"A glorious victory!" Brayden exclaims, sheathing his sword and smiling at the others. He gets a closer look at the golem, seeing what he might find. I take it the key that it needs is the key in that fountain, which we still have no way of getting...

We just finished up yesterday. The final boss left Maladash's gnome with 1 HP and took out a big chunk of another PC's HP, but their level 4 fighter managed to kill it in two strikes.

I'll be traveling April 29th - May 6th, so I won't be able to post at all. I'm off to get married.

Brayden jumps up and readies his shield. He pulls out his wand and sends positive energy at the blue skeleton. CLW: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 If you're not going to let me both ready my shield and take out my wand, choose the wand.

Cmon Chyrone... Positive energy should have stopped this from happening? What's this reanimation ability called? Looked on SRD, it's Deathless, isn't it? Which says that bit about positive energy.

Brayden sits up, looking at Maladash. "Once again, the Paladin of Chaos saves the Paladin. Thank you." He exhales, disappointed in himself, and stands up. "I see you were able to take care of this evil. A job well done. I am still weakened from the ghost we encountered, as is Mercutio... Let's rest, but..." he looks at the piles of bones, "Perhaps we can purify these remains first?" Will you have me use four charges for each one, or just one if I arrange the bones in a pile?

Are those skeletons' "corpses" just lying on the ground? Maybe we should move them out of the room before resting, or... would positive energy cause them to turn into dust? I've seen too many zombie movies to not know where this is going, especially with Chyrone's hinting ;)

Well, the creature in question is the leader of a gang of goblins who are plotting to take over a city. The PCs went into the sewers and made their way to the boss, and I'd say she did expect to encounter the Pathfinders at this point. She doesn't really answer to anyone but herself. Her religious beliefs aren't stated, and she's a Chaotic Evil Bugbear. I read what I could on bugbears, but they're really just another creature without much lore. Right now, she's trying to engage the PCs in negotiations. She keeps asking them to come closer into the room so that one of them will fall into a trap, initiating combat. She's hiding this, obviously. Now, would an intimidate check cause her to reveal her tactics, or just make her admit that she doesn't really plan on negotiating with the PCs at all? Or... perhaps something in the middle of those two options.

On an unrelated note...

I can already see where this is going. Can't access map right now, so just whichever one is nearest. Brayden drops his sword, takes out his wand, and gives the nearest skeleton a bath of light. CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

"More undead fiends, eh? No problem," Brayden says as he takes a five foot step, pulls out his longsword and shield and strikes at the blue skeleton. Longsword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 151d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

"I'm inclined to believe that key will not work... Let's instead head into this large room." Brayden looks around for traps or evil beings while heading into the room.Am I playing alone? Come on guys, help a Paladin out. Perception: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1

I found mine just from refreshing the Recruitment forum a lot. I spend a lot of time on these forums in general. My job sometimes gives me the flexibility of being able to do this during the day, it really depends on how busy I am. That's IT for you...

Frog God Games - The Northlands Saga. Yes, I could, but I'd have to butcher his story. That, and we even spent time forming relationships with every other character in the party. I feel invested in that regard. I think I'll give it another week and then decide. I don't think they'll have trouble finding another player.

Brayden takes out a torch and lights it. He begins to think about where they'd been so far. "If I remember correctly, the other door in this room cannot yet be opened. At least, not with the key Licen found. I think our only way to go right now is upstairs."

Ah, APs... I joined Skulls and Shackles and it's been quite fun.
Spoiler: I joined a third-party one as well, but the GM disappeared, and now we've got this new GM ... He's basically turned it into a homebrew campaign since he doesn't have the book. I would drop out, but I'd spent a lot of time building that character's backstory, and I feel somewhat rude just all of a sudden saying, "Sorry, but I'm not having fun any longer."

That's Ryuk, a god of death from an anime called Death Note. Somewhat of a classic, actually. Brayden pulls out his bedroll and places it on the ground. He gets in and he sets up a torch nearby as something of a nightlight, although he would never admit to being scared.

Quote: Use a Wand, Staff, or Other Spell Trigger Item: Normally, to use a wand, you must have the wand's spell on your class spell list. This use of the skill allows you to use a wand as if you had a particular spell on your class spell list. Failing the roll does not expend a charge. I'm in favor of resting too. We can take turns standing guard if needed.

If only Brayden could Channel Energy... Brayden stands up and looks around. He sees the ground and his comrades quite literally covered in arrows. He pulls out his wand and waves it around his friends a few times. The room grows so brightly with the energy coming out of his wand that he can now see the holes from where the arrows came out of. CLW (self): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
