Alric thinks slowly to himself "Hmmm... How about Citrus Caverns?" He thinks of the massive quantity of peels and seeds he left along the way.

Alric also walks sadly over to Rita and looks at her. After a moment, he turns to Kyra "Do you think you could, you know, say something for her? A little service, maybe?"

Ah right, Ramachandra. Well hopefully he rolls lower against your color spray than mine.

Yeah unfortunately it has decent will saves so daze-locking it is going to be really hard. Gotta try! Can anyone help me debuff it or its saves?

Alric tries again to slow down the minotaur's mind.

Daze. DC 15 will. I don't think he moved toward me but I'll 5 ft step back if necessary to keep him at 15 ft distance.

Alric continues his running motion to leap across the stream!

Once he gets to the other side, he hurls his spell at the minotaur, hoping to bring it to a stand-still. Flashing colors stream from his hands.

Color spray. DC 16 will. I should be 15 feet away so hopefully I don't provoke.

Alric moves to catch up with the others. He calls out "If I can get a little closer, I might be able to help!"

Hmmm... I probably forgot to take a move action at some point as I'm VERY far behind. Double move. Trying to get this guy in color spray range.

Alric joins his allies in firing at the minotaur.

Alric conjures a second Janira out of mid air! It splits off from the original and runs around in circles to distract the minotaur!

Casting silent image. I can move it within the long range of the spell as much as I like while concentrating so I'd like to keep it running just a little ways ahead of the minotaur, say 20 ft.

Alric looks serious for the first time. "That was close... I was afraid we'd lose you... We'll have to be careful from now on. Are any of us sneaky enough to scout ahead?"

Alric fires at well but has an even worse chance of hitting! But he shrugs Maybe I'll get lucky! I've got to help Kyra and Rita!

Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 = 15Probably some soft cover penalties too...
Dam: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

I added the +1 as I believe Janira's inspire courage is just all over this battlefield, not localized specifically?

Alric reloads his crossbow while stepping back a little ways. "Seems like we might want to just stay fire away while shooting it?"

Alric moves up next to Ramachandra and fires his crossbow at the creature.

I imagine it at least has cover against my attack from where I am...

Alric points at the mass of jelly. "Hey look. That's bad. Why am I in front?"

Then he moves around the side and back.

Alric nods to the others and continues along the hallway the centipede started running down. He pulls out a few clementines as he walks and offers them to the group. "Anybody want a snack?"

Alric takes a look at the funny little blue people to see if there are any clues as to why they were down here.

Having little to do to help catch the centipede, Alric pulls out a lime and peels it while changing the sounds to that of a dramatic fanfare heralding a chase!

Edit: Made a heavy xbow attack, forgetting that it takes a full round to reload.

Alric waves his fingers toward the centipede and creates the sound of a growling dire badger to frighten and distract the creature from Umbaraki.

Badgers prey on centipedes so it would make some sense that a massive badger would prey on a big ol' centipede. Also, it's a subterranean predator. DC 15 will save to disbelieve. Maybe it makes the centipede waste an action or at least give Umbaraki a bonus to attack for a round?

Alric nods with satisfaction as he sees his allies working competently. He pulls his crossbow and fires at the approaching blue creatures.

Oh right! Sorry. DC 17 reflex. 1 spell level +5 int + 1 spell focus.

Alric shares the information he just gleaned with the others, emphasizing the poison and damage reduction. Then he moves out if the way and casts his spell.

Alric will follow along behind Rita, smiling congenially. Ooh I wonder if they have good snacks they'd be willing to share... I could really go for a mandarin orange right now...

Alric nods to the others. "Great! We've found some people. Let's go talk to them."

Alric nods and smiles at the creature then follows along after Kyra. "We'd better be careful. I can't tell what that thing is from the description."

Alric watches the exchange intently. Oh yeah! It'd be great if he could give us a quick summary.

Alric nods in relief. Oh! He was just deaf... Ok that makes sense...

Alric removes the cloak, revealing his significantly plainer robes underneath. He then hands it to the gillman.

Alric shrugs back. "Is there anything special about it? Can somebody tell if it's magic or not?"

Alric nods at Ramachandra's idea. "That might be it. He hasn't said anything in any language..." He points to the passage to the left and looks at the Gill questioningly. Then he points to the right and does the same.

Kyra. He can see the Cloak on me. Do you want me to take it off and hand it to him? Happy to.

Alric shrugs. "I don't really know how to talk to him but didn't we come here to find out what these guys were doing? Seems like he's an important part of the goal." Alric gestures to his own cloak and to the gillman's. "Uh... Hi! What are you doing here?"

Alric smiles at the gillman's attention. Yes this cloak really is quite nice. Wait... why is he staring at me like that?

I probably would have at least stuffed it in my pack if no one else did. It looked kind of nice at least, right? So then I'm probably wearing it. Blue and silver look good on Alric.

Alric smiles and waves at the creature. I bet I'm making a great first impression in this awesome cloak!

Seeing the gillman, Alric steps slightly forward "Hi there! We mean you no harm. My name is Alric. What's yours?" He keeps an eye on the big centipedes winding around in the cave. Ugh... those things probably have a nasty bite...

Alric looks at the runes and mumbles to himself while snacking on a lime he had hidden in his pocket.

Alric takes a long look at the inscriptions. "Interesting! Anyone have any ideas?"

Only have a couple of knowledges trained at level 1 so I can only attempt DC 10s on the others.

Alric nods at Umbaraki. "Heh heh. Good strategy!" He tries to help set the plank across the pit.

Alric points at the square edges of the pit. "Somebody made this pit. About a year ago, I think, since the edges are slightly worn by time." He looks at the bundle of cloth at the bottom. "I wonder what that is." He looks around at the others. "Anybody good at jumping? They could help us bad jumpers climb up the other side."

Alric nods to the others and whispers "Yes it's good to have back-up. Let's find these gillmen!" and continues walking along through the cave.

Alric rushes into the cave with the others. "C'mon, c'mon, let's go! If we don't listen to her, we could all die! She has experience and I think she can handle herself."

Alric looks around slowly with a dumb smile on his face as Kyra and Qiroyo look very comfortable here in the wilderness. "Hey there guys... you look really used to places like this..."

Alric smiles happily at his allies. "Thanks, Janira! I'm ok. We did good, friends!"
