence if anyone had advice on Caroline, please feel free to let me know. My worry is that I am giving up the animal companion for the potions. I can see the potential in each but I still have to wonder.

I will just need some funds to get some MW lockpikcs (hoping they have some on the Island. And eventually a Composite Bow (+2 str). The joys of a druid 70gp starting gold!

@ Baern A lot of what is happening new to Caroline. So all wide eyed and excited. She loves being on the ocean and helping out with small tasks about the ship. She is friendly to most everyone else they have proven themselves not worthy of such due to their actions.

DM Yttras: I asked earlier, will Disable Device be an important skill that we should have? I know Caroline could get the skill via Wisdom in the Flesh (making it a wisdom based skill at that) Kriznox mentioned he could attempt to get it as well.

I did notice we are lacking Disable Device. While Caroline could get it, but not sure ai want to give up stealth. I guess a question for our DM, is Disable Device going to be important to have?

Milestone advancement is fine by me.

Question: Are you okay with the Druidic Herbalism Nature Bond variant (Optional) of the Nature Bond variant? I am not looking to make lots of gold or the like with this, as I have read c

If "yes you are fine", would the Vaporous Potion work with this?

I am also a player that likes to help round out a part. As such the Wisdom in the Flesh trait (which is making a Dex or Str based skill work off of Wis and makes it a class skill: Currently stealth, but if we have no one with a good disable device I would take that and help there if needed as well.
