Uh huh. I will refrain from getting in the way of your fun and resign then. Enjoy.

All of the above. The posts shaming people for not posting don't help either.

Ok. I can't guarantee daily.

Yup. They gave me two. After 6 weeks of nights I had 2 days to swap over.

Yeah. Not always planned. I did 10 hours of plumbing crap show on Saturday, and on Sunday I had to tear down a fence before the game, as well as a commitment immediately after. On top of that I transitioned from working till midnight to a 6 am start.

Sorry for missing a day without warning.

Hey, who couldn't? :)

Yeah. Bad plan. Thing has already been scouted. Should have gone to the wagons.

I thought this WAS an oriental area? The world description says we lived in Canton?

Har-har!

Yup. That makes us Cantonese.

My cha was 12, and if you want point buy I would take the lvl 8bump out of my dex and put it in INT Don't worry about it. I will tweak her. I kind of wanted to change my equipment anyway

I deleted it to keep from messing up the flow

Yeah, posting on gameplay does it

Weird. I posted as amelia here, and nothing

lets see :)

Oh....I just assumed you did that last time

On an unrelated note, you should add us to the campaign so we can get here just by looking at our profile.

That should be left to the parties involved to make that kind of statement. Everything else is hearesay and rumor. I was also petitioning for a full party swap.

If whoever of Kevin and Jesse want to make up new characters we can do that starting today.

?

Yeah....except no. Because we were cousins I would back his play. I would not blindly back the plays of someone I just met. That would be ignoring rp for the sake of party cohesion.

I agree. Dakkar and Chern being cousins lent legitimacy and made it WAY easier to get everyone together.

I'm also trying to decide whether this format would be better for "One shot" games where you get to try different classes and races in a short term format, or for long term campaigns with an information tab to remind you of things. I loved the campaign info tab, BTW.

I actually really enjoyed the format, and would like to continue. You started this to showcase all teh adventures you have that we never get to, so it totally succeeded in that respect. This format also allows us to actually have more a pure RPG format without worrying about hurting anyone's feelings. That said, Dakkar would not adventure with either Orderic or Balder again. If we are to continue I think we should create a new party.

Growling something about stupid f~!*ing fights that could have been avoided dakkar grows big and swings his club.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

I will cast goodberry twice, and use it to fill all to full :)

2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4

huzzah! Dakkar is planning on having the pelts turned into something for each party member. Suggestions?

...

Dakkar, Round 3, Init 16

The worg stank of blood and death. Dakkar felt it's evil yellow teeth sink deep into the wood of his shield and wrench his arm hard to the left.

"Gotta keep him occupied. Gotta stay alive till Chern can pitch in " he repeated in his head over and over again.

With tremendous effort Dakkar wrenched his shield back into position and swung his club low, more to keep the creature off balance than to injure it.

1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 4 = 7
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

fighting defensively. ac is now 18

Just wanted to check: Did we get a full rest in before this fight?

Ok! We are one post away from action! Huzzah!

Kev. It is hard to take you seriously when you are arguing that we should trust you based on the fact that we didn't see you steal anything. I was serious the other night when I said if Dakkar had seen it he would have taken care of you; mountain man style. My character is judging you based solely on your actions and words.

Yeah....I've kinda been wondering about that :p

That sounds mighty cool. So many things that could be done. The PbP group could dislike the live group, or they could idolize them, or be unaware of them.

Just think of all those hooks we didn't grab. Now we could :)

Wow. That's fantastic to hear. I had hoped this format would work better and it certainly does. I like it a lot and we've already seen more in depth roleplaying here than at the table in ages. Of course, tomorrow that will change, right guys?

I would be all for running the Emerald Sky campaign on here, despite the huge amount of work that would entail. My concern, however, is that some people just don't have the access to the boards they would need to be thriving members. D is locked out for most of every day and we have seen that he is by far the least involved as a result (while his Brunt is a scene stealer and active protagonist in the live game and a source of great flavor). Rich is in the same boat much of the time as far as access goes and both have lots on their plates outside of the game as well.

Asking them to triple it up (Darkmoon Vale, Emerld Sky Sunday Side, Emerald Sky Seconds) may far exceed their ability to participate.

But the idea is a great one.

Ah, but there is the rub. Rich and D are uncontested scene stealers in the live game (not a bad thing), but the medium of Skype makes it more difficult for me to RP unless everyone is absolutely silent (unwarranted and unlikely). Having both forum and live RP offers more opportunity to those of us who don't get as much spotlight in the live game. It evens things out a bit.

I was also figuring that darkmoon vale would morph into the second emerald sky campaign rather than having 3.

Hmmm...this is kind of something I was talking about a while ago when we were talking about PBEM. A two medium campaign. If you think about it we almost never get to all those little character qwirks or RP opportunities, and they just wither and die. Consider this: a campaign that we play in person on Sunday, but with additional RP and opportunities throughout the week via forum posts. Before luke starts demanding a salary for all this work, I will point out he is already doing that for 2 separate campaigns, and it would in fact be easier to do live and in forum for the same campaign world and characters.

Or...we can run a second emerald sky campaign on forums with our backup characters. It would help to flesh them out.

I think it is safe to say at this point that PbP is an unqualified success

Ok, now let me be the odd voice with a differing opinion. While the game is fun, it must remain fun to be fun. I Skype in every week, more to goof around with you guys. I like good stories, but I enjoy having fun with my friends more. Not being able to talk about things or say funny things kind of takes away from that for me.

ha

Dakkar sank to one knee, exhausted. With every huffing breath he deflated more and more until he resumed his normal size. With shaking hands he reached into the pouch on his belt and withdrew a handful of blackberries from his diminishing supply. Speaking two words of power the berries started to sparkle with starlight. Popping two of the berries into his mouth his breathing slowed and colour returned.

Getting to his feet, he went to his companions and offered each of them some of his magical berries.

"You have some good instincts on ya, Orderic" he said to the shadowy man, as he offered him the magic berries "We got to be more careful. No more rushin' in. How bout you lead the way fer us. Show us how ta be careful"

goodberry 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
goodberry 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5

Ok, so I have 9 hp of healing available. I'll give 2 to Orderic and 5 to Balder and 2 to me. That will put Balder and myself at 8 and Orderic at 9. That's it for my healing though.

...

I think he gets 6 rounds. Just like I get 6 rounds big

Um,don't forget Orderic's grapple.

Yeah, I know :)

Yeah... I was kind of hesitant to throw my action up there since I technically go after the skeletons. Due to the delay on posts I will put in a bunch of

Spoiler:
.
for different potential actions.

If I am enlarged and readying I would have taken Balder's bonus should have done 4d6+6 (2d6+3 doubled)

I have 2 good berry spells that allow me to allocate healing on a hit point by hit point basis. No wasting.

Ok, so I think we should assume that every one is fully healed going into the final (maybe) area. With two healers in the party it is pretty much assured. I also think we should do a little bit of temporary treasure allocation. It is better to use it in any fights that come up, rather than have it sit. This doesn't mean it is permanently assigned but it could be handy. I can use a great axe as a half orc, so I think I should grab that for when things get hairy. If no one wants the amulet I will take that as well. I think we need to assign the potions, as they may come up.

every post. pass.

I am posting from work and on mobile devices. I probably won't.

It would be 12 if your norm is 13. You lost 3 points, right? Same bonus so you wouldn't be down any hp. That would be after 8 hours full resting.

The giant Dakkar backs away slowly, his eyes never leaving the pregnant creature. The unpredictable nature of a cornered mother is well known to the beast inside. Once he had cleared the underbrush he deflated to normal size and called to the others

"we should leave. Females protecting their young have the strength of ten. Grab what you can. I don't think we will be followed"

I didn't actually bellow. That was all in my head

"CHALLENGE"! screamed the voice in Dakkar's head and the primal spirit took control. An instant later the beast faced twelve feet of green monster, growling and asserting dominance.

Wild empathy 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Sounds good to me

Muddy removed his spool of rope from under the sleeping fox to much sleepy growling and angry yips. Waiting until the fox had settled again he carefully made his way to the bodies and began tying one end of his rope around the first. Dropping the other end to his companions he called out:

"Lower em gently. They look...uhh....gooey".
