Before stepping into the maze, Amaranti casts some spells to protect himself and his eidolon.
See invisibility on Amaranti, Mage armor(from wand), protection from evil and Barkskin on Kaisharga. earlier Heroism has some 45mins left, and Amaranti's Barkskin about 1h30. I tried to update the profiles, but Paizo went Paizo on me. I'll try again on weekend, need to run now.

My assistant GM brought up a good point. It wasn't made apparent in the red text. Upon entry into the maze, you are able to easily track where the group came from through the maze as the group that assaulted the lodge was around 15 people. That tracking has brought you to where you are now in the maze.

Setare uses her Wand of mage armor on herself.

“Well, at least fifteen people are rather difficult to hide their tracks, even from someone as terrible at finding her way as I am!”

She smiles briefly, but her expression turns serious as the enormous marble colossus and the strangely lifelike statues come into view.

“Oh… I really do not like this, especially after what we discovered in Adril’s room! Do you think these were once real people, turned to stone by the creature we heard about?”

Setare moves cautiously toward the front of the group, keeping her distance from the statues while scanning the ruined buildings for danger.

“Perhaps we should avoid looking directly at anything suspicious until we know what happened here… and please, everyone, avert your eyes!”

@GM Sasha - How high up can you be within the maze before you hit the invisible force ceiling?

1-03 maps | ◆◇↺ |

Inside the maze, there is no invisible force ceiling. But, you cannot seem to travel any farther than 20 ft up. If you try to go up higher, nothing gets in your way, you just don't seem to make any progress.

Kal’ryon walks the causeway with the idol hanging from his belt and the guisarme across his shoulders, and when the plaza opens ahead he stops long enough to take in the statues, every raised arm and open mouth turned the same way.

A test of loyalty, Osprey said, and Adril failed his. I care very little whether I pass mine, so long as I leave here with the sword.

They reach the clearing, and he draws his rod and wand and begins a series of rehearsed efforts. Once the ritual is complete, he shuts his eyes and leaves them shut.

”Setare is right. Look at nothing,” he says, and starts across the stones at the same easy pace. ”I have never needed my eyes to find the thing I mean to hit. I will hear it long before it reaches me.”

The motes spread out from his shoulders to arm’s length around him and hold there, drifting at the edges, while he walks.

To the north, age has conspired against this brittle structure, which must once have been a small chapel. The ceiling collapsed long ago, and huge gashes in the walls suggest that the rest of the place might topple to the ground any minute now. A bulky stone statue at the center of the building is difficult to make out from the causeway, but appears to be a contemplative humanoid face framed by a cobra-like hood adorns the body of this long serpent.

To the south, so damaged are the walls of this roofless structure that the building’s original purpose is impossible to determine. Amid the rubble within stand five statues of primitive human men, Mwangi warriors by the looks of them. Each wears a simple grass skirt and bone fetish necklaces, and each also bears a considerable length of chain.

To the northwest, the massive walls of this immense ruin must once have formed the facade of an impressive palace. An enormous humanoid statue, stooped on all fours and still two dozen feet tall, looms in the shadows within.

To the southwest, a narrow set of thin stairs leads some 20 feet up to the surface of a large raised platform just off the main causeway. The white marble structure bears significantly less damage than most of the other buildings in the courtyard. Dozens of humanoid statues crowd the open space around the foot of the stairs

A sibilant female voice seems to come from the air around you, snaking its way into your brains without actually making a sound. “Ssssso many visitors! Sssso many with weaponsss and murder on their minds. For yearssss and yearsss no one would visit Condria’sss garden. Ssssso many years. Ssssso lonely. But now you come in numberssss! With your ssscarlet cloaksss and your ssswords of ssteel. It issss good that you have come, for now you shall never leave!”

As the voice finishes, the serpent statue to the north begins moving and changes from stone to brightly colored scales. Its eyes glow with a fiery red intensity.
