BUBBA AIN'T THE BRIGHTEST KNIFE IN THE SHED! BUBBA CAN'T HELP YOU!

Sczarni

SONGS BUBBA DON'T LIKE MAKE BUBBA GET MAD! LOTSA THINGS MAKE BUBBA GET MAD! BUBBA LIKE KILLIN' MONSTERS! BUBBA WANTS TO CAST SPELLS, BUT NOT WITH BOOK LIKE WIZARDS!

I hope the class is not changed too much from the playtest version. I really like the aberrant bloodline.

Sczarni

WIZARDS IS SELFISH CUSSES AND THEY DON'T WANNA HEAL NOBODY!

Sczarni

BUBBA DOES THIS, BUT IT DON'T MATTER! AIN'T NOBODY EVER SURVIVED A CRITICAL HIT FROM BUBBA!

Staggering Strike (Su): Starting at 1st level, when you
confirm a critical hit, the target must succeed a Fortitude
saving throw (DC = 10 + 1/2 your bloodrager level + your
Constitution modifier) or be staggered for 1 round. These
effects stack with the Staggering Critical feat. The target
must save against each effect individually.

Yeah! Me and Hubba Bubba are great Zarniests. We zarny-it-up all the time. Besides what's the point of a name? Some scaredy-spear once said a Gnome calleded by any other name would still be the awesomerest!

Hubba Bubba? I been called worse, I suppose, but not by anybody still alive. Most people don't stay alive too long when Bubba gets mad.

I ain't too sharp, but I can pick up heavy things. Ain't there some kinda magic things to make you stronger?"

I like a lot of it; Slayer is the "Full BAB Rogue" that people have said needed to be created for a while. Warpriests are pretty amazing; Arcanist and Bloodrager are "meh", Brawler makes core Monks look terrible (few things don't though; so this is OK), Swashbuckler is "good but narrow-focused"; you can really only create one character out of it.. it's solid, but really I prefer classes with options. I have yet to see a Shaman in play so can't comment, but they seem good in option. I think hunter needs a bit more "Oomph".

Bloodrager is 'meh'?! Don't make Bubba mad!

I would ban the name "Bob." Any character/companion/eidolon/mount/familiar named "Bob" would be excised from the Society unless they get an atonement and an official name change.

I hope you ain't gonna kick Bubba out. "Bubba" kinda sounds like "Bob".

My favorite is the first version of the bloodrager.

He had everything I wanted. Full bab and medium armor to get in close and hit people and the magic stuff to have versatility when needed. And all this without having a divine boss who can always threaten to take my magic away.

BUBBA LIKES TO PUT HIS AX IN MONSTERS' HEADS!

SOME DAY BUBBA GONNA CAST SPELLS!

Shoot, Bubba ain't shure how to say "Anbabms". But Bubba's always gonna help get stuff done fer the boss.

It just occurred to me: the save DC for Staggering Strike is based on CON modifier - is that the CON modifier while raging?

Sczarni

I have to disagree with the idea of Constitution-based casting. Casting is a function of the mind, not the body.

I know ive mentioned this before but i feel the bloodrager is far more interesting when it's not about him being angry so much as him being unstable....

That's where I got the name - and the character's personality.

So far, the aberrant first-level rage power (Fortitude save to avoid being staggered) is irrelevant. Every time I score a critical hit, I kill my opponent. Maybe I will get to use it at higher levels.

Confirmed crit damage: battle ax, 2-handed, 23 STR, Killer trait: 3d8+30

19 str(out of rage)? that's quite high considering you want con and cha too

I see the class as BARBARIAN/sorcerer. Bubbs's CHA is 12, to be increased at level 8. Granted, Bubba's CON could be higher, but the Toughnes feat kinda compensates. Actually, critical hits when I'm not in bloodrage often kill opponents, too.

Anyway, Bubbs is a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Yes, but only while raging.

Yeah - I should have said that.

I have a question about the aberrant bloodline 4th level bloodrage power.

Advanced Race Guide, Bloodrager Aberrant Bloodline wrote:
Abnormal Reach (Su): At 4th level, your reach increases by 5 feet.
Core Rulebook, Sorcerer Aberrant Bloodline wrote:
Long Limbs (Ex): At 3rd level, your reach increases by 5 feet whenever you are making a melee touch attack. This ability does not otherwise increase your threatened area. At 11th level, this bonus to your reach increases to 10 feet. At 17th level, this bonus to your reach increases to 15 feet.

(emphasis mine)

Given that the Core Rulebook specifically calls out limitations to the ability (only for touch attacks, no change to threatened area) but the Advanced Class Guide does not, I conclude that the bloodrager has additional 5' reach with no restrictions.

Agreed?
