Bernard is happy to be back out into society, he makes sure to quickly ask the nearest prestigitation caster to shower him so he is more presentable. Once all the pleasentries are over with, he points at Gandors menacingly, "Yoo, good sir, are a shambling and bumbling fool! A real price would noot get high on any mooshroom he find's on the street! He woold drink good liquer! And with that, my friends, bon soir!"

Bernard looks around at his allies, who completely destroy the final demon, as he puts away his bow. He applauds the performance, "Woonderful! Absolutely woonderful! Now, do yoo think is place is what that crazy fella was talking aboot? I mean, these mooshrooms, this piece of stool throne...?"

During the suprise round, Bernard steps up and stabs at the ranger at the back. "Suproose!"

Bernard follows the lead of his team, also covering himself with rags. He has his rapier at the ready, waiting to pounce.

Bernard pitches in, "We can noot let these bantoots keep harassing this poor priest."[b] He waves his hand around at the state of the church, pointing out how disheveled everything is. [b]"He is dooing good woork. We should stay to help."

He looks around, "There is noot much places to hide here, unless you wish to stake oot inside the filthy water." He takes a sip from his flask, "We could barricade ourselves inside, and wait foor them to barge in unsuspecting the Almsman has new security!"

Happy to go with any plan, Bernard will prepare by sharpening his pointy weapon. And with moving things in/out of the way.

Bernard will stand by the door and keep watch.

Bernard backs off, having no way of dealing with the swarm.

Bernard nods, "Indeed. See tat hoolow pint aboove teh rubble? That's flammable gas. Don't threw any fire around..."

The half awake man takes a swig from his own flask to join in on the drinking, before having a laugh with the young wizard, "Ahah! Yangrit will be 'ight, lad. Thoose dwarven wimen, yoo knoo how 'ey are? Besides, that flooding proble'm was noo joke. Good times, good times..."

"I don't have time to waste on such frivolous matters. It is better to spend that time practicing my skills." Johann lets out a sigh.

"Ahhhh, another man oof skill and practice! I too loove to train in my spare time, with my s'word." The man drunkinly takes out his rapier and shows it off to everyone, thin and skinny like he is, flicks it around in the air like he just don't care, barely missing from nicking someone. "Boot, between the trainin', it's back to the hoose of Caiden i goo. You shoold loosen' up, lad. Yoor shoulders ar' a litt'le stiff."

He winks at Sylvester's quips about the local tavern.

The man in the hat who was sleeping for half of the introduction quickly wakes up. He takes a swig of something strong from his hip flask, which brings back some colour back to his face. He sounds confidents and calm about this whole situations as he joins the conversation. "Ehhhh, what time of day is it... Eeeeeeh, is Bernard 'ere. Joost checking in." He tilts his hat towards the group.

"Any boon, ye say?" Smiling at Grandos. "How aboot ye joost owe pe a pint, after all 'is is finished. And a new pair of booties for swigging around in the sewers. Cause that's where we going? Can yo draw oos a map?"

"Well that isn't something you see everyday! Fox man, bring back the Venture Captain!" he threatens the fox by raising his bow at him.

"Huh? What, have you gone crazy, why are you attacking a Venture Captain!?" Bernard looks suprised and shocked both at the same time, as he takes a swig from his flask.

"But we've searched the entire archives, there is no where left to look. You're a smart guy, Shaine, how many more pieces do you think there could be?" He pauses, "Or where else do we look?"

Bernard gives details about all the locations they have scouted, before coming up here...

"Interesting, Shaine how did you happen across that piece anyway?" he sighs, "They read as if there is an order to these exerts. Perhaps we can rearange them to make more sense?" he comments, without moving up in the room.

Bernard nods at Hannar, "Indeed. Hey Virml, do you know our captain here?" hoping the pathfinder would have some memories of dealing with Shaine.

Otherwise, Bernard is very relaxed, and calm and has not drawn any weapons.

"The fragments are all part of some sort of poem or riddle. But it seems as though whatever is written on the paper comes to life after it is read. It is like the entire archives are out of some sort of fairytale...it's a nightmare!" The ranger take a swig from his flask, really not knowing what to do with any of this information that is being shared around.

"Maybe you can take a look at the fragments we have, sir?" he offers as a passing suggestion.

"Should we share with the venture captain the poems we found?"

Bernard waits impatiently with his bow ready, on the stairwell, "Hey, you know i could have had at least one drink in the time it's taken you to look for traps on that door. For Caiden's sake, just open et!"

"Or they could be twins?" He comments at the possibility of there being two Virmls.

"Whatever the case, we should go upstairs and search the mezzanine and see if we can find the rest of the poem fragments up there. There is no point staying down here for much longer, otherwise Yangrit might drown." He jokes openly, hoping his dwarven friend won't take offence.

Bernard opens the door, and lets some light inside to have a look around. He moves into the room slighly.

"You're welcome. You coming with us?" He follows Deluge up to the door on the left. "Shall we open this one?"

If he doesn't see any traps, he opens the door.

"Errr, if i can get you out - THEN you owe me a drink sir!" he tries as many more times as he has to, or until he completely breaks the lock.

He slows down, letting Yangrit blow her frustration out on him. "It
's okay, Ms Foehammer. This is not a usual situation we find ourselves in, save your strength for the swim back." He smiles at the dwarf, not knowing if his words are of any consequence.

Bernard lets the man hold his liquer, while he takes out his theif tools and starts to pick the lock on the cage. "You owe me a refill, Virml."

Bernard points at the scroll they found on this sublevel, "Huh? So you read this scroll and those fairies appeared? The ones with the nice voices? Quickly! Xisius, read it out loud again! Make them come back!" he smiles widely, unsure if it's still that creatures spell which has him mesmerized, or the booze. The ranger shrugs it off as a quick joke, and continues, "Sounds like whatever we are encountering in these archives, are coming out of these scrolls. Think about it, we found an albatross and and owl ... the giant bird and worm ... and now that tooth fairy? Whatever is happening must be connected to whatever this rhyme or riddle is." He takes a sip from his flask.

He looks at Virml, "Who are we...? That's doesn't matter - want a drink?" he offers the trapped man his flask.

"Sure thing, i will gladly heal you with your own wand." He takes it an proceeds to tap the monk once.

"Anyone else?"

Bernard slowly regains his senses, and looks at his team who are bruised and battered, "Huh? What did I miss? ...and more importantly, where did that music go?" He questions, as he maintains to hum the tune that had his mesmerized for such a long time.
