I don't know how the hill goes over the map and when we can get to the lift. But I can double move 80 ft & run 160 ft, either of these should get me there I think. :) Don't really know where I would end up, so you can place me if you want.

Was more a suggestion for if the workers could get there fast (through the side hallway we had found) and maybe throw some of the bunks of the old barracks in front of that doorway (and if possible put the flame to it, as I think spider would not want to go through fire right now).

But only if it's possible of course.

Well, if we want to create choke points, we must also make one at the entrance to the old barracks (map name) from the scorpion room. So that it won't run away into the unexplored bits.

So recap of the current situation :
- Spider is crawling up due to being hurt by us a lot.
- The originally caught worker is still hanging cocooned in square K32.
- Some of party 1 are running outside to get back to the original landing where we had fought the spider the firs time around.
- Some of party 2 are going into the room from which they originally came to heal and try to get the spider there.
- Many of us are seriously injured, so prolonging the fight is not a good thing :)

Here's what I'm thinking :
- Best bet would be that someone warns Fala and whatever crew is near the lift to start burning the remaining webs in the landing room & maybe even start a fire proper to deter the spider from going that way.
- If this works it would most likely flee to the room on the map called 'scorpion room), it would be best if we can contain it there.
- Some people should best stay down near the other exits so it won't come out at those spots again (don't want to have a spider jojo going on where it goes up and down an up and down, etc...
- Those people can then help the foreman & the still trapped worker.
- I was planning on also going up to the original entrance, because with my speed of 40, I can make it there in a few turns.

Any other ideas/comments/suggestions/...?

Nis can you spark square J37? Then I can get to square J36 and heal Bladud or Torgan. I'd jump/climb over the rise, but I think I'll fail a DC 15 climb/jump check, and my speed of 40 can get me to square J36 without a problem. Just don't want to get stuck in the spider web still at J37 :)

We are currently waiting on the DM who said there were some delays.

Wow that spider does a lot of damage .... Did Bladud clear the square he was in of webbing? I'm just wondering if would be able to strike the spider from the spot behind bladud without having to worry about concealment and such.
Not certain if Dvalin agreed with it or not, but he could take the elixir to make blasts from a distance against the spider.

Ok, so single target 4d6 fire blasts up to 3 times within a timespan of 1 hour.

Might be best for you then Dvalin. If we can clear enough of the webbing with fire from the torches, you can shoot the blasts at the spider then?

@GM, what does the potion of Dragon's Breath do?
Does it work like the spell Dragon's Breath (if so at what caster lvl & which type?) or is it an elixir of Fire Breath or is it like the spell Fire Breath (if so at what caster lvl?) or still something else?

I'm such a fool, I ask for fire, but forget to mention that I got a bunch of torches in my backpack, Cadeyrn thought when he heard Nisfeollyn shouting for torches.
"I've got some torches in my backpack! The rest of you go to the pit, there's extra torches coming up", he said to the workers. "When I'm not to busy fighting, I can summon forth water with my powers if someone is in immediate danger of burning."

Can I talk outside my turn, otherwise he'll be saying this as soon as he can in the next round ;)

Just to clear one thing up for both groups. (As I think our idea of going at it with torches might be a bit slow :))

You stated the following about the webs :
The green area is webbing. It is identical in effect to a DC 17 Web spell with the following change- Violent movement will cause a new save to avoid getting stuck (falling down, being bull rushed, etc.)

Keep in mind that webs are Difficult Terrain, and provide Cover. No one can see more than 20 feet through the webs.

Am I correct in thinking that :
- When you get in the webbing you need to make the DC 17 reflex save or get caught.
- If you get caught you need to make a DC 17 Strength or Escape Artist check.
- Once you are free (or didn't get caught in the first place), you are free to move, albeit with only limited speed due to difficult terrain.
- You only need to make a new save if you move violently (falling down, being bull rushed, etc...)

I mostly ask this because I saw Hallvarðr make another reflex save, which in his case wouldn't be necessary if I am correct :)

Cadeyrn cast a spell on his Lucerne hammer and moved towards the cave entrance, positioning himself in front of Nisfeollyn, in case the spider would try to get him as well. Upon seeing all the webbing Cadeyrn shouted "Loads of webbing here, so be careful! If we got some fire we could maybe try and clear some of it!"

Metal bubbles up from his hands and solidified in the shape of a cold-iron lucerne hammer.

Move from C19 to B27 (should be 40 feet), Standard action to activate Iron Weapon Revelation for a Lucerne Hammer. And like the rest of them, I too cannot see spider on map. I suppose it's somewhere around B35 to D35 area.

But as I stated before, I understand everyone's concerns. And I like the groups as they are now.

But first our group needs to figure out what that ogre was wearing, with the size of his feet/hands we should be capable of making at least 2 sets of boots/gloves ;)

@Torgan, I get the issue of "downtime" for those that would be resting.

I just have a gut feeling the spider is much closer than we all might have thought. I think it went to the area of the map that starts at D33 and here is why :
- Spider shouldn't be down the paths we have been going. Seeing as you guys fought through quite some nasties as well. (as you went through a lot of your powers from what I read here)
- both teams have also found no more visible trace of spider/worker at the points they reached and with us that was already early in our trek.
I'm just going of assumption here, as I do seem to remember you reporting not finding anything on your end.
- there's webbing in squares D33 & D32.

I'm not certain how far that part of the map will stretch, but I'd think it be worth a shot.

half of our group still is ability damage free and have some capabilities left. And our cleric could restore at least 1d4 ability damage of 1 person today as he still has an open 2nd level spell slot (which can be filled with Lesser Restoration)

I know he may just be nameless worker number 1 and we have done quite some effort trying to find/save him. I'm just thinking there might still be a possibility to actually find him alive. If nobody feels for it, I'm fine either way :)

When Cadeyrn was certain the ogre was truly dealth with he doused the body and matresses by creating water. Cadeyrn then turned to Bladud,
"Bladud, you hadn't found any trace of the spider on this end anymore, am I right?" Cadeyrn paused for a moment and then spoke to the group as a whole, "Maybe we can try the path the other team used and continue where they currently cannot? Are you all still feeling up for crushing that spider and saving the worker?"

Nisfeollyn had moved back after casting his spell, so only that could see was me peeking around the corner

Cadeyrn peeked around the corner and saw that the ogre had trouble getting out of the pit and the leeches had dispersed. He moved forward while swinging his Lucerne hammer in a violent motion to get extra momentum for when he would bring it down upon the ogre.
