Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad pulls himself up, wounded grievously by the blast of the god machine, and follows his brothers.

dodge: 1d100 ⇒ 31 vs 43

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Your apostle of the true gods, most blessed and possessed, has returned.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Can we say that hit took me out of the fight? I'm leaving the country in two days and won't be back for a bit over a week, and will be too busy touristing to post.

Dodge check anyways: 1d100 ⇒ 59 Nope.
Daemon protection: 1d100 ⇒ 97 Nope.
The concussive knocked me down, I need to do my toughness check against the stun. 1d100 ⇒ 23 Only failed by 12, that's stunned for 1 or 2 rounds I think.

Akkad follows his companions down the shaft.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"The Changer of Ways desired we come here, likely," he glances over towards Draex briefly, "to kill and destroy. The monolith? The Kalugura? Let's find out." He follows Aldegund.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Parry TN 49: 1d100 ⇒ 18

Akkad easily deflects the attack from the large machine.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"The abominable intelligence speaks! Do you truly have a will, or are you spattering words programmed in to you?" Akakd takes another swing at the machine.

damage: 2d10 + 18 ⇒ (2, 1) + 18 = 21E PEN 7, felling 4, concussive 0

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad sprints the last few meters separating him from the machines, and swings at the one who appears to be a priest-king of some manner.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

agility: 1d100 ⇒ 77 Grox breeder...

Akkad faceplants with a complete lack of dignity. He growls wildly, hops up, and marches closer.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad keeps running towards the xenos automata, his crozius crackling with energy.

I'm going to run 15 meters closer.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad scrambles to his feet, growls inhumanly while shrieking daemonically, and advances on the accursed machines.

Get my Callipygian Rubenesque derriere up and move 5 meters to them.

"Aldegund, what is your recommendation? Can we try to disable this machinery and use it for ourselves, or should we destroy it all?"

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad growls angrily and swings at the little machines.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad pulls out a grenade, takes a moment to pick out a spot, and throws the frag into the mass of the scarabs, trying to not hit his allies.

Aim, Standard attack
Attack TN 59: 1d100 ⇒ 81
Damage: 2d10 + 2 ⇒ (10, 5) + 2 = 17 Blast 4 PEN 0

I don't know where the grenade went, but I'm pretty sure I didn't hurt any of us with it. EDIT: Except 1 point of damage from the zealous hatred.

Initiative: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad simultaneously releases an otherworldly screech while hissing, "Quiet, fool!" He takes a moment to compose himself, and says, "These xenos follow a radically different path than our race. Let us look upon their works, and see what fruits it bore them"

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

What Menstras said.
toughness: 1d100 ⇒ 53

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"Teleportation is through the warp, and their sudde demises would leave a psychic echo. Let's see what this is..."

Psyniscience TN 63: 1d100 ⇒ 62

EDIT: My psyniscience is active at all times thanks to the whole possessed thing, I would also like to know what I see, if anything, when Taloc approaches it.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"Son of Angron, brother, your father's implants were dramatically different. Were you in Ultramar, when our fathers ravaged the Five Hundred Worlds? You will live until slain in battle, but Angron had less than a decade before his nails would kill him. That is why my father worked so hard, and his sons sacrificed so much, to bring him ascension. Lorgar was the only one who ever loved Angron, hated by the rest of his brothers, hated by his father, hated by himself. Our greatest hero died there, but your father is now eternal, and free of the nails."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad approaches Draex, though not closely, and says, "Hold, champion of Khorne. They have no blood to spill, their skulls are worthless to your god. They are merely weapons, let our forge master examine them and decide what to do with these dead machines."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Dodge TN 43: 1d100 ⇒ 81
Daemon force field TN 38: 1d100 ⇒ 6

The blast washes harmlessly over Akkad, briefly stripping his illusion and letting all see his true form, but only for a moment.

Any warriors left?

init: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"Whatever xenos built them is likely long extinct. Let's move forward, and see what is in here before more of the defensive systems reactive."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"This is impossible. This place is completely untouched by the warp! We are in the Eye of Heaven, how could this be?"

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"Perhaps. The warp will surely have left is touch on every centimeter of this structure, let's see what we see..."

psyniscense TN 63: 1d100 ⇒ 6

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad flashes Taloc a hideous grin only he can see with his warpsight, and extends his unmutated arm to him. "I would be honoured for your assistance, blessed as you are."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"Magnus is now a creature of the Architect of Fate, and he sent us here for a myriad purposes. What is the significance of this xenos structures and the automata guarding it, and how does it fit into the schemes of his god?"

Akkad waits just inside the monolith for his fellows to finish studying the broken machines, anxious to explore this mystery.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad does not wish to throw himself in with the swarming things, and heads towards the strange monolith.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Sneaking ahead of Draex...

"You dare stand before me? Disgusting construct." Akkad presses the attack

Aim+Attack TN 79: 1d100 ⇒ 56
damage: 2d10 + 18 ⇒ (2, 4) + 18 = 24E Pen 7

Other effects:

Felling 4 - reduce unnatural toughness by 4
Concussive 0 - target needs to make a toughness (-0) test or be stunned for one round per degree of failure, and is knocked prone if it takes more damage than its str bonus.

Tell me, little passenger, what do you make of these things? Akkad uses the daemon's sight to look upon the automata and their monolith.

The alien's blade leaves a glancing wound which instantly closes.

My armour has chain bandoliers and may break the necrobot's weapon if it's not a power weapon.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad sprints into a different warrior than the World Eater, laughing in two voices as he swings his mace into the xeno automaton.

Charge TN 79: 1d100 ⇒ 80

He jinks slightly as he runs, and the bolts crackle through nothing but air. "Pathetic xenos automata, we will crush you"

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

A sick sound of grinding bone and ceramite comes from Akkad again, and he runs after Draex, staying a little bit behind.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad growls as he pulls himself free, and braces for a fight. Seeing the alien landscape around him, he focuses, and tries to look around with his new neverborn senses.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad pays his respects to the awesome being before him. "You have always been wise, one who understands that no knowledge is proscribed and all must be attained. Yet, you do not know what has come to you, and desire to understand. How have we found brotherhood with these sons of different fathers? One of your sons has taken this cause. Sons of Lorgar have taken to this. You desire to learn why."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

"The Thousand Sons of Magnus the Red have always been the wisest of us, yet they have suffered the most, betrayed by their father and the gods. There is much risk and reward for us here."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

It is a heavy choice to walk away from one's heritage, and Akkad spends much time meeting with Sargon, trying to understand his path and what led him to serve as Abaddon's prophet, along with any secrets or wisdom he has picked up along the way. The day will come when he must return to Sicarus, and Akkad wants to be ready.

I want to find some more rituals, particularly the one to make a daemon weapon and ones to bind more kinds of daemons.

Acquisition: Legion Combi-Bolter TN 51: 1d100 ⇒ 48

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

I was thinking of Chaos Organ, grab unnatural fellowship.

Psuedo-daemonhood would have no game effects except giving me an uncontrollable temptation to frequently say, "'Sup dawg I hear you like daemons..."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Gift of the Gods time!

1d100 ⇒ 28
1d100 ⇒ 52

How silly would pseudo-daemonhood be on a possessed dude with the illusion of normality/normalcy (I will not stop pointing out they call it one thing in the table and another in text)? I need to think about this.

Psuedo-daemonhood is definitely interesting, chaos organ is always nice, dimensional instability seems weird, headless is too goofy, the rest are too meh or useless.

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad retrieves his mace, and walks to Abaddon and salutes.

"Your orders, Warmaster?" the last word spoken/growled in two voices.

I'm going to italicize my two-voice speech rather than mention it every time.
