Nope

i like your bag.
Balder walked over to where Emrys spoke to the dead man.
I don't think he'd mine master Emrys. His use for the thing is at an end. Though if you feel the need, you could always ask him?
He's dead. He can't answer questions. Unless you cast a spell, but I can't cast that spell.

DM: Hearing nothing below, Orderic kicks the massive spider over the railing to plummet to the floor below. It's abdomen explodes on impact, spraying fluid in all directions.
When nothing happens, he makes his way carefully downwards, nimbly crossing the gaps in the staircase to the storeroom as it creaks and groans, swaying alarmingly under his weight.
Though the supplies in the containers below have spoiled, he does find a package wrapped in oilcloth behind one of the barrels, a package containing a shortsword of polished steel. The guards are styled like the curling horns of some sort of mountain goat and the hilt is wrapped in straps of red leather.
The doorway out to the courtyard is the only other feature if the place, unless you count the very dead giant spider.
Rejoin the group?
Orderic grips the sword and gives it a few test swing to check it balance. "Not a bad blade.
After a few swings he rolls it back up in the oil cloth and ties it to his backpack, and repositions his cloak.
He moves a few of the containers around to see if anything may have fallen behind then.
Once he is certain that there is nothing else left of not in the room, he checks the door for traps, a exits via the door.

Droskar's Crucible - Courtyard
Day 6, Early Afternoon
The doorway to the watchtower swung open and Orderic walked out, brushing a few stray cobwebs from his cloak.
Dakkar spent a few minutes outlining his plan for an ambush and each person's part in it, except for Orderic.
The druid turned to the rogue and said "Where do you see yourself as being most useful in my plan?"
Becuase Orderic is the only one at loose ends really as far as the plan goes.

"sleeping out here in the open may not be wise. There is a storage room back there that is better fortified. The door can be bared, and the trapdoor in the roof can also be sealed shut. The razorcrows can attack while we sleep, and I am sure what ever is down that door will not think twice about firing off another ranged attack."
Looking around the group.
"Is there any reason why you are waiting?"

Droskar's Crucible - Courtyard
Day 6, Night
Dakkar Mudwater pressed himself into the narrow space behind the old well and waited, leaning slowly from side to side to side to keep blood flowing in his legs. He couldn’t see Chern, but knew his cousin was behind the half-opened door nearest him, just as Balder was hunkered behind the far door.
Emrys watched from the storeroom at the base of the old watchtower with Orderic.
The moon slipped in and out of cloud.
Dakkar waited…..and waited…..
A blur of movement was the only warning as two grey shapes burst into the courtyard and fell upon the groups sleeping rolls in a rush, snarling and biting savagely.
Wolves! Dakkar thought.
Stuffing flew as they ripped, tearing the throats from the false Balder and Chern. One raised its head from a tattered bedroll and spat out a mouthful of feathers. It spied the mule tied up at the edge of the courtyard and growled, deep and low.
A second pair of wolves answered the growling call and raced from the open double doors of the monastery, their howls turning to cries of pain as Chern’s bear traps snapped shut on one's legs. The other leapt clear and rushed between Chern and Balder.
Before it even knew they were there, Cherns blade slid between its ribs and Balders flail crushed its spine, killing it instantly.

Dakkar's Ambush Round Update
Dakkar rushed from cover and jabbed his club at the wolf's snapping jaws.
"Ooo, that gon' be a nice coat come winter" the half-orc drawled as he raised his shield.
Balder rushed past, his flail tearing a tuft of grey hair from the far wolf but doing no lasting harm. The wolf's teeth snapped shut on the skald's lower leg and he toppled forward, falling onto his face in front of the snarling beast.
Unseen to all, Orderic slid along the monasteries outer wall, moving only when clouds dimmed the moons light. He kept his gaze fixed on the shadowed doorway where the knife had been thrown from earlier, wary and with rapier in hand.
Chern spun and leapt, his shortsword keeping the wolf's bite at bay while he moved into position. His dagger darted forward, sinking to the hilt in the wolf's skull, sending it crashing to the ground.
The wolf caught in Chern's bear trap tore at its prison without effect, blood dripping to the courtyards dirt.

Dakkar’s Ambush Round 2 Update
Dakkar bulled forward in a rush, growing into a giant as he ran. His shield lengthened, widening into a wooden wall that slammed into the wolf and hurled it physically away from the fallen skald.
The wolf landed ten feet away in the dirt and rolled instantly to its feet but the druid stood between it and its prize. It hurled itself towards the druid anyway, trying to find a gap.
Dakkar’s club crashed down, driving it back.
.
Balder crawled backwards and groggily stood up, a dozen bleeding holes in his leg.
Chern ripped his second blade from the first fallen wolf and moved towards the wolf as it nipped at the druid's legs, his blade narrowly missing it.
Had to take a move action due to the Bull Rush so only the first attack got off. Chern is now adjacent to Wolf #3.
Orderic slipped into the deep shadows beside the double doors, avoiding the snapping jaws of the trapped wolf as it lunged at him.
Another pulse of magic rippled through the air, cracking off the broken bricks of the monastery wall.
The double doors smashed open as a massive furry shape rushed from the monastery to stand revealed in the silver moonlight. The size of a pony, the massive wolf regarded the party for a moment. An evil intelligence shone from the blood-red orbs and it gnashed its teeth, drooling in anticipation of fresh meat.

The worg's lips peeled back. "Gurtlekep was honest for once. More fools have come for the slaughter. Good. The larger you are the more there is of you feast upon."
Orderic held hid breath as the worg spoke and stabbed out as the beast rushed past, unaware of his presence, driving his rapier into its hip.
The worg came on in a rush and a flare of magic tore into its face, blinding it for a moment. Dakkar's club swung to meet it, the two colliding with a crash.

Dakkar, Round 3, Init 16
The worg stank of blood and death. Dakkar felt it's evil yellow teeth sink deep into the wood of his shield and wrench his arm hard to the left.
"Gotta keep him occupied. Gotta stay alive till Chern can pitch in " he repeated in his head over and over again.
With tremendous effort Dakkar wrenched his shield back into position and swung his club low, more to keep the creature off balance than to injure it.

the readied action only continues till a new threat appears -like a worg.
oh dear, that is a big bad dog. No, we don't like that at all. Emrys scowled and focused on the beast, lining his staff up as an archer lines up an arrow, he real eased the staff to hurtle to the things skull.

Dakkar’s Ambush Round 4 Update
Dakkar slammed his shield again and again against the worg, driving it off balance and keeping its fangs from his flesh as best he could. The worg was too fast, too strong, and tore the druids legs out from under him, sending him bleeding to the ground.
Balder limped in from the side, his barbed flail thumping into the worg’s shoulder as Chern maneuvered to the beasts other side.
Orderic tested the reach of the wolf caught in the mountain man’s leg trap and lured it into a lunge. His rapier snapped out as the chain brought it up short, the wolf’s growl turning into a wet gurgle as it slid to the ground.
